Zeltheris spends the evening performing the ongoing ballad of the heroes of chalice, widely exaggerated.
Performance: 7
The next day, he spends his time searching the city, looking for someone to recharge his magic gem and other sellers of magic items. As he searches the city, he spreads more rumors of the exploits of the heroes.
Banzo is happy to see the Graunies doing well, also Boonsri and Gilber. Once Daisy and Lily are sent for a nap Banzo seeks to catch up on local news/gossip.
"Tell me Gilber how have things been in our absence? I take it all is well in Chalice?"
(after hearing what Gilber has to say in response.)
"And no further trouble with your neighbor?"

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Garet sits back as Banzo, and Brocc negotiate with the Innkeeps. He hands over his share of the gold and quickly makes his way to his room.
For those around in the Inn later in the evening you see Garet return and you notice a change in him, and the change is curious for he appears both careworn as if he had been through a major ordeal buy also oddly relieved as if a major worry had been lifted from him.
In appearance those of sharp eye will also note that the rapier, he once wore is no longer the same instead of the full blade that was once there secured at his belt is just the hilt. Those of even shaper eyes will notice the gold necklace and chain are missing and that his coin purse seems considerably lighter than before.
Shalana buzzes, "Shalana needs routine maintenance and a oil change."
Brocc can probably assist with that, the Tower may also be of assistance. Shalana may also be able to look at grafting items to themselves on a permanent basis, will need to enquire with Girior about that.

Zeltheris received a smattering of applause and cheers for his rendition.
Zeltheris discovers that there are very few places where magical items can be purchased or acquired in Chalice ( see OOC. Though it will likely just be Common or Uncommon.). He does however discover a mendicant dwarven priest of Kerellim ( Throff) who is able to infuse his gem once more for a small fee ( 25gp) and a promise to spread the word of Kerellim to all his fellows. ( Damn good roll that..).

" Very peaceful indeed Master Banzo, very good all round."
" No, no trouble with the grumpy old bugger, now that the girls have each other to keep themselves entertained."
" And yourselves? Lots of new faces.....I hope your former companions are still well?"

"As do I Gilber, you see some have ventured off to seek their own fortune but our numbers have swelled as both our reputation and good fortune have drawn the attention of accomplished adventurers far and wide."
Banzo orders some food and drink, and settles in to spend an hour or two just relaxing in the inn's ambiance.
Later, when Garet returns Banzo somewhat misreads the circumstances of the situation.
"Garet, you look like you were mugged, what troubles you?"

— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Garet smiles wryly, "Not exactly mugged my friend, a bargain was made and it cost me most of what I had, but if I had my time again I'd do the same thing."
Garet sighs before he goes on to explain, happy to unburden. "Banzo, Herman we have stood side by side a number of times, no doubt you noticed the weapon I wielded my rapier was magical in nature, but."
Garet drew breath before he continued "but that power came at a price, the sword was cursed with a vengeful spirit, that of Baron Valentis, former ruler of Port Blacksand, I noticed of late the Baron was gaining greater influence over me and I couldn't let that happen."
"So with my new found wealth I went to the tower of high sorcery here in Chalice, and begged Madame Giror to remove the curse from my blade," Garet motioned to the hilt stapped to his swordbelt.
"She did and I'll not describe the process as it was fraught, but it cost me everything I brought." Garet unstrapped the hilt from his belt and hefted it in his hand.
"However the magic in the sword was strong and once the evil spirit of the Baron was removed its true magic became clear." Garet smiled and reaching within himself for the magic and from the hilt extended a Longsword blade but instead of steel it looked like it was made from pure sunlight. Garet concentrated again and the blade disappeared as if it had never been.
Garet looked to Herman "Indeed the tattoo troubles me, but as yet, I have felt no ill affects, but at some point I would look to have it removed or covered, as I'm sure the mark of a Demon Prince can only be an ill omen, but for now I have not the coin or know nobody in Chalice up to the task. Other than perhaps Madame Giror and im in no rush to return to that tower so soon"
Enwynn bows politely to the smith, and leaves the premises. The elf is already attempting to compose an appropriately formal message for a king in her head, and in some danger of walking into walls without helpful caws of warning from Corwyn. She puts off her search for a jeweler to convert precious stones to equally precious but more convenient metal coinage to purchase supplies with for the moment and follows along with the party to the inn. She reasons that cheese will likely be found there, and there are a few spare pages left in her notebook to plan out her rough draft of the letter in Common tongue for translation into Dwarven.
While her eye lingers on the antique eight-legged carved ebony stool by the door inside the Lion Inn, she seems calm and merely curious as to its origins. When she then catches sight of Lily and Daisy sitting on the otherwise jovial innkeeper's shoulders, she momentarily stiffens in shock but as Corwyn shows no signs of alarm, nor anyone else for that matter, and the pair seem to have a regular number of legs and no signs of aggression, she swiftly revises her earlier mistaken identification and shows a relieved smile.
The elf offers a polite "Pleased to meet you, sir, and your companions. I am Enwynn Of The Forest, and the sleek gentleman on my shoulder answers to Corwyn."in response. She nods in silent agreement over the cost of lodgings and pays up her share without complaint in mixed coinage, many of which are of Stonebridge minting.
Armed with wine, and a generous serving of bread and cheese, Enwynn sits down in a quiet corner and surveys the eclectic yet somehow harmonious assortment of furnishings, feeds Corwyn his share of cheese, eats her own snack, and sips her wine as she composes a letter with many hesitations over the phrasing and the occasional mutter of "No, that's not right either..." followed by a sigh and more scribbling until the task is finished.
The first draft is brief and to the point:
Greetings to you, King Gillibran Ironhelm III of Stonebridge, and I hope you are well. My thanks for your most generous hospitality, and I send news of a matter that may be of interest to you and your people. A lost Dwarven stronghold has been recently discovered and investigated by the heroes of Chalice, a group of greatly varied and talented people whom I have had the pleasure to meet in their travels.
In the course of their explorations, great dangers were encountered yet they survived and brought back many items of a historical nature as proof of their endeavors. If you wish for further details of their investigation, I will be happy to send you a more detailed account soon, but I thought it best to send written word to you of this discovery as quickly as possible.
I may be reached at the Lion Inn in Chalice for the next few days if you wish to inquire further.
Yours sincerely,
Enwynn Of The Forest
PS: I owe the three heroic gentlemen who helped translate this letter into your own language a debt of thanks for their work in this task.
She then sits back, finishes her wine, and carefully makes a clear copy to give to Garet, Zeltheris, and Herman to translate as best they can. That done she looks about in search of them to do so, and finds them deep in conversation about demon princes and tattoos.
She does not interrupt with any of the thousand questions that arise in her mind at this most alarming revelation, but simply waits for an apposite moment to offer the three sheets of paper to them and explain "I have done my best to convey the required information in the appropriate words in Common speech. It is up to you now gentlemen to provide a translation fit for a king's eyes. I will buy parchment tomorrow to write the final version on, unless those who supply scribes in Chalice keep late hours in business?"
The elf also offers "If there is any aid I can offer in the matter of removing demonic curses, my help is yours and freely given, but I have little experience of demons beyond killing one, and I do not know if that is of any use to you."
Other than that, he would spend the entire time spreading wildly exaggerated tales of the exploits and composing his ballad. He would also work on translating the letter (role required?).
Shalana tries to corner unwilling victims and rambles at them about ascension.
Religion:12
Shalana manages to use up almost all of the remaining tracts in their storage compartments and finds a number of folks....mostly Gnomes and Striders who seem quite interested in learning more. Shalana also attracts the attention of a rather rangy looking wizard in his 40s who invites the construct to attend the tower for a full service and repairs in exchange for being allowed to make some sketches.
Then I want to ask around for magic tattoo makers in town, maybe one of them can know something ... anybody wants to join?!
There are a couple of tattoo parlours down near the river but it soon becomes apparent that they possess no magical talent and little real artistic talent either.....

Zeltheris does actually manage to locate a number of the items, though he has no luck finding any of the elemental gems he does discover that Girior and her compatriots at the Tower do have a Bag of Holding they are willing to part with in exchange for either other items of interest or cash. There is a rumour that the Necromancer that Banzo had past dealings with has a wand of some type....though folks don't seem particularly sure what type exactly.
He finds no rumours of magical bandora.....or even mundane bandora.....Chalice seems much more into percussion and woodwinds than stings from his investigations.....there is however a local festival coming up in the next few days that is advertising a magical drum as one of the prizes in the performance competition.
Holding off on the bag for now, Zeltheris would absolutely sign up for the competition in hopes of getting that drum and would seek out the necromancer in the meantime.
Brocc spends most of the time he has in the small smithy he found to rent. He performed tests on the true stone, and did some minor working with bits of it, both with his smith tools and his tinker tools. For now his trials are more to learn how to work the stone than to make anything specific. Rolls are in the OOC PM.
Herman gets back at the Inn, willing to take part in the translation
"Moreover,
There are definitely one or two magical tatooists in Blacksand and likely someone similar amongst some of the tribal folk to the North of the Moonstone Hills.
In my opinion when we are set, we should go there, I feel it is important "
Banzo will accompany Zeltheris when he visits the necormancer. (No one should visit a necromancer alone ;)
"The last time I was here Zeltheris the necromancer had some kind of deadly ooze on the premises. Just want you to know what might be in for."

Rhythm-Maker’s Drum, +1
Bag of Holding
Fochlucan Bandore
Elemental Gem any of them, perhaps from the same person who recharged that one.
Wand of Magic Missiles
