As everyone steps out into the cold, Brocc turns to them, "My thinkin' is Tulgi's house first. Dat way we can ask questions an' maybe get a better idea of what ta search for in Urgon's place. What does everyone else t'ink?"
Brocc will quickly head back in to make sure all the meals have been paid for and to make one last check that he hasn't left anything behind. As they trudge through the cold to their destination, Brocc turns to Sorlech. "Ya mentioned earlier that ya'd grown up round here, but ya've not been here fer a bit. Do ya mind me askin' why ya left?"
Sorlech listens to Brocc intently. "Why I left? Uhhhhh... I'd rather not talk about it. It's too personal and someone might take it the wrong way." Sorlech also says, "I think we should be going to Tulgi's place first."

Characters: Borin, mountain dwarf cleric (knowledge) (inactive) Varis Ilphelkiir, high elf bard (swords) (inactive) Reckoner, warforged fighter (eldritch knight) (inactive) Archduke Gerald, half-orc warlock (pact of the fire elemental) (inactive) Kurak of Yini Chai, changeling sorcerer (blue draconic bloodline) (active)
"Fair enough," Brocc says in reply to Sorlech and looks around the small village, "Towns do tend ta have ears everywhere. Will dis leavin' da village be causin' any troubles on our travels? I mean, if ye got some bad debts or old enemies I'd appreciate da heads up. I'm happy ta have ye back, just need ta know what dat back be holdin'."
(Sorry, I don't understand that statement. Have we arrived at Tulgi's house? Is the door open as we get there or are you saying we're inside already? Brocc & Sorlech were talking as they walked to the house - well, I thought that was how that was playing out.)
(Whoops, misinterpreted. I for some reason thought you were still at Elro’s house. In that case, as you’re walking towards Tulgi’s house, you notice it’s a small shack with boarded-up windows and a clearly locked door.)
Brocc makes his way up to the house and tries to see through the boards on the windows (Can he see anything through the boards?). He'll then knock loudly on the door and call out, "Hello dere Tulgi. Elro sent us up ta check on how yer going. My name is Brocc, a cleric, an' I'd love ta see if I could help ya feel better."
Brocc turns to the group and talks quietly, "Perhaps we can convince him some other way to get in there. This Tulgi seems desperate to die, maybe we offer to ease his passing into death in exchange for some information?" Brocc looks back at the door, lets out a sigh, then turns back to the group, "After all, we may not find a cure quickly, and I'd rather not see him needlessly suffer. Alternatively, I can try to command him to open the door?"
(OOC - I don't have anything that will really ease his suffering, other than some healing spells, but they probably won't lift a magical disease. However, I may be able to ritually cast Identify to see if I can detail what is afflicting him? Though now I check, I don't have the required materials. Another idea is to Thaumaturgy the sound of snakes or rats etc, inside the house to try and flush him out? Any other ideas?)
(DM question - is there anywhere that we can see into the this house to catch sight of Tulgi? If I can see him, I'm thinking of casting Command on him, and tell him "Open" in order for us to get inside.)
(You can use identify to touch a creature & work out what spells are affecting it - it’s towards the bottom of the spell description. But I don’t have materials anyways.)

Hinry shrugs. Sounds like a plan to me. Lead on, I shall follow wherever.

I am quite certain the weather played an important factor Hinry says, glaring irritably at the snow.

(Apologies for the radio silence for the last few days, long weekend+my birthday immediately after tired me out.)
As you’re conversing, the wind howls outside, whipping up snow that flies into the house.
