Oc-Nuthlas mouths began screaming in high reedy voices that got higher and higher in pitch until they were so high that they could no longer be heard......but the companions minds began to experience intense pain.

Banzos light darts thudded into the screaming form, as Rufus' thunder-ball also smashed into it.
Broccs axe hit as well, as Hatchs tumbled past and clattered against the wall.
Oc-Nuthla sagged in the air appearing to deflate slightly, it hung there angry and twitching for a few moments then suddenly expanded rapidly and exploded with a loud tearing sound. The entire cavern was instantly filled with a choking cloud of green-blue caustic gas which rapidly reacted away to nothing.....

Suddenly the only sound in the cavern was the falling acid from the rent in the air...
Hatch got his Second Wind after the fight, recovering 11 health.
"What in all the hells was that thing exactly?" Hatch asked as he recovered his two handaxes. "That was insane, literally."
Hatch searches around for anything that sticks out now that Oc-Nuthla was destroyed.
Investigation 15
"Look around, cast Detect Magic, help. Things like that don't just appear usually. I want to make sure we destroy any altar, spell book, or other doodad that might've helped summon that thing," he said as he searched around with his axe held tightly ready to break anything even hinting of the foul beast.
Rufus trembles as his ears begin to bleed at the psychic shrill of the demon. He strives to remain coherent through the pain. As the demon's physical form dissipates and releases a cloud of acid, Rufus attempts to roll out of the cloud; but stumbles due to exhaustion. The acid is too much and the weakened halfling stumbles to the ground unconscious <21pts of damage, only 17 hps>
Hatch brings Lindale back from the edge of death and Rufus is stabilsed/healed, investigations by the group reveal little else in the vault.
Banzos spell revealed the large stone coffer in the centre of the room was mildly magical...perhaps an echo of a stronger enchantment that had once been laid here. The rift in the air was bright and strongly magical though it seemed to be slowly fading now and the stream of bile and phlegm was lessening.
Peering into the coffer there was strange mirrored sheen to the inside of it, the stream of acidic liquids was simply pouring into the mirrored bottom of the sarcophagus and vanishing...something told them not to touch the mirrored surfaces.
There was a similar mirror on the underside of the broken lid but when it had shattered it had turned a smoky black colour and lay in shattered shards about the place. ( To Banzos spell the shards glowed softly of magic.)

Rufus awakens with a flutter of his eyelids. His gaze is filled with Lindale leaning over him with concern in her eyes. He smiles up at her and groans as he sits up and his brain protests the movement.
During the break Hatch uses Divine Sense, just to make sure nothing else is wrong nearby.

I mean, I hate to say this but getting dissolved suddenly by acid would be pretty quiet if it got you quick by surprise," Hatch said, reasoning it out. "Think we should head back now, or want to see if there's anything else hiding in this cave?"

Lindale tried to fight the attack and even though that she succeeded, but splash of the acid got her and the girl collapsed on the ground.
