"And he has piqued mine. Where did you find him? Or did he find you? Did you summon him? Also, please don't call me sir, just Dari please." Dari says, holding his hand out for the owl to inspect.
At Erik's arrival, Invaih gives him an initial nod. His sharp silver eyes then take a quick glance around the Amber Frog, looking for anyone who might be glancing suspiciously their way -- ignoring the expected obvious stares -- all the while listening to the conversation distractedly. After he was satisfied no one of malicious intent was lurking about, his focus returned to the newcomer, at the same time Artin presents him.
"Yes, Invaih Crezhm'hut, a pleasure." Like Iradari, he extends a leather-gloved hand, a custom he had become familiar with during his travels. "Just Invaih is fine. I hope you won't take offense that I decline the drink. We are taking but a short respite and I wish to remain alert while my friends here indulge." A grin spreads across his ebony features. "A friend's friend is a friend of mine, so the humans say. I would use a drow proverb, but the closest we have back home is 'an ally's ally is the dagger in your back'... Hence why I am here today."
(Assuming Erik decides to join the party on thier escapades)
Dari, recalling the information Boo gave him before she left, leads you through a faint trail behind the mansion the Tarrenclaws previously resided in. You hear voices chanting in unison on the other side of a literal wall of trees, with only a few peepholes in between, but you can't see much, there is one large enterance to the east.
(What's your game plan?)

"The hero sought to save the world.
"If I keep trying, I'll be able to win," the hero thought.
But the harder the hero fought, the further the world seemed to tumble away.
Drowning in doubt, the hero could not even save themselves.
Hero, if you still believe in a brighter future, hold in your heart a thorn that can pierce all doubt."

Arin, in a quiet voice, says to the party. "We should quietly see if we can find out what's out there". Artin casts Guidance on himself, then tries to sneak into the trees to look.
Staying close to the trees, you quickly and quietly slink twoards the enterance of the site. Inside you spot four darkly dressed men, similar to what Boo described to you, all four of them stand around a circular altar, with thier arms raised, a black orb of energy floating energy raised between them. Another one stands in the back, observing the ritual.

Invaih will slink along to the west side, and take cover (hide) between the trees, Crescent (unlit) and dagger drawn and ready to cast Faerie Fire at the figures around the orb if someone acts rashly.
Weapons were drawn, bonus hide action, ready action. Initiative: 7
Stealth: 10
OOC: Can't access Roll20 right now, assuming the figures are bunched up enough that I can get at least the ones around the orb.
Invaih would have much liked to eavesdrop a little longer, but wouldn't be able to convey such intricate a message to his companions... They didn't know the drow's hand codes, aside perhaps from Erik, and verbal thieves' cant would be too loud if any spoke it. Resigned, he casts Faerie Fire on the whole group of hooded figures, lining them in flames flickering purple and blue.
Faerie Fire Save DC: 13 ((OOC: Doing this on my surprise turn initiative unless DM decides Zegria acted rashly, in which case it might count as a readied action, to the DM's discretion))

Artin moves up right next to the easternmost cultist, casting Spirit Guardians, bringing a flock of spectral ducks into existence. The ducks begin to quack and interfere with the cultists, but leave the party members alone. Damage 9 on start of turn for enemies in the area (Wis 14 save for half). He then summons a floating hammer, that strikes the lead (?) cultist, the one hanging back away from the others.
Bonus: spiritual weapon23 (assuming advantage from faerie fire, if not, just use the 1st roll) for 10 damage.
(In combat, you do not have to post your turn when I say it's your turn, at the beginning of each round, everyone posts thier actions, and I will make one big post describing the events. If your plan of action should change, I will tell you to post again.)
Dari: Roots burst forth from the ground, grasping the legs of all of the cultist, catching all of them unaware.
Invah: All five of the cultists begin to glow, exposing weak spots in their defenses.
Artin: Spiritual ducks begin flying around you, quacking and nibbling at the cultists with their harmless looking beaks. A glowing hammer appears in front of the lead cultist and strikes it hard, dealing a hard blow.
Erik: You fire two beams of eldritch energy at the lead cultist, he falls instantly. As you shoot the fireball at the four chanting cultists, they have no time to react, and are incinerated.
As the explosion collides with the orb of dark energy, it explodes, the fire consumed by black magic. The energy proceeds to spread along the floor, and before you can react, dark tendrils rise up and grasp your limbs. As the tendrils seize you, a startled cry comes from behind you. You see a young human man, also restrained by the tendrils. You all feel a consciousness in your mind and are unable to push it out, it begins to speak, a low, smooth voice, and so loud you are unable to even hear your own thoughts. "HMM... I EXPECTED MORE.", the voice echoes through your mind, "YOU MAY HAVE STOPPED ME THIS ONCE, THE BLOOD IS GROWING, THE BLOOD IS CONSUMING... IT HUNGERS. THE BLOOD CAN NOT BE STOPPED!"
The voice leaves your mind, the dark energy, as quickly as it arrives, seems to drain up towards the altar, disappearing from sight.
Erik held his head for a moment, and Archimedes perched on his staff again. His head felt like it was splitting open.
"Well...that was unexpected..." He said softly to the others. They had fought well together, their instincts seemed to mesh quite well, even without words they had dealt a coordinated attack. This group was definitely something special.
The man pales, "Dee- Uuh... Gah!" He says, throwing his hands up into the air, revealing a concealed dagger, "It was me, I did it!" he cries, then covering his face with his hands.
