(He is not a telepath though I would like to multiclass into a aberrant mind sorcerer. Since cats communicate via smell (Pheromones) it would be a more pleasant smell. But really Shere would only want to find another tabaxi)
Rooting around in this room, it is obvious that someone has used this as a study. Seasonal records of growth, precipitation, harvests, and similar notes for the surrounding lands over the last dozen or so years pile up on the shelves and desk. Also on the bookshelves are lots of different books, ranging from gardening techniques and strategies in different climates to step by step guides on how to clip different kinds of plants to make them grow elsewhere. There are also several different books about nature and the environment, you would guess these would be of interest to someone like Lorell and other druids. Among the other decidedly non-magical books, one or two stand out in particular for their condition and craftsmanship. One is bound in dragon scale and written in Draconic. It reads, "Towards a History of Dragon Lore." Another is a druidic treatise on the cycles of life and death. Both seem very valuable.
Turning your eye towards the possibilities, you find several rolled-up scrolls that you deduce are magical in nature. They have some words scrawled on their outside in Draconic. Ithelion and anyone else who speaks Draconic can read the following on each of the scrolls: Melf's acid arrow, entangle, protection from poison, and scorching ray The fat book on the desk, which you remember also pinged your senses, is bound in red leather and trimmed with gold. On the front is a red dragon's head in mid-roar. The title on the front (also in Draconic) reads: "Treasures of the Fire Lords."
The desk itself holds some drawers and cubby-holes that you could take a look in, if you want. Ithelion did not see any magical aura from the desk itself, so in speaking with the elf, you've no reason to think there is anything magical within.
Ithelions eyes glaze over for a moment, and she speaks quietly, "...there are 3 volumes in particular I require. They are bound in dragon hide and document the rise of the Order of the Dragon Priests...". She examines the books more closely, wondering if any fit the description, and then looks over the titles of other books.
As she does this, she sets Elosa to looking for signs of other ways in or out, drafts, tracks etc.
"Towards a History of Dragon Lore"certainly fits the description, being bound in dragon hide.....
Elosa doesn't seem to find anything interested, other than a few spiders that she gobbles up. If you look for tracks you see them, human boots marks or slippers of some sort.
Ithelion gathers up the books and scrolls and places them in her bag. "We should investigate these properly later" she says. No time for the important things any more!
When they are safely stowed, she turns her attention to the desk drawers and cubby holes, looking for mundane items of interest in the drawers. Then she pulls out the drawers, checking behind and under them for anything secreted away.
Finally she stands and moves to the door, taking a last, longing, look at the bookshelves, "I could spend days here, but we have more pressing matters to deal with."
@DM: Is she able to get any quick senses of what "Treasures of the Fire Lords" is about?

Checking around in the desk drawers and cubbies, you find 365 gp and 4 glittering agate gems.
You're not completely sure - it could mean a lot of different things. Your gut feeling is that it could have something to do with Kossuth, the god of elemental fire. You do notice that there is a book mark of sorts tucked into the pages near the front cover, perhaps someone was reading this book recently?
In the library/study, there is only one way out. The tracks that Ithelion found lead around the room - there isn’t just one set of tracks - and most lead out of the room and left, to the other door.
Ithelion looks towards the exit, "There is only one remaining door, I believe." Elosa hops to Daemyar's shoulder, and Ithelion follows makes ready to follow the others.
So Shere has been purring sweet nothings telepathically to Ithelion this whole time?!

Krom will just casually look through the library, more to pass the time and keep busy while the others look around.
Be excellent to each other, and roll for initiative dudes!

Garnet is interested, starts to look through the books in order, going up and down the shelves. "See anything you like Ithelion? Interesting - "

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Daemyar is looking around for secrets, hidey-holes and spyholes etc rather than at the books
