@Ithelion - You carefully open the bone scroll case. An old parchment is within the case. Age and water damage have destroyed most of it, but a short message in Dwarvish remains: " ... the remaining few. By order of Durgeddin the Black, we have created a secret dwarven redoubt. None shall find us; however, ... " You can't really make sense of any of this at this time, though eyeing the case and the parchment, you guess the case and the parchment could fetch a pretty penny if sold in the right dwarven community or to the right collector/adventurer....
Ithelion studies the scroll a little longer trying to make out more of the words, hoping the familiar scholarly rituals will help her calm down. Eventually, she turns to Erky. "Sadly, very little is legible, though it confirms the tales you heard, I think."
She holds it gingerly, and crouches down, giving both Krom and the gnome a chance to read it. "Like I said, it needs careful study, perhaps when we are back in Oakhurst. To do more here would risk damaging it."

Between Shere and Ithelion, you don't find anything else of value in the circular room that Sharpie was resting in. In the other room however, you spend a bit of time looking in the pile of goods on the southern wall and find a couple of interesting items: a fine agate statue of the elven deity Corellon Larethian and a Medium chain shirt.
@Shere - with your detect magic spell, you note the auras of the two spell scrolls and the potion of healing, but also you see a purple and green hue coming from the pot that has a small tree in it. You sense enchantment and necromantic energies.
Erky just shrugs and smiles. He begins to say something then thinks better of it. He begins to write using some bit of parchment that he found in the pile of stuff in the southern wall.
After looking around, seeing the results of this game of allies has produced he stands staring at the pot glowing with necromancy he messages Ithelion "The pot, it glows with necromancy! Look at it with your own magic, you're probably better at such senses. Necromancy isn't always bad."
After showing the scroll to Krom and Erky, Ithelion stashes the remaining items, the turns her attention to the pot. "Is it the plant, or the pot?" she asks.
She moves to examine them more closely, but does not touch them. She tells Elosa to stay well back (20' or more...), remembering the last time she was toasted.
Krom hefts his warhammer in his hands, "Necromancy is always bad Whiskers. I ain't ever heard of a Litch raisin' the dead to till fields and milk cows. I'm sure Pointy Ears can list ye off all the reasons it is a banned practice. Probably should break the thing to be safe."

Ithelion pauses, happy to speak about something she knows well. "Actually, necromancy is an import and core area of study at the Library. Though many of the most useful spells are divine in origin, most arcane and divine practitioners carry one or more spells deriving from the domain. I myself have even called upon the necromantic arts on several occasions during this journey."
She looks around the group, not really expecting many to be listening, but continues anyway. "In fact, it's a common misconception that Necromancy is all about creating undead. More often than not it's about saving and restoring lives, or harming the undead."
"Of course..." she turns to Daemyar, raising an eyebrow, "...the raising of undead is generally frowned upon, and often done in secret or in the most extreme of circumstances."
She smiles a little condescendingly at the dwarf, "I'm surprised they did not teach you this."
Satisfied with her mini-lecture, perhaps even a little more relaxed, she returns to her investigation.
“Saving and restoring life... if that pot is what keeps that tree alive down here, it may be helpful if we try to bring the fruit back. Or the tree itself it grows from.”

Ithelion, you and the rest have seen these things before, albeit in a different form - much bigger and scarier and with much pointier appendages. This one sways and snarls when you get close enough but is certainly an immature twig blight.
Ithelion glances at Daemyar, her eyebrows rise and she smiles, then nods in appreciation. The lad is coming into his own, it seems.
Prompted by his suggestion, she takes a closer look. But as the realization of its true nature dawns upon her she begins to move back. "I think not: It is one of those things we encountered on the journey here...a twig blight, they called it."
As she speaks, energy crackles on her fingers and the smell of ozone fills the room, then small bolts of energy leap from her fingers and strike the plant. "It's an abomination and should die."

I mean, the plant and pot shatters and clangs to the ground. The twig does not move afterwards.
