Garnet and Ithelion discuss what it might be but don't come to any solid conclusions.
Krom, you know that, in your own land, it was not uncommon for extra large animals to exist - animals that defy nature. From what you've seen so far, this seems accurate: giant centipedes, giant rats, giant spiders..... And as giant as these creatures are, the possibility remains that there are even larger versions, given an adequate food source and space, and lack of competition... But what specifically it is, you can't say for sure...
"I ain't knowin' what is behind that door, but back home we have the term COUS. I bet ye a silver that is one or more of them." Krom says eyeing the door.

“Back to the cold door. If it won’t open, then we go further back.”
Assuming no one’s opposed to that, Daemyar will lead the way to the cold door and try to unlock it. Everyone should stand around a corner from the door.
Ok. There is no discernable lock on this door. If you put your hand on it, it's icy cold to the touch. Let me give you a reminder:
The air gets noticeably colder as you approach - frigid, even - enough to make your breath visible. If you touch the door, you note that it is icy cold. The door has carved depictions of skeletal dragons entwined with each other. You don't notice any traps on the door but both of you can see an inscription on the door. Daemyar, you are not aware of what it is but Ithelion, you can read this. It is also written in Draconic. It says, "Rebuke the dead, open the way."
Krom scratches his beard at the phrase, "Well, if it means what I think it means. I can't open the door right now, I'm a wee bit taped out of divine power to be rebuking any dead." He shrugs, "If ye all want to rest here I could open it in a hour or so."

Krom, making sure to check the tracks coming from the second fountain room you notice something peculiar: you can track 3 people going up towards the cells and beyond, but only note 2 sets of footprints coming back down. In front of the “cold door” you can see foot prints but no indication they entered the room beyond. When you look further back the way you came originally, you see the same two sets headed south. Additionally (when you look closely) you notice here and there, bigger than normal rat tracks and droppings.
Krom makes a clicking sound as he looks at the tracks and droppings, "Darn, there are ROUSs down here. I was hopin' that wasn't the case. Not to mention we be needin' in that room. If ye don't know what and ROUS is, it be a rodent of unusual size and this is a biggen."

"That was 'fore I looked closer at the tracks." Krom the shows the tracks of the overly sized rats and the three humanoids walking in and the two walking out.

"Ah...I see...so the body of one of those we seek may be up there....". She nods, "So...block the narrow path, open the door...and...pray?" she says with a smile.

Garnet speaks up after some time in silence. "Unfortunately, the door seems to be the direction we need to go if we want to find those kids. "
Garnet listens a moment to see if she can identify the sounds.
Nature5 (lol )
(Maybe we can do what you were thinking Ithelion and reset the trap before opening the door?)
Krom coughs, "Ye know we past two other doors on our way here. The skull door and one right before the cells."

Ithelion reads the words again to the group, then turns to Krom. "This seems to be in your area of expertise..."
