Shere offers the gnome a days worth of rations and some water "If you'rre a rresourceful as you say you will not mention the meals you ate here infront of our friends again! You said you arre a healer? How so?" He glances at Sharpie and Meepo while waiting for a responce.
Ithelion waits for the gnome to eat a little food, trying to remember anything she knows about the names he has mentioned, "So...Khundrukar you say. Is this citadel built upon it?"
(( History for Khundrukar and Durgeddin the Black: 13 ))
Erky bows in response, “Apologues, Sir Feline. Though I’m sure to companions are well aware of the reality.” He nods his thanks for the rations. “Well, I suppose I am a few things: scholar, healer, and I’m okay with arms. The tools of ignorance I suppose.”
At ithelions question, “No, I don’t believe so. From what I have gathered, there are potential sites, all several days journey from here.. Though it is heard that perhaps some of the weapons or knowledge of their whereabouts were brought here by descendants of the orcs who raided the dwarves long ago.”
Krom, the legend of Durgeddin the Black and Khandrukar is well-known to you. It is something of a legend among dwarves in the region and you’ve no doubt heard the stories before. Hundreds of years ago, Orc wars pushed out a few dwarven clans From their home. The dwarves fled and an exodus led by Durgeddin began until they finally found a suitable place deep in a mountain. There in the deep, they forged weapons - the greatest weapons the world has seen! The Orcs again find them and destroy them. They carry off much of the exquisitely made and magical goods, but rumors abound that they forgot many of the secret spaces where many weapons were hidden, and so they wait, ready to be reclaimed by the worthy.
Ithelion nods, "Very well, we should talk later when we get you safely back to Oakhurst. For now..." she glances back the way they came, remembering Meepo's attitude to Gnomes, "...the only way out is though the kobold territory, and I don't think that they would welcome you -- or let you pass the door. It might be best if you came with our growing ... and varied .. small army."
Then her brow furrows, "Unless you know other ways in perhaps? Via the underdark? You came from there you said..."
Erky nods and laughs at Ithelion as well (in common) “Just so lass, just so. Did you come for the dragon as well?”
Meepo has been harboring a mean scowl at the gnome while he has been talking but at the mention of Calceyx, he perks up. “Dragon? You know her? Where? We must get her back to kobold people!” He looks at you all. “You promise, right?!”
A look of concern comes over Shere's face he turns his back and messages the elf "We need to talk I'm not sure what our groups plan on the dragon is"
He walks away motioning to the elf to come with him knowing that his spell would make both of them look like they're whispering to each other anyway, at such a short distance
A look of concern comes over Shere's face he turns his back and messages the elf "We need to talk I'm not sure what our groups plan on the dragon is"
Ithelion covers her mouth to cough, the smell clearly too much for her. She wipes her lips with the back of her hand as she answers Shere's message. "Talk later. Chromatic dragon with the kobolds is a concern. Managing Meepo also important. It's part of why I didn't want him along."
As her hand moves away from her mouth, the sounds of an incantation can be heard and a few seconds later the area around her is imbued with the scent of fresh pine forest. "That's better!"
She glances in Shere's direction and nods in agreement, then turns back to Erky. "We promised to aid Meepo's people and to find the dragon, and we will do both" she says, her tone clipped and precise. She waits a moment to see if Erky understood the distinction, then continues. "What can you tell us of the dragon, and...we are seeking three others: a paladin, and a brother and sister who followed him. Have you seen them?"
Erky replies, "I heard about the twins, of course but not much else. I knew them from Oakhurst, you see. The goblins caught them a some tendays ago - maybe 3 tendays and a bit more. They were actually here with me for a while, chained up right there," he points to where the kobolds were previosuly tied up. "Talgen and Sharwyn - brother and sister, don't you know, and a cocky religious guy - Sir Braford. They weren't here very long. They were taken down to the Darkened One - Belak - and that was the last I saw of them."
Erky shrugs, "Hard to know from my tiny cell. I hear things from time to time. Rumours mostly, I think. The goblins say Belak is experimenting on the humans down there, on animals, on everything. From what I hear he is pretty fearsome and a bit touched....but you know, truth and reality aren't always in agreement."
Ithelion nods, "Well...we should keep moving, I think. But someone needs to take the wounded kobolds to safety." She turns to Meepo, "Can you help your compatriots back to the queen? She seemed quite disappointed we had not rescued them."
"And you..." she turns back to Erky, "...is there anything you need? A bow? A sword? Perhaps some goblin armour...I'm not sure how well it would fit..."
As she ponders the fit of the armour, she glances from Daemyar to the fallen hobgoblin, examining the clothes, then the boots, and any other distinctive or identifying items. "I wonder..." She turns to Daemyar ,"Do you think you could pass yourself off as the one you killed? It might add some confusion...or other opportunities...perhaps with Sharpie in tow..."
Hearing what the elf said he messages "You know we can use some help with that dragon and I think Meepo knows it best, but if you want to send him away." Shere shrugs "We can figure something."
Ithelion glances from Meep to Shere. She is clearly torn, "Ask the others...I'll follow your lead. There's risks both ways, but I'll try to buy some time."
She turns back to Meepo, "Before your people leave, can you ask them if there are more prisoners elsewhere?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
@daemyar - you don't really look much alike - Noxxus is a yellow light skin while yours is more a reddish hue...but you're about the same overall build. Only Noxxus' closer friends would see through your disguise. It might fool a few creatures for a minute or two....maybe.
@ithelion - Meepo does as you ask, the kobolds just shrug. "They not know, they kept here long time," Meepo sighs. "They go back now." Meepo yips and gives the kobolds some weapons and rops to drag the bodies, or figure out a way of bringing them back to koboldville. They pack up the heads and the bodies and leave the area.
Shere offers the gnome a days worth of rations and some water "If you'rre a rresourceful as you say you will not mention the meals you ate here infront of our friends again! You said you arre a healer? How so?" He glances at Sharpie and Meepo while waiting for a responce.
