Tzedaka: "You are our friend, until you prove otherwise Libb. Your tribe has been manipulated by dark magic. Helping us may help your tribe."
Enwynn nods in silent agreement and coils up the untied rope now that it is no longer required to restrain Libb.
Libb quickly agrees to be their guide but mentions he has only been through the other door once before and doesn't really remember much as he was terrified he was about to be eaten but is sure it will come back to him.
The druidess murmurs sympathetically "I thank you for what you have told us thus far, Libb. Still, you would be amazed how much terror can focus the senses sometimes..." She consoles the goblin "...Even if it's only on finding a way out of the mess one is in at the time, that's still useful to know. I am sorry to have taken you back to a place of fear. If you recall anything else that could help us investigate further, please let us know."
Tzedaka: "In studying dis Brain Slayer, des books, and prayer to motter, I suspect it here to assist Zagor in using inter-dimensional portals. I believe des portals could assist him both in connection with dee Demonic planes but even other worlds. Some of the demons are trapped in ottter planes. Des portal may be able to unleash dem, much as dis strange creature has been brought here."
Enwynn looks somewhat guilty as a trained scholar ignoring a library right in front of her but offers the chilling thought "If they knew what they were doing, that would explain why they conjured an other-world predator of this size then. Something the size of a Razor Wing would never be able to fight in a room this small. We must be wary if a portal like that appears in a larger area."
Banzo: "Should we try the door that Libb doesn't remember what lies beyond it?"
Ennwynn suggests "Give them a moment's grace to recall what besides terror was in there if they can." then shrugs as she adds "The Brain Slayer was still alive when Libb went in there, and he survived the experience. That does not mean that no danger lies within, only that if it does, it was a danger that the Brain Slayer had a means of keeping in check or evading."
(Please remind us, outside of this room, what do we see (doors, passageways, gates, etc.?)
The only way onwards from Shades place was an opposite corridor, there was an iron bound door in the left wall which you entered ( the corridor seemed to continue on) into a short corridor with a goblin and lever then an archway into the library, the only other exit from the library is the door the Brain Slayer entered via.

Libb thinks hard, ".....corridor, joins to old dwarf tunnels...then dead dwarves.....standing....then masters pool....then gold door. I'm not allowed through. Guards wanted to eat me,,,but master forbid...it was in there long time.."
Tzedaka closes her eyes and thinks. She knows a great dragon inhabited this mountain. She knows that King Gillibran Ironhelm III, king of the dwarves at Stonebridge, whom most of the heroes have met, is an ancestor of King Nadarul Kazorian who ruled the Redweed Clan. She knows that Oldoran Zagor attacked Redweed village on Stormsday 5th of Fire, 249AC and took the mountain some 5 years later. (Does Tzedaka recollect anything else about the Dwarves that could be of help now. She prays and reflects)
She pulls out the irritating labyrinth scroll, a mystery still to be unraveled that Libra put on her path: "Libb, do you recognize dis in any way? I tink it is a map of the dwarf tunnels?"
"Do you know the way through the tunnels to the golden door?"
Banzo motions toward the rest of the party.
"Don't worry about the guardians, we'll deal with them."

( Not particularly. They abandoned Firetop in a fair hurry not many records of that time.)
Libb looks at the map, " Could be...most of those have been sealed off or repurposed....the tunnels look different now....but if you break into one of the old sections it might help?"
"What can you tell us about these guardians? How big were they? Do they have weapons? Or fight with tooth and claw?"
Adjusting the pack on his back Banzo shifts his weight to get more comfortable.
"Anything you can remember about them will help us prepare."
Addressing the party, "Remember how well our plan worked with that eclectic group at the entrance to the mountain. With proper planning we should be able to get the drop on theses guardians."

Banzo tries to assure the goblin that his help will not put him in the direct path of anything dangerous.

In an apologetic tone she adds "I'm sorry if you were hoping for more, but at the moment, we're the best bodyguards you have available." while considering what might offer a more physical reminder of personal security.

"Hmm, I wonder why they have swords if they have so many natural weapons?"
Banzo taps his index finger against his chin a couple of times.
"My slow spell might be best used against them. It would limit them to only one attack. And I'll try and scout the area with Zeno before we start fighting, just to get a better idea of the lay-out of the area."

Banzo cracks his knuckles to help loosen his digits more than from any nervous habit he may be developing and when one makes a particularly loud noise he starts a little and begins to look over his shoulder worriedly, trying to inspect his shell.
"Hey! Can someone take a quick look at my back. My shell didn't just crack did it?"

When Banzo looks anxious and cranes his head over his natural shield, she mutters "Back in a moment." to Libb, and swiftly moves over behind the worried tortle to check.
OOC: Medicine to check for any cracks, with particular attention paid to the area Madame Grior sanded back in Chalice, just in case it wasn't knuckles cracking. 5 on the die +6 for 11.

Their new shield is leant up against themselves as they try to math.
Banzo thinks for a moment while Enwynn and Tzedaka check his shell for him. Turning his head to face Libb, "You see us here," gesturing to himself and his two companions, "were there more or less guardians than that?"

" Big, bigger than you. They have hooks and swords....and horns and hooves and sharp teeth and claws..."

( Dungarees....mostly made of patches.)

They sound similar though perhaps larger to the singular Chaos Beast Folk you fought outside.
