"Whoever that was - they were not natural!" Declared Lindale now fully herself - shaken, but unhurt. "I did not have a chance to investigate any further. I'm afraid, we continue in blind." She was still willing to scout ahead, though.
Rufus staggers to his feet as the sorcerous chains faded with the death of the demons. Rufus looks on in distaste as the corporeal remains dissolve the stone marking where the demons demise took place.
"Well, we know what has been killing folks and burning them all up aside from the metal bits. But this fight was too easy I think to account for all the signs of death we saw outside. I fear there will be more of them ahead. Who all needs healing before we continue?"
"I am ok." Brocc says with a glance to the others. "I can keep watch while healing is done if that is needed." He offers, moving his spider mount to keep watch of the tunnel ahead.
From somewhere deeper ahead Brocc can make out further noises; one is like running water but the sound is...wrong. And another is a sussurating whisper that seems to fade in and out....its hard to determine how far ahead they may be.
"Seems like we are ready to move on then." Brocc says as the group prepares to get going again. He takes up his position in the middle once more, ready to support the others.
"Do you hear those noises.." He says, calling attention to the sounds he just heard. "Those seem... off... Best watch our step."

"Banzo... If there is someone ahead, that light makes you a target. Not that I can suggest anything better." May be she should not tell it then. Contemplating her behavior, Lindale slipped past the crowd and a bit far ahead. She did not have the advantage of her animal shapes now, but hoped to be light enough on feet to make up for it.
( Looking at your sheets both Hatch and Brocc are badly injured?)
Moving forward the group slowly made their way into the cliffside before coming to a set of stairs leading downwards. The air was becoming increasingly acrid and though not painful, it was decidely unpleasant.
At the entrance to the stairwell there are carvings on the walls written in strange script.
Anyone who reads Abyssal or Infernal:
Here is sealed Oc-nuthla one of the least Lords of Gond. Beware all who release him.
Arcana or Religion Check ( Diff. 18):
Gond is a bizarre area on the Plane of Bile that is dominated by weird globular hive-cities of alien architectural design. Each city is ruled by a Lord of Gond; a horrific entity of sanity-destroying appearance. Lesser examples of Lords of Gond include entities such as the Maijem-Nosoth and the Quag-Shugguth.
“This reminds me of something I read about once...” Brocc says as he looks over the strange runes. “A place called Gond... Definitely not a good thing that place...”

(When did that happen?! I though Lindale was the only one hit. )
Before the group continued their tunnel exploration, Lindale waved her hand and a milk-white transparent silhouette of a deer appeared near Brocc. Soft light felt soothing and calming, bringing hope, healing mind and body (healing for 4 + 1). One more word, and the magical beast graciously jumped to Hatch (healing for 2 + 3)
The script was a mystery (an ugly looking one) to the druid, but should Hatch translate the wrings, Lindale would try to remember, why the name sounds familiar? Religion 15
((If Brocc was indeed fine but Hatch not - he gets all healing. ))
"I remember too - it is a plane with hive-like cities. Lord of Gond is the title of the ruler, that looks so horrifying, it can shatter one's sanity. Not something I dream of facing to."

Sorry, haven't checked it in a while, I should only have 3 HP missing from the rock collapse and no other damage.

Hatch does indeed translate the script. And thanks you for the healing.
The companions head down the stairs at full strength once more emerging at the bottom into a roughly carved tunnel ahead there was a strange greenish light ahead lighting up a large chamber. The sound of running 'water' was louder here and there was a soft sound like thousands of whispers....
"Anyone else afraid there's a literal river of acid down here?" Hatch asked, stating the obvious question. He kept his ask steady and tried to watch his step.
