"Let's take the first load off to our friend the blacksmith." Brocc suggests as they wind their way through the streets. He guides them towards the blacksmith they did work for previously, the one who had them get some of that special metal for him. The plan would be to sell any of the unwanted armor and/or weapons to the blacksmith. While doing so, he would see if there would be any way to trade his own set of magical full plate for a set of half-plate armor, hopefully magical in nature as well.

"Once we each have our shares I can finally afford to have the blacksmith craft a silvered dagger or two, just for emergencies of course." Banzo adds with a cheshire grin.
Visiting Cys smithy, the massive Cyclops is pleased to see you all alive and well and with more members than you left with.
He is able to craft silvered daggers and he can, he believes, convert the suit of dwarven plate into a suit of half-plate without losing the defensive enchantments though he will not be able to preserve the enchantment that hinders movement.
( Not sure exactly what people are wanting to sell/exchange from their inventories probably best to sort that out in the OOC thread. But for the moment the 3x +1 maille he will buy for 1400 each. Cost for converting the full plate to half is 200gp and the silvered daggers are 15 gp.)
"Have you had any luck with that ore we brought you?" Brocc ass the blacksmith as they finish speaking of the items to buy and sell. "Have you found a good way to work it as of yet, and been able to make anything in the way of a finished product?"
Garet hangs at the back of the smithy not wishing to take part in the negotiations. He reckons that the original hero's of Chalice already have a relationship with the enormous Smith and any input he had may only bring the price down.
He had managed to canablise a set of half plate during their most recent adventures, he considered asking if it could be altered to better fit but waiting for the other negotiations to conclude.
Garets thoughts however do dwell on weapons specifically the sword he liberated from the barrow at Port Blacksand, those many years ago. He had grown accustomed to the Barons mutterings inside his head but on a couple of occasions on their most recent adventure it had proven troublesome he hadn't been able to take advantage of Herman's powers, and it filled him with such rage.
He needed to find a way of removing the troublesome spirit from the sword and was happy to spend each of his nearly earned gold pieces in doing so.
Garets thought snapped back to the here and now wondering what other items the smith could craft.

"Copying a Spell into the Book. When you find a wizard spell of 1st level or higher, you can add it to your spellbook if it is of a spell level you can prepare and if you can spare the time to decipher and copy it.
Copying that spell into your spellbook involves reproducing the basic form of the spell, then deciphering the unique system of notation used by the wizard who wrote it. You must practice the spell until you understand the sounds or gestures required, then transcribe it into your spellbook using your own notation.
For each level of the spell, the process takes 2 hours and costs 50 gp. The cost represents material components you expend as you experiment with the spell to master it, as well as the fine inks you need to record it. Once you have spent this time and money, you can prepare the spell just like your other spells."
Herman is not really into accountancy, let alone copying spells, so he follows all the transactions with suspicious eyes (all in all he is a townie, and he always thinks traders are up to screw you if they have the chance)
Enwynn seems unperturbed by the cyclops smith's ocular oddity, but is awed into an appreciative silence by the delicacy of his work, deadly beauty and bright shining protection in metal from hands that could crush a man's skull as easily as an egg. She looks around the workshop with great interest even as she wonders if the shield she carries was wrought by a smith like Cy.
Noticing Herman seems less pleased to be in such a gallery of warrior's delights, she steels her nerves and says to him quietly "I may not agree with you on some matters, but I mean you no ill will, and I am trying to understand your ways, so I have a question to ask you." Enwynn looks around then back to the barbarian as she asks "You seem unhappy to be in such a place so pleasing to one well versed in war. Is that the case, or have I misunderstood?"
Garet caught Enwynn looking around the smiths shop her eyes resting just a little too long on the various weapons of war in the smiths shop. Garets sharp senses also saw her glimpse occasionally at the shortsword he had managed to liberate from the dwarven stronghold.
The voice of the Baron rang through his mind, "You need no other weapon, but me."
Garet saw Enwynn talking to Herman and as the warrior did not seem to respond he took his chance and caught the elfs attention.
"Fair Enwynn I noticed that despite your skill with the bow you lack a second weapon, for when the quiver is empty." Garet shifted uncomfortably and then unbuckled the short sword from his belt.
"Perhaps this blade may be of use," Garet handed the blade to Enwynn.
"All I ask in return is a momento of a valiant comrade, a lock of your hair, " Garet was unsure why he needed such an item but something in his bones told him his fate rested on this.
Enwynn looks to Garet, then the blade he offers with a pensive air, and back as she says "I must admit that I am both interested in the blade, and intrigued by your request, but there will be one condition that must be agreed to." then smiles as she unsheathes a throwing dagger. The elf deftly cuts a thin lock of her shining black hair away with it, close to the scalp, then puts the dagger away.
She speaks in a tone of utmost seriousness as she explains "This gift I give to you, Garet, and no other. Please keep it safe, lest it be used against me."
While the crow on her shoulder watches Garet intently, she offers the lock of hair in her palm, still awaiting agreement before parting with it and taking the sword for closer examination.
(Waiting on the response on Brocc's question about the special material we brought the blacksmith, and if he was able to find a way to make use of it...)
Herman esitated to answer until eventually Garet intervened (luckily fir him, he did not have to answer),
He assisted to the strange exchange between the two. only when the elvess left to check the new weapon, Herman blinks to Garet and make a quick obscene gesture with the fingers.
Overall thinking : *******... he misses the words... he uses weirdo because he doesn't know the word feticist
Banzo makes his way to a shop to buy the special inks and materials needed to copy spells into his spellbook. He spends 150 gold on those items and then proceeds to his room. He spends 2 hours and 50 gold worth of inks and materials to copy the 1st level spell 'Arcane Healing' into his spellbook. Then after a brief respite wherein he takes a drink from his waterskin he spends 4 hours and 100 gold worth of inks and materials to copy the 2nd level spell 'Backforge's Stone Self' into his spellbook.

