You all retire to your rooms, content in the knowledge that you are fully stocked and prepared for your next foray into the ruins. [Long rest].
Daemyar, the room you're staying in - you hear a knock on the door and when you open it, Garon is there with a package for you. "Ah, this came for you this morning," he says as he hands you the package, "along with this,"and hands you a note. The note, when unfurled, is written in a runic script that you can't read. Your eyes are drawn instead to the other thing he handed you: it's obviously armor and you recognize enough from the texture and colour to know that the material is chitin. It is a dark brown and yellow, hard to the touch but pliable enough to bend it with your hands. It includes a chest piece, pauldrons, tassets, and greaves. They don't fully cover your limbs and are segmented in areas but certainly will help more than no armor at all. The weight is incredibly light and you feel like you could move normally - if not faster - in this armor!
Letter - if you show it to someone who knows Dwarvish, the letter reads:
I'm not one to make the same mistake again. May it help you destroy the rot down in that hole. ~ R.L.
Okay, just mark down the gear you have bought and minus any monies (or if Ithelion has the money, tell her).
You all come down to the common area to see Garon and his workers cleaning up. There are a few other patrons at tables talking to themselves, eating breakfast stew and bread. Garon greets you, "Morning to ye all. I had Korling prepare a few packs of food for your journey,"he gestures to a few packs on the bar. "It's not much, a course - bread, cheese, hard tack, some dried meat - but it'll do in a pinch."He gives you a wink and goes about wiping off a table. "Korling can take yer skins an' fill 'em too, if ye like." He whistles and Korling comes running over.. [5 rations total and a flask of wine].
Prepared, you make your way over to the Mayor's house/Village Hall. Vernor Lung and Jorik are on the patio outside: Vernor smoking a pipe with his hand is his pocket and Jorik standing slightly behind and to the side. When he sees you, Lung smiles widely, "Ahh, the brave adventurers - the Heroes of Oakhurst! A fine morning to you - the gods must smile on you!" He gestures to the rising sun and clear skies - it IS a beautiful morning, which bodes well for your travel. Lung steps slowly down the stairs, the mink fringes of his cloak brushing the ground. He is taller than you thought - about the same height as Garnet, though not nearly as muscled. He moves a bit closer, Jorik just behind. "Ah, I see you have met a new friend! Even better! I am sure you must have related my terms to him as well?" Vernor nods towards Shere. "I am told my my employees that you strum a good tune, Sir Shere. Too bad about the druid though. I do say I hope he fared well - he left quite quickly last evening... Anyways, well met, bard." Looking back to you all, he adds, "And ah, about those terms: have you given any thought to my proposition? We could do a lot of good: people who languish in disease or infirmity, who waste away under unknown illnesses - these can all be cured. The money gained can be used to improve Oakhurst, to make her a beacon of trade and hope in the unforgiving wilderness once more. What say you all?"
Ithelion smiles and steps forward, pitching her voice to be heard by any who cares to listen. "I am not sure the extent to which I speak for my friends, but anyone who professes such concern as you do for the well-being of the citizens of Oakhurst must surely be held in high regard. To extend that concern beyond it's borders is more than one might ever expect, or hope for. Such selfless generosity leaves me...speechless."
She pauses, uncertain, but annoyed at the words of the mayor. (( If people want to interrupt they can! ))
"But -- and I say this with the deepest regret -- we are not wily traders or merchants, and we must complete the simple task we have undertaken -- focusing our efforts on the well-being of just Oakhust itself. For us, the wider concerns and broader economic interests must take second place. The exact nature of the problem is still unknown to us but, rest assured, if the opportunity presents itself we will try to satisfy all our objectives and provide you with the rewards that, as Mayor of this fine town, you clearly and richly deserve."
Well, that didn't come out like I planned, she thinks. With that, she bows slightly to the mayor, and takes a step backward to allow the others to speak if they choose to.
Vernor smiles and nods at your words. "Well said, Elf! No elf gives their word easily so I will take yours as seriously as you have given it. My first priority is Oakhurst, as you have noted. Without trade it will die. I am glad you are amenable to desires and wishes, though," he peers at Garnet, "Maybe not all of you are happy about it." He chuckles. "No matter," he says a bit quieter, "Remember what I mentioned. Secure the source and take out the goblins and...and anything else you find down there. I care about the fruit!"
He huffs on his pipe more, waiting in case you have other business. If nothing, he'll head back up the stairs and say a few things to Jorik. They both disappear.
Garnet feels uncomfortable being so nice to the mayor, bit she does not want to risk any danger to the village or the people who have helped their group so far. She lets Ithelion talk, the mayor seems to favor her anyway.
However when the mentioned that he would take Ithelion's word that the fruit would be secured she frowned. The man ethier misheard or was twisting the elf's words they did not promise to secure anything.
Garnet feels as though no matter the answer to the mayor he will be intent on getting his way.
( Otherwise Garnet is ready to head out.)

Be excellent to each other, and roll for initiative dudes!
Awesome! That's such a cool feature with tons of applications.

Shere heads down for breakfast and waits for the others while strumming his lute making up a song
"The night has passed a day has dawned, hallelujah, halle..lujah
The sun is shining life is strong. Love and life are as one Hallelujah Hallelujah "
He stops and says aloud
"Eh, Needs work" as he audibly purrs as he looks around for his new friends

Daemyar is ready to go back in, assuming we have our gear now.

Ready to go, after we all deliver message to Mayor.
While the message is delivered to the mayor, Krom will head out to find any lantern oil to buy.

Shere gives a curt bow to the Mayor when he mentions him, but remains silent letting the elf speak since she is doing so well.
He finds it irritating that the Mayor knows everything about him. But some pleasure from being well known
