Garnet nods too, "They are inherently evil and should be destroyed. I don't want them at my back. But I do not wish to go into that cloud of spores they are kicking up..."

Garnet says to herself I really need to find a bow or some way to hit things at range. She goes to the edge, avoiding the spores and the dust kicked up, readying an action to strike the skeleton if it leaves the garden. She will back up 10 ft from the edge.

Garnet does have a serviceable short bow and some arrows from before, I don't think she ever added them though. If you want you can re-post if you want to drop the sword and use the bow...
Garnet suddenly remembers the short bow she has, she stays where she is, temporarily drops her long sword and nocks an arrow, fires at the remaining skeleton.

Ithelion nods, "Very good point. I guess Erky doesn't get smoked today then." She looks around the room, and briefly uses Elosa's superior eyesight (120') to look into the north entrance from where they are now (she will move west or east if it provides a better vantage).
@daemyar - you poke around the spores a little and you can tell that they seem pretty dangerous - beyond that sadly you have no idea. You could try to harvest a few for later, or perhaps start a small colony.
As Ithelion voices her idea, a deep rumbling laughter can be heard from the northern tunnel. Your eyes flick to the darkness there as a silent - preternaturally silent for something so large - figure is outlined.
"THAT would not be wise,"a booming voice says from the northern tunnel.
Stepping out of the shadows in a heavily muscled, towering bugbear with a huge mace on his shoulder. At his feet chitter two very large giant rats. The bugbear eyes you all suspiciously and almost snarling at you all. You can feel the vibration of his voice as it echoes around the chamber. "These mushrooms put you to sleep and then set spores onto your body. Which then hatch into little mites that burrow into your skin. The fire'd make all those little motes ride the current until they settled on you. Other mushrooms in there are poisonous. Those big ones," he points to the large mushrooms around the room, "used to be adventurers - just like you! Haha!" He laughs for a while before stopping and continuing,"Grenl informed me that you might come down here. I am Balsag, the hunter of the tribe. These are my pets, Grip and Fang. I will soon follow the tribe after I gather my things and trap the way through. You are not to go that way,"he says, gesturing behind him to the dark tunnels.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Garnet will calmly, slowly stow away her short bow and bend down, pick up her long sword. She eyes Balsag and his words, sees if she thinks that he is telling the truth.

Ithelion nods at the bugbear's statement. "We will not follow. When you see them again, please bring our thanks once more to Grenl and Sharpie." She looks at the two rats, and studies the bugbear for a time before continuing. Strange days indeed. "Are you able to tell us more of the area ahead -- we seek the two humans and a warrior that came with them?"

Ithelion grunts, "I'd set fire to the field, but the smoke might be troublesome."
Krom nods at what Garnet says and dumps another sacred flame on one of the skeletons.

Ithelion looks at the vegetable patch, then back at the others. "Should I try to set fire to it? The stairs will provide a chimney, at least."
“A fire underground leads to a lot of suffocated people, often enough that I would not.” Daemyar says still perplexed by the spores.