Cy gives Brocc a sad smile, " Not as yet. I can work it and fashion it like other metals.....but I have not yet managed to unlock the secrets to awaken its true potential.....but I'll get there! Mark my words! "
" These items your trading are exceptional work. Dwarven obviously but much better than I've seen in Stonebridge and other dwarven towns around here. Where did you aquire them?"
The Hill Goblin captives are handed over to Commander Morval of the Chalice Guard who promises to see that they are set to work to pay back to the community for their crimes........and after a short conversation with the Blade Captain he nods.
" Ya, Might be there will be a place for you among our ranks but you've a lot of dung to sweep and litter to collect before that could become an eventuality."
He thanks the Heroes of Chalice again for their work in keeping the trade routes through the Moonstone Hills safe and promises to advise the town council of their fine work.
At the Cyclops' words Garet steps forward, again not knowing why but somehow feeling the pull of destiny.
"We found these at a university a centre of learning, a cathedral dedicated to the dwarven arts, beautiful were the wonders that we saw in that place and the items we carry an ongoing testament to the ongoing skills of the dwarven smiths of long ago." Garet paused before continuing.
"But that was not all we found in there, for in that place dwelled a great evil, and it had taken root, for when we walked those once beautiful halls, we did so over the remains of valiant dwarves. Not just the warriors, but the children slaughtered as if nothing, as if cattle." Garet paused to wipe the mere existence of a tear at the corner of his eye with a piece of cloth.
"I felt the dwarves of that place speak to us urging us to free them from torment, we did barely I also feel their need for those resources to be used, metals, truestone the like of which not seen before for the restoration of those proud warriors."
Garet flung his arm out towards the warrior smith. "What say you, will you help the dwarven hero's of legend? will you right their wrong?." Stealthy Garet passed the strip of cloth to the smith he had used incase he too needed to shed a tear.
Garet didn't know why he had to give such an empassioned speech, he just had a feeling that he needed an emotional response, that blood sweat and tears were needed.
Ooc Hopefully that's worth a tear I've also done a performance roll (20) if required, I'm no Zeltheris but needs must.
Cy dabbed at his great eye and passed the cloth back to Garet with a sigh, " I see the need but I doubt the mortal children of Throff would take kindly to a giant in their ancient steading..."
Cy is intrigued by Shalana but warns against taking the construct to Hog House if they are looking to sell artifacts there as the lady of the house will likely offer to buy the automaton for her collection.
Garet looks at the giant Smith. "You speak true Master Smith but I'm sure that we could speak to the dwarves and make sure that any metals recovered from these ancestral homes you have chance to purchase at a reasonable rate." Garet lifts two additional items a fine shield and a Mace and places on the counter with the other items they have brought for sale.
"A finer collection of items you could not wish for and at 7700 gold a price that surely can not be beaten." Garet then picks some other items of gear and lays them on the counter.
"Weapons of my own that I no longer require the helm was liberated from a Thief in the vile city of Port Blacksand, and cries for noble use. Give me what you see fit Master Smith as I know you as honorable and trust your judgement." Garet places the dagger, handaxe, shortsword and helm on the counter.
"I hesitate to ask more Master Smith but I have one last favour. I want to wear a token around my neck to remind me of the Dwarven university, could you attach this gold coin" Garet flourishes a coin. "Liberated from that place to a chain, for me to wear around my neck, so that it can bathe in Glantankas light, and remind me that from dark places does indeed come light, if you need coin for this use what you would make from these weapons." Garet indicates the personal weapons he had just placed on the counter.

Garet nods and gratefully receives the hair whilst noting the attention of Enwyns avian companion.
He notes the sheen and luster not unlike the sheen on the crows wings before deftly placing in a pouch for safe keeping.
