Garet looks at the giant Smith. "You speak true Master Smith but I'm sure that we could speak to the dwarves and make sure that any metals recovered from these ancestral homes you have chance to purchase at a reasonable rate." Garet lifts two additional items a fine shield and a Mace and places on the counter with the other items they have brought for sale.
"A finer collection of items you could not wish for and at 7700 gold a price that surely can not be beaten." Garet then picks some other items of gear and lays them on the counter.
"Weapons of my own that I no longer require the helm was liberated from a Thief in the vile city of Port Blacksand, and cries for noble use. Give me what you see fit Master Smith as I know you as honorable and trust your judgement." Garet places the dagger, handaxe, shortsword and helm on the counter.
"I hesitate to ask more Master Smith but I have one last favour. I want to wear a token around my neck to remind me of the Dwarven university, could you attach this gold coin" Garet flourishes a coin. "Liberated from that place to a chain, for me to wear around my neck, so that it can bathe in Glantankas light, and remind me that from dark places does indeed come light, if you need coin for this use what you would make from these weapons." Garet indicates the personal weapons he had just placed on the counter.
Monies are handed over ( + an additional 100 gp for the other items), it is a matter of minutes for Cy to convert the coin into a necklace, he also throws in a ' demon dagger' as well.
Enwynn turns to examine the shortsword, remaining in the workshop, but unconcerned by other matters for a moment as she puzzles over the sigils inscribed upon the blade. She looks back to the negotiations at the mention of Stonebridge, and sheathes the as yet unnamed sword as she listens more closely.
While Garet tells a tale of a dwarven stronghold lost in ages past, its inhabitants slain without mercy by foes that included demons among their number, rather than dissolving into tears, her eyes grow narrower, gleaming as if already seeking out a foe in the dark below the green surface of the land. Corwyn makes what might be an approving caw at the conclusion of Garet's exposition.
The elf nods once in solemn understanding, shrugs her backpack off her shoulders, the crow stepping nimbly over it to keep his perch as she does so. Enwynn opens the pack and struggles out an oddly shaped object wrapped in a sheepskin blanket. Unwrapping it reveals a helmet, wrought of gilded leather that shimmers like polished gold, and crowned with two wings carved from polished jet and set with feathers that look similar to Corwyn's sleek plumage.
Enwynn compares the helm to the suits of mail from older dwarven smiths, then says "The work of King Gillibran's finest dwarven artisans may not be the equal of their ancestors, but it is still fine enough for me to wear and the equal of my own people's work in armoursmithing, and I am most appreciative of their willingness to adapt a previous design to suit an unexpected friend's needs."
She looks to Garet and explains "I believe he would be both saddened and grateful for news of a lost stronghold." then to Cy as she offers with a smile "And he is a more tolerant ruler than many would think."
Garet accepts the coin sharing it out amongst the companions who braved the stronghold and quickly dons the necklace making sure the coin is visible to the sun, places the demon dagger to his belt, and gives the smith a nod.
Garet is about to leave when Enwynn speaks, surprised by her words he responds.
"Well lady you do have some interesting friends King Gillibran of Stonebridge, is known to all, do you have a way of contacting his majesty. I could transcribe a note for your avian friend at a pinch Or perhaps he has agents in Chalice." Garet winced inwardly his Dwarvish taught to him during his time on the pirate ship Revenge by the Dwarven cook Short John, was functional and heavy on the more colourful words.
Herman likes Garet's speech even if he thinks that deep down his friend is only trying to make more money : he hopes it does the trick.
Eventually , a very good question from Garet! The barbarian wonders where it could lead (even if he thinks that deep down his friend is only trying to make sex with Enwyn: he hopes it does the trick.)
All through the negotiation he looks around to see what the cyclops sells.

"I have met him quite recently, whilst returning a lost treasure to his safekeeping." Enwynn replies cheerfully "Gillibran Ironhelm may be a king, but he has been a good friend to me in the brief time I have known him personally rather than by repute."
The elf makes some calculations of distance as the crow flies then offers "I will seek a local messenger if there are no emissaries of his to be found in Chalice to take a letter to him. Alas, I am not well versed in Dwarven beyond a few phrases of formal greeting at best, yet if the message must be written rather than memorized, it would be polite to do so in his own people's language."
Enwynn concludes "It would be simpler for me to send a short message by bird for the moment and compose a more formal missive for a courier on foot later."

Zeltheris finally looks up from his lute, “I‘m fluent in dwarvish and quite comfortable with the styles of writing expected of formal missives, I would be happy to transcribe, and edit as needed, any message you would like to send.”
"Very well." Brocc says as he finishes up the discussion with the blacksmith. He turns to his companions. "Anyone have any other places they wish to stop, prior to heading to find food and lodging?"
Enwynn looks from Garet to Zeltheris and smiles before replying "I am grateful for your help also, particularly with the formal mode of High Dwarven. With your and Garet's aid, I am sure we will succeed."
When Herman breaks off from his respectful bargaining with Cy to offer his own skill in Dwarven to the cause, Enwyn is a little surprised but answers his kind offer with equal gratitude as she did to Garet and Zeltheris before as she says "You are a man of unexpected talents, and I welcome your aid in this task also."
She waits for his business to be concluded, then politely offers a single gemstone, a tiny but brilliant diamond to Cy and asks "Mastersmith Cy, do you need one more gem? I am in need of some coin to make other purchases, but if you do not wish to buy it then I will not trouble you further."
(Gem is Dwarven mined and cut, ~100 GP value, and Enwynn needs some cash for provisions, more ink, some sheets of parchment, and a spare blank book.)
At Brocc's query, Enwynn answers "I suspect that I going to need more writing supplies and..." then breaks off as Corwyn pecks her ear. The elf laughs and continues "...And a cheesemonger, while I still have ears."

The Lion Inn is a stylish establishment and one of the first drinking houses established in Chalice and this is where you now find yourselves.
The tap room is an eclectic mix of old and new where you receive a warm cheer from the sparse crowd as you enter. The menu contains many Chalice classics (Goat Head Soup, Stuffed Catfish and Orc Weed Stew ) together with specials boards to give variety to returning customers.
Stylishly decorated mostly with antiques and salvaged furniture, The Lion is an eclectic mix. The bar is pure Salamonian theatre with black bar top, dispensing a good selection of real ales. This bar is the main feature of the tap room, dominating its entrance and it serves a number of lagers, locally brewed ales and porters alongside a wine list.
There are only a couple of drinkers sitting at tables, two older human men in expensive jackets, who look up as you enter.
Boonsri is yawning and wiping down tables and as you enter she calls out towards the bar as you enter, " Gilber! They're back!"
A very happy looking gnome pokes his head up from behind the bar stepping onto the beam behind it to bring himself up to viewing height he has two small grayish primates, one sitting on either shoulder.
" Oh! The Heroes of Chalice return....well...some of them! And with new friends. Very pleased to meet you all! I am Gilber, the owner of this fine establishment and this is Daisy and Lily.", he finished indicating his simian adornments to the new companions.
Food, lodging and drink are provided, the two Graunies inspect the new folk with interest but spend most of their time playing with Banzo before Gilber sends them off to nap.
( You have 5 days at the Lion Inn at the cost of 25 gp room and board total because of favours owed, cities saved etc.
Please make sure you exchange/sell/court/investigate/buy all you need to in Chalice in this time as I may drop a dragon on you at the end of those 5 days. :) )

"How much for this, master?"
