As Banzo looks into his crystal ball, the cloudy image clears. Tzedaka is at the river, where they encountered the lizardmen. As the image sharpens, Tzedaka looks strange to him. She does not wear armor, carries no weapons or shield. She is wearing white robes, and seems to be heading back toward the heroes. Her face and hair look different, and there is a bright glow emanating from her.
"She went all the way back to the river we crossed. Now she's heading back our way, but she looks different, she's not in armor but wearing white and... and glowing."
Banzo will put away the crystal ball after the 10 minutes of scrying have elapsed.
"She's changed!"

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”

Ennwyn looks relieved then puzzled but shrugs as she offers "Everything in Nature is capable of change. Why would Tzedaka be any different in that respect?"
She murmurs in a confident tone, as if in assurance to herself "That's one more river crossed..." then abruptly stretches and asks "Who stays here to protect the freed but not yet recovered people? Somehow we must get them to a place of greater safety, but I do not know how many of them are capable of travel yet."
"Someone's coming this way, lots of voices, how do you want to handle this?"
Banzo will check with his companions to see if they want to confront whoever it is or not.
"Do you want to avoid them?"

Ennwynn suggests with a wicked gleam in her lime hued eyes "If they're part of the Big Z's organization, they may or may not be pleased to find us here. However, as current management of Firetop's diverse enterprises, perhaps we should inform them of the changes being made by Hireling Resources in terms and conditions?"
The elf draws herself up in an uncharacteristically administrative manner and offers "I'm afraid we'll have to dispense with their services if they consider demon worshipping a non-negotiable workplace practice though. That would be legal grounds for instant termination under current contractual obligations."
She adds quietly "In short, act like we own the place, are inspecting it for non-essential minions to cut from the paylist and see if we can brazen it out?"
Tzedaka manages to dampen her light enough to not be noticed by the red-hued skeletons though some of the bony countenances do seem to swivel in her direction for a moment as they pass.....
She heads back paying the toll for the Dwarven Graves.....eventually she comes to the golden door.....ahead she hears voices....

uh uh...it seems our friend Tzedaka is not the only that changed...anyway, let's just hope they don't mutiny
The voices carried ahead as the companions waited, managerially, in the preparation chamber surrounded by the bodies of dead priests and surgeons....
" Now, Norm. As I was saying.....if the Old Man is carked it then that creates what we could term an 'opportunity for advancement'......as I was remarking earlier.....I believe I have the makings of an excellent sommelier......and yourself? Norm the Sous Chef! Now.....don't be modest.....your Rock Grub bisque is quite the experience, not to mention the sensual tones your Razorfish Risotto has as it greets the palate..."
" Could be, Could be......you've a decent head for thinking, Clem."
" That I do. Now, best faces on. Want to make a good impression...."
Two large Trolls dressed in leather vests and kilts came into view.......
Garet and Tannin spot Tzedaka, or at least they think it is her outside of the chamber. Her clothing is indeed white and a sort of light seems to emanate from her. She is clearly trying to not interfere with the trolls.
As Herman greets the equally large trollish gentlemen, Enwynn performs a scribe's sleight of hand in swiftly producing a notebook and a stick of willow charcoal wrapped in oak leaves, one end whittled to a fine point.
She writes down both names on a new leaf of her black leather bound tome then asks the hopeful-looking pair "Master Clem and Master Norm? Excellent, delighted to meet you both. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have regarding the new staffing arrangements..."
The elf carefully steps past a fresh puddle of violently rearranged anatomy, smiling pleasantly as she adds "Sorry about the mess, housekeeping are rather busy at the moment. I do hope neither of you will feel put out if we request some further details of your respective cellarly and culinary talents?"
Banzo steps up to stand beside Enwynn in an imposing manner much like a bodyguard would, "State your qualifications first and then your requests for salary and any holidays you may want off!"
After a brief pause, "And be quick about it there are many more interviews and business to be about today!"

" I've got a gift for wine on account of my enourmous hooter and discerning palate. Or at least I'm told so."
" Salary? Uh, Room and Board and a gold a week was standard previously....whats a holiday?"
Norm remained silent seemingly randomly nodding and gesturing at what may or may not have been the correct junctures.

"She's changed!"
Tzedaka will advance back toward the group as quickly as she can. (She will deposit a coin if she gets to the dwarven hall).
Changed?
Herman wonders in his thoughs... he does not expect her to be more beautiful, that would be difficult already, but...who knows?! maybe less lunatic?!

The group began to hear voices approaching, loud and arguing but in a somewhat jovial manner....
As Tzedaka made her way back she again needed to hide herself away from the trooping red dyed skeletons as they patrolled.....
(stealth of 10)

Two large Trolls dressed in leather vests and kilts came into view.......
Herman looks at the fearsome trolls but decides to play it well:
welcome, sir trolls, please welcome the heroes of Chalice (that would be us) and the keep of the mountain, Enwyn of the forest.
I overheard you were talking about cooking?!?
Garet and Tannin spot Tzedaka, or at least they think it is her outside of the chamber. Her clothing is indeed white and a sort of light seems to emanate from her. She is clearly trying to not interfere with the trolls.

Tannin watches with a raised scaly eyebrow, with interest.

The two trolls followed his line of sight and bowed to Ennwyn....Norm seemed to hesitate somewhere between a bow and a curtsey...
" That would be Norm here, quite the gourmand....is my dear friend. Humble though...to a fault.", Clem ventured.
