Tzedaka gives a brief glare at Banzo, feeling scolded.
She seems to be in a great mood, for such a gloomy and dark place. Her girlish cheer and laughter breaks through the darkness and chill of such a place.
She pays no apparent attention to the structures ahead, seeming to be fascinated by the dark waters, searching for creatures in the water, trying to spot movement. Her excitement continues (as if this were her first day ever going to a zoo or aquarium), grabbing various people's sleeves, pointing and giggling when she sees movement or a splash in the water.
"I know we'll have to check those buildings out to know for sure what purpose they serve but I advise caution, there could be a trap or ambush waiting for us."
Banzo looks more at ease as they approach the other side, anticipating being on dry land again.

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
As the boat gets to within 30' of the shore the old man suddenly lets out a shrill whistle and throws himself off the side of the boat into the water, in response to the whistle the doors of the buildings are thrown open and a dozen Lizardfolk carrying loaded heavy crossbows emerge and aim at those onboard.
( Roll Initiative.
The Lizardfolk don't seem to notice Tannin high above just yet. Due to your wariness there is no suprise round.)

Garet seeing the glint of crossbow bolts readied himself, and tried to bring to mind what he knew of the lizard men to try and mitigate the disadvantage of terrain and numbers.
Leigh moves to the back of the boat, growing bulkier each step. His face, eyes and skin seem to change like they did for the snake but the skin less decorative and more ridged. He drops into the water, it bubbles and boils before he re-emerges as a crocodile. A bump ripples through the boat as it is pushed towards the shore.

As the hostile lizardfolk appear, the child like Tzedaka snaps out of her fixation with the fish.
As if expecting this, “And so it begins.”
Her vibrant blue eyes turn white, glowing light in the darkness as translucent feathered wings materialize on her back. The transformation complete, the angelic silver-haired force takes flight, her resolve clear as she flys 30ft toward the buildings (or as far as she can by adding some height), floating 12 feet above the ground and near as many of the enemies as she can, intent on drawing their fire away from those on the boat.
As she flies, she chants a word in celestial and a floating scale of justice materializes at the nearest lizardfolk. As before, it tips right, then left, as if measuring something. Then starts tipping faster and faster and eventually spinning like a double-spiked flail as the razor-sharp plates accost the nearest lizard man. To hit: Attack: 26 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. Force damage +(5) Radiant damage.

Ian says "Keep rowing (or sailing) ashore. I'll go step over to distract them."
Ian Misty Steps over 30' to the group.
And says " Hello There!".
Two of the Lizardfolk immediately train their crossbows on him and he lays into them, bringing one to its knees on the verge of falling.
Banzo dives for the deck his scales becoming even harder and protective, protected by both shell and boat he will be hard to hit.

He drops into the water, it bubbles and boils before he re-emerges as a crocodile. A bump ripples through the boat as it is pushed some 15' towards the shore.
A furred rat-like humanoid shape slips out of the water on the shore and yells at the Lizardfolk before turning to regard the boat still moving with confusion.

The saurian is ravaged by the attack but does not fall.
Garet aims his crossbow at the Lizardfolk that Ian had attacked dropping it to the ground, then moves to the rear of the boat and draws his sunblade watching for any danger to their crocodilian locomation.
Looking worried at the angel approaching them half the remaining Lizardfolk fire at Tzedaka, the others fire at the boats occupants and one at Ian from point blank range.
Two scools of juvenile Razorfish rise up from the deep and begin circling Leighodile, but do not attack...wary of the large predator.
