Ithelion nods at Garnets comment, "If we have trouble, we shall return for you" she says. Then she moves to take up position next to Krom, following Daemyar.
Krom snorts, "It looks like we got more rats and some humans, or close to human, that came through here." He looks at Meepo, "What if yer dragon doesn't want to go back and it decides it wants to eat some fresh meat, eh? From the looks of ye, it already tried a few samples."
Meepo looks down at his scars, including a deep one that is just scarring over. "Oh these? Dragon funny, she do funny things. One time, Meepo sing to her! She liked it so much she try to sing too. But, just cold white stuff come out by accident. She get excited! I jump out of way and only butt get hurt. And she so strong but Meepo strong too!"
He looks to Ithelion, "Okay, Meepo go and wait. Be careful! Lot's of strange things from on, old things. That what Meepo's dad once say. Good luck hoomans!"
Meepo walks away, looking back wistfully. Ahead of you in another wooden door.
Daemyar opens the door - it's not quite level and it catches on the floor. After a second or two, you realize nothing is coming out to kill you. Dust and odd bits of stony debris and rubble lie scattered on the floor. An ornate fountain is built into the eastern wall. Though cracked and stained, the fountain's overarching carving of a diving dragon retains its beauty. A thin layer of scum coats the basin itself, but it is otherwise dry. Scattered here and there are empty glass vials. A relief-carved stone door stands on the western wall. To the north, a passageway looks like it continues.
Krom, you notice what looks like a faded inscription on the front of the fountain's base. You don't know what it says, it is a language unfamiliar to you.
Ithelion looks where Krom is pointing and, with a well-practiced (Mage-) hand, brushes the dust and cob-webs away, frowning at the writing, "Let me see..." she says.
(( if she can read it, she will translate for all to hear ))
@ithelion - Your interest is piqued as Krom notices the inscriptions, which have all but worn away. You wipe away some of the dust and it becomes more clear: it's clearly Draconic and you can read it. It says, "Let there be fire." As you read the phrase aloud, the eyes of the dragon that decorate this fountain light up and a low, steady, rumbling sound is heard. Some eldritch magic has been activated! Krom and Ithelion, you notice a slow dribble of reddish liquid coming from the open maw of the carved dragon; it becomes a steady stream and it slowly accumulates in the basin. But as quick as it is started, it is over. There is a small amount pooled in the bottom of the basin. The eyes of the dragon extinguish and you get the sense that it's last magic has been spent.
[for any who would like to, make an Intelligence/Arcana roll]
Ithelion pulls out his sheets of paper and begins to collate them, adding a few lines here and shading a bit there. From what he has so far, here is your present map of the citadel. You are all at the room on the right side, close to the middle. You can see the fountain:
@ithelion - you run a few tests with the substance and think about how the liquid and the basin are connected. It takes you some time but eventually you see that the phrase you spoke is obviously an activation phrase. And the meaning itself is a clue to what you have received. "Let there be fire" fortunately means that the liquid could be collected and used as the phrase suggests. Sniffing the liquid, you think you recognize a cinnamon scent; small orange flickers are present in the liquid, and some smoke gathers over it, though no heat is present.
As you are looking around for clues, you again spot a few glass vials around...You think you could collect it in a vial if you tried.
Ithelion smiles, "This might be useful" she says, as she picks up a vial and tries to hurriedly collect the fluid before it evaporates. "Swallow this, and you can breathe fire!" she adds.

Daemyar will scoop up a couple of the empty vials, give them a sniff and move on to the next door, waiting for the others before continuing

Krom looks over at Ithelion, "Do ye understand these writings?" and will shows her the faded inscription.
Be excellent to each other, and roll for initiative dudes!

She gathers another vial and repeats the words, just to be sure the magic is gone.

I don’t suppose Daemyar could get there and collect it once it starts pouring out? He grabbed a couple vials

(( Happy that it was collected by daeyar ))
As the fluid starts to flow, having noticed Daemyar was holding a vial, Ithelion says, "Quick, Daemyar...that bottle...gather what you can."
Daemyar looks back and rushes to collect the single vial’s worth.
”Umm... you take it. We are allies, yes? This is -not- a token of fealty.” He narrows his eyes and looms a bit taller over you, Ithelion.

Ithelion looks a little confused, but recovers quickly, "Allies. Yes...Allies. It would be my honour."
She takes the vial, a little uncertain if her response was appropriate.
Cool. Friendsies!
the map is at post #1308. There is a hallway that continues to the north and an ornate door to the west.
