Banzo puts his arm through one shoulder of the yellow vest and begins spinning in a circle trying to get his other arm through the other one.
"I don't think these vests are designed for tortles. It's just not going to fit me without some significant alterations."
" Right....", the gardener looked flustered. " I think just wear it as a hat."
" The dogs won't bother you if your wearing the vests during the day....they won't save you once the sun goes down, mind.....poor old Errol...never good at telling time..."
Once suitably attired the gardener opens the the huge metal gates and allows you access, he leads you up a white marble footpath with the beautifully manicured lawns on either side to a set of white marble steps which shine against the black volcanic stone that the mansion is built from.
The other gardeners watch you with interest and three of the heavily muscled mastiffs watch you warily as you pass. At the top of the stairs is a shining door of polished ebony, a silken cord with a brass knob at the end hangs down to the left of the door and the gardener pulls it before excusing himself and heading back to work.
You hear the sound of footsteps on stone approaching from the other side of the door followed by the sound of a bolt sliding in a metal bracket. The door is opened by a truly enormous bald headed man in a black suit jacket that stretches across his barrel chest. His shoes are highly polished and he wears black trousers which are impeccably pressed.
He raises an eyebrow and takes you all in, his bronze tanned face crinkling into a slight smile as he notes the more unusual among you.
" Who should I say is calling on Lady Francesca de la Vette? You are not Striders...and there are too many of you into the bargain so your not delivering mail. You are in search of employment then? We have enough houseguards....ah....treasure hunters then?"
"Re..Re...Re...," Shalana switches off and on for a moment, "Relic hunters," he allows the others to fill in more details, the excitement is causing some sort of haywire inside the mechanical man.

" You may enter. I will inform her ladyship that you are here."
He ushers you in then leaves you in the entrance hall as he mounts the sweeping white marble staircase to second storey.
As you wait you take in the cavernous room of shining white stone, the slit-like windows of the mansion do not offer much sunlight but the room is festooned with candelabras and candle brackets.
Two serious looking men in bronze chased maille stand at the other end of the hall with polished ebony shafted glaives.
Zeltheris will casually walk over to the armed men, and beginning examining their weapons and armor, "Interesting, nice color contrast. I should work more color into my tales, perhaps with some visual aids."
The two men ignored the entertainer but suddenly snapped to attention as there was the sound of heels on the staircase.
The woman descending the stairs wore a friendly smile but her eyes were all business.
" Welcome to Hog House. I believe that at least some of you are the ones described as the Heroes of Chalice....and now you wish to work for me? It is...how do you say? Delight. Yes?"
" Now....before we start...have you found anything already that I may like? I am especially interested in relics from The Trolltooth Wars and The Age of Wizards...but honestly I have very eclectic tastes..."
" Or should we get right down to business? And if so how much would be the retainer?"
"I think getting down to business would be good." Brocc says with a glance to the others. "As far as retainer, I am not quite certain, as we do not know what you are wanting done..."

" Nothing to strenuous for such mighty heroes, a little looting and pillaging of some abandoned places out on the plains...perhaps the hills? Shall we say 150 gold per week for the group while you are working for me?"
"I mean hoping people find stuff and bring it tp you is all well and good but we were hoping you had some leads on specific items. Maps and other such things."
Banzo looks at the shape of the person and admires how diverse they are for people without a shell.
" Well...it was more, how you say?... interest in what you had already found on your travels. Items...these I do not have leads on...there are so many conflicting accounts. But places! Places I have!'
" Trolltooth Pass, you know it of course.there are many fortifications there with many interesting things left over from the wars.....but now the Salamonians are beginning to reoccupy and rebuild many of them. And...I would like to get there first. You are interested?"
" There are two main ruins I am interested in, one belonged to Zharradan Marr and the other to Balthus Dire."
" Some of you may die."
" But...more for the rest of you then. Yes? Is joke, no?"
"So, if I am understanding this correctly..." Brocc says with a frown. "You mostly want a chance to purchase things we find in our own travels, but would like us to check out these two places, in particular, as well." He glances to the others, then back to the woman. "For doing these things you are willing to pay us 150 gold per week. Is that correct."
(( No worries. Both Glaive and Halberd are 16gp with the discount from Cy for being with Hatch, Brocc and Banzo.)
" Right you are, Sirs.", the gardener looked slightly flustered then smiled to himself and ran off to a nearby shed.
He returned a minute later with a handful of yellow vests similar to what he and his fellows were wearing.
" Pop these on and I'll open gate and see you up to the house, Her Ladyship is always looking for them knick-knacks."
Shalana watches the others put on the vest before its attempt.

(Would Zeltheris know if there is some reason for the vests? Otherwise he'd ask about them.)
" Right....", the gardener looked flustered. " I think just wear it as a hat."

Puts on the vest. "Right, fair enough. Don't want to be dog chow."
Brocc shrugs into the vest and nods. "I'll just have my spider here wait at the gate then..." he has his spider mount stay out near the gate.
Shalana looks at the fabric intently and then wraps it around its arm.

"We have come to offer our services to the lady of the house, as relic hunters." Brocc confirms what the construct is saying.
" Very well."

Fine for me, milady
" Yes....I am to get first option to purchase on items you find.....and there will be employer discount which we can work out later."
" And of course you are free to keep anything which I am not interested in....so most of it...I have quite specialised interests."
