"Whatever this is or whoever it belongs to now doesn't concern me as much as the effort taken to hide and guard it."
Banzo will flick his dagger, while still holding it tightly, in a direction away from everyone to get most of the clay off of it. And then utilize the very same dagger to pry open the lid.
"I want to know what secret lies hidden within."

"I want to know what secret lies hidden within."
Prying open the lid is more difficult than expected but when Banzo finally gets it to shift it is instead the front of the chest that falls open dropping pieces of dried clay all over the place.
Within are two impressively made suits of armour seemingly undamaged by their prolonged time with in the wall.
Plate Armour- Blue-black polished steel with a stylized white tower on the chest.
If magically inspected-
+1 Full Plate which gives the wearer immunity to Disease.
Maille Armour- Pearlescent White Chainmail which smells vaguely of citrus.
Tzedaka inspects the two suits of armor. (Does she recognize either the white tower symbol or the probable home of the elven chain mail (eg. worn by elves in the darkwood forest or one of the other primary elven locations?)

The elven armour has no marks, sigils or otherwise and the style is unknown to Tzedaka......the white tower, at least to her, resembles the Black Tower of Craggen Rock.....though obviously the colour is the inverse.
Tzedaka frowns. "Dee memories I chav of dee Black Tower are a bit foggy but some of you chav cheard mention of it before. You chad cheard dat Throg, a black-hearted mage and vealan chat used it as a base. Wandering brigands wandered in dee area. And, it is near Chalice."
(OOC: Tzedaka was not present when the party encountered information about the black tower, yet, still has information as if she was there.)
"I suspect it is now dee place of the necromancer."
Banzo will search his arcane knowledge for what he might know of Throg, necromancers, and any associations either may of had with the nearby brigands.
Arcana: 19 (rolled in game log, 12+7=19)
"We should go there first, I wouldn't enjoy my visit to Chalice knowing he's practicing the dark arts so close."

Tzedaka's eyes grow distant for a moment. "Den der is dee name Kull." She thinks for a moment, "At about dee same time as the tower was mentioned, dis name came up in my memory of Eenwyn's thoughts."
(She says this next part, but sounds like Enwynn when she talks)
"We descend from the uplands that stretches for many miles to the east of Darkwood Forest and to the north of Trolltooth Pass. Hidden somewhere within these lonely hills about a day’s ride northeast from where the Silver River flows out on to the Windward Plain towards Chalice is the fabled Lost Lake. For a century the skeleton of Kull sailed a raft on this lake, clutching the necromancer Razaak’s sword, awaiting release from his curse but Razaak is now destroyed or so the tavern rumours go. Dead or not, Razaak’s lair is also hidden somewhere in the southeast of the Moonstone Hills, about a day’s journey from the Flatlands."
Banzos mind harks back to the Hill Goblins they had subdued in the Moonstone Hills many months ago when prompted by Shalanas statement in Ennwyns voice.
He doesn't believe that there is any real connection between Razaak and The Black Tower....let alone Throg....he does recall the Hill Goblin Captain saying that they used to be employed there but no longer were.
"Other than rumors I don't ever remember hearing anything tying Razaak to The Black Tower... or Throg for that matter."
Banzo looks around the cave once more, "I'm not even sure this cave is the necromancers."

"Something happened to change things, and who knows maybe the necromancer did take up residence in the Black Tower?"

Herman takes first watch, Banzo second and Tzedaka third. The night passes uneventfully with only the screams of foxes and the shrilling of bats to break the silence.
Rising in the morning you see a plume of smoke rising over one of the hills to the north.....

(Would Tzedaka then know of who built or inhabits the black tower?)
( See previous posts.)

“Den perchaps it is time to move on.” The angelic women mutters to herself.
( Leaving armour or taking?)
Take both suits of armor.

The companions left the cave and considered their next stage of travel or finding somewhere to camp as the night grew darker.....
“Let us camp for dee night. Den explore de tower for ourselves.”
Tzedaka will examine the suits of armor and give them to Banzo for magical determination
Banzo will ritual cast Detect Magic over the next ten minutes as they talk and make camp for the night.

(Tzedaka can see in the dark so second or third watch. )
