Cala nods at Alton, but lets him take care of the leader. She instead turns her attention to subduing the other people firing, running up to S1 and stabbing at them with her spear, then aiming a kick towards the chest (non-lethal).
The goliath winces at the psychic damage Alton deals her, but seems little bothered by it. She also deflects both of Cala's attacks; her cloak is slipping and her armour and shield are now easily visible. She swears, seeming to be impatient rather than angry or afraid, and makes another attack with her longsword on Balassar:
Attack: 14 Damage: 5
Again, the dragonborn's skill is too great for her. She shouts to the smaller creatures, in draconic - so only Balassar understands: No time for this!
Round Three: Balassar and Wash (in any order) Four small dragon-like creatures (one other appears to be dead) Alton and Cala (in any order) Goliath woman
Cala's spear cracks the creature over the head, and it falls instantly to the ground, seeming to be unconscious.
(In the present round:)
Balassar's attack wounds the goliath, and she looks in fury at him and replies in common: You don't even know.... Damn you. Though she has taken a few hits now, she's nowhere near spent - you get the sense that this is a hardened fighter and a dangerous foe.
Wash, you do manage to bring the creature down, its little body slammed to the ground; it doesn't move. Three of the creatures now lie motionless, and only two remain standing.
Cala and Anton, you notice it first, and most clearly. From the first of the small creatures you took down (no. 5) lying crumpled in a heap of cloth, there's a sustained, high-pitch whine emanating.
Creature 2 disengages from Balassar and runs up between the buildings to the north. Creature 4 follows, turning to shoot its sling at the dragonborn:
Attack: 22 Damage: 3
Balassar, it hits you square in the eye; there's blood, and blurred vision for a moment before it clears. You hear a little yip of satisfaction, but you and Wash also now hear the whining noise coming from creature 5.
Cala, you can investigate the body with a free action, because the source of the whining noise is apparent as soon as you move its cloak aside. An acorn-sized copper ball is tied to its arm, and tied tightly; you would need a sharp edge to cut it free, and that would require a full action.
You also get your first proper look at the creature beneath the cloak:

Alton, seeing the two smaller figures flee, gives a small cheer and shouts, "Hey Scales, great job. Now capture their leader so we can call it a day and toast to this event and your strength. Does anyone else here that awful noise?" Not wanting to pass up the opportunity to capture someone important, Alton will stay close to the wall of the building and move in behind the leader. "First your allies flee and now you're surrounded, this is not your day." Alton will say to the leader.
Bonus Action: Bardic inspiration to Balassar Movement: Move in behind the leader across from Balassar Action: Vicious Mockery at the leader, DC 14 WIS save for 4 points of psychic damage.

Cala, it's just a smaller copper ball; you can't really see anything more about it. The whining noise is growing in intensity.
Goliath's WIS save: 5
She winces again, her eyes losing focus for a moment as the damage hits.
The goliath takes one more look at you all, grabs a ring on her hand and twists it. Suddenly, fog fills the late afternoon; Balassar and Alton, you see basically nothing around you except gray fog. You hear the goliath move away, but are unable to take an attack as you cannot see her.
Cala and Wash, from the outside you see a circle of fog appear magically from nowhere. You do not see anything within, nor do you see anyone leave.

[OOC: Hehe, I guess I’m not stabilising creature 1 if I can’t see it then. Oops.]
Wash sees the smaller creatures run between the tavern and leftmost building (and sees fog fill the area he was about to run to) so tries running between the tavern and rightmost building to cut them off.
[If I can get through and am in range, I’ll eldritch blast : 11
Wash, you're able to get up through between the buildings, and you see the fleeing creature and goliath. Your blast of force energy almost hits the small creature, but just goes wide.
(I would say that from this angle, the creature has partial cover behind the larger creature, so even with inspiration this misses.)
Balassar is up. You're in a world of fog, and don't know where your foes are.
Balassar, as the goliath surveyed the area knowing she might have to run through fog, whereas you didn't, I would say it is hard for you to chase after her at full speed. Can you please make a straight DEX check to see how well you get on.

Wash is up.

Wash moves down so he has line of site on Creature 3 and casts eldritch blast: 16
Damage if it hits: 7
[Steve, thanks - I’ll save Healing Light. I’ll also post in a few seconds if I use my bardic inspiration on this attack.]

Cala bends down to the cloaked figure, searching the body for the source of the noise.

Balassar will just run in the direction that he last saw the Goliath hoping to get out of the fog and see her.
