When the bartender returns, Shei will turn towards him, with an apologetic look on his face. “I would like to apologize for my brother’s intrusion. A while back we were betrayed by some people we thought were allies, but they actually lured us into an ambush by some rather nasty bandits. We managed to survive, but ever since then Al’s been a little paranoid around people. I thought he’d stopped reading people’s thoughts but apparently not.”
The bartender gives a shrug as a couple of the patrons sitting close to Shei glance over as well. "Guess no harm done." The bartender replies as he fills Shei's mug. He glances to Alhorn. "You drinking?"
The man next to Shie, a villager, looks to Shei. "So what brings you to our little speck of nowhere?" He asks.

As you sit in your dome-shaped hide-away in the forest, you would notice that wagons are moving from the town to the castle. These wagons are pulled up a ramp to the castle's huge gate, over a long drawbridge, that crosses a moat, and then into the castle's main entrance. You would suspect that, with the large area of the dome not being easy to hide, you might be spotted eventually as those wagons continue to move between village and castle. The groups of wagons are spaced out though, so it is a good while between groups of wagons, how long that is is unknown by you at this point, as you have only been in this position for a few minutes at this point. You did not see any as you moved to your current location, and are just now seeing a group of wagons as they move towards the castle.
Ulric watches the wagons pass "I am concerned someone will eventually look our way. We may not need to hide, but we will be questioned why we delayed entering given our cover story if it's realized. It might be best to circle back around and collect our companions than wait too long."
(Want to be sure I understand. The group in the forest is going to now return to the tavern to get Shei and Alhorn? Alhorn and Shei, what are you doing now, see my last post...)
As the next wagon group moves past the group leaves the forest following Ulric heading to the tavern.
Ulric glances at the group, " We won't know what progress Alhorn & Shei will have made. We may want to pop in and ask the tavern owner for something, perhaps some supplies. We can go where he directs us and Alhorn and Shei can follow as they are able."

I started with one plan, shei kinda countered that, so I went harder on the detect thoughts and failed. Shei seems to have a different idea from what I was going to go with, so I'm letting them take the lead if they didn't like where I was taking it.
I thought we were going with the traveling siblings cover, sorry about that. If you don’t mind me taking point on conversation that’d be nice since I have the Actor feat on Shei which hopefully will give me advantage on any Deception and Performance checks I have to make to maintain our cover. RP post should be coming soon from me
(Waiting on Shei. It is likely a good 20 minutes, maybe even 30 minutes, before the rest of the group would arrive, so Shei and Alhorn have a bit more time inside the tavern before the rest of you arrive.)
Those outside of the tavern though, give me a perception check as you move from your forest cover and into town. We'll see what you notice...
"We're just wandering travelers, trying to find our way in life currently. The life of a merchant didn't fit either of us, and with our older brother getting married and taking over the shop, we didn't have anything needing us to stay in Baldur's Gate. Anivar here is a trained bard, so he offered to teach me a thing or two on the road." He gestures towards Alhorn as he speaks with his drink, then drinks some of whatever his mug was filled with. "As for why we're here, as I mentioned earlier, my brother loves architecture, so as soon as he saw it above the treeline he insisted we head this direction. I agreed because I wanted to check it out myself to be honest. This seems like it'd be a fairly difficult place to build a castle." Shei is going to go back to drinking after that.
Ulric notices a man leave the town and head off towards the castle at a run. It is just as you are entering town, but clear the man's actions are not in relation to you, as you have not met anyone inside of town as of yet.
Shei and Alhorn
The villagers continue to ask you questions about your travels, your singing, and other normal topics of interest. When Shie mentions Alhorn is a bard, they ask for Alhorn to perform for them. The tavern bartender would refill drinks, charging you for them each time, whenever you asked for a refill. It is good mead, ale, or whatever you were asking for, likely the best this small village has to offer.

About ten minutes later the rest of you arrive at the tavern. You come in to Alhorn and Shie in the tavern. Alhorn can decide if he is performing currently or not.

Alhorn does his best to appear paranoid and suspicious, checking behind him often and pacing a lot

"Works for me and to be honest I am surprised we have not been discovered yet." Naroth says.
Germain nods, and finishes working on his poison and his gauntlet adjustments before heading out with the others.

"Sounds like a good plan. I could use a drink." Naroth says.
Ulric nods, "That might be the simplest approach. Lets get a drink and try to listen if our companions have any success."

Germain nods to Ulric and follows behind, keeping a careful eye on their surroundings.

Alhorn is indeed performing, but he's not so much a monster sort of bard as much as poetry driven. Right now, he's into snap poetry
