Balassar, you bump into someone - you would guess it's one of the small creatures - as you pass, but they can't get an attack on you and they don't slow you down much. You emerge from the fog and see the goliath and another cloaked creature with her, running at full speed away from you. You still have ten feet of movement left, and your action.
The goliath seems to shrug off the worst of it; the smaller creature collapses in a stiff, frozen heap.
Cala, the smaller copper ball is now whining more loudly, and has started to vibrate. At the same time, you hear the same whining noise coming from the bodies of the two fallen creatures you are next to.
Balassar, you see one of the smaller creatures run at you from out of the fog cloud, and attack you with its dagger:
Attack: 13 Damage: 6
Once again, your shield deflect a potentially damaging blow.
Alton and Cala are up. You cannot see anything that has occurred the space to the north, and Casa you were not close enough to hear the goliath and Balassar run that way, especially given the loud whining noise coming from the three downed creatures. Alton, you hear the whining clearly, and cannot see anything. You did hear Balassar run past you, or at least you think you did. If you want to run at full speed out of the fog cloud, you'll also need to give me a DEX check.
Alton will shout as the fog appears, "No fair, that is cheating!" Alton will make his way back to where he last saw Cala. he is pretty sure that if the dragon born when past him, he can handle them. "Hey, we shouldn't split too far from those other guys more enemies could show up. Also, that noise is starting to hurt my ears."
Dex check: 22
(OOC: Bane applies to saving throws as well, but the leader would still pass even with a minus to it.)

Cala nods at Alton's words, eyes wide as she takes in all that is going on. "What do you think it is?" she asks. She is curious to know what the ringing noise is, but she also isn't sure if she wants to be around when it happens. She searches for the other two they have been fighting with, seeing Wash dart away, she follows.
(I will use my movement and action to dash and get as close to Wash as possible but also to stay behind him.)
Cala, you follow Wash into a small gap between two buildings.
(Alton, you can still take an action if you wish.)
The goliath is not messing about now. She races away from Balassar as fast as she can, with no thought of concealment. Balassar, you can take an Opportunity Attack if you wish.
Round Five: Balassar and Wash (in any order) One surviving small dragon-like creature Alton and Cala (in any order) Goliath woman
The goliath woman has disappeared through a tangle of alleys between the buildings to the north, though you can give chase if you wish.
Balassar, your blow hits but the Goliath takes it without flinching and moves away. You give chase, but it's hard to keep her in view, and the passages twist and turn.
You still have your action for this turn; if want to use it to dash, please make a Perception check.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Seeing Balassar run up one side of the building, Wash also gives chase and runs up the other side of the building. Wash tries to see Balassar or the Goliath whilst passing the back of the building, whilst summoning a ball of force.
[Wash moves 30 feet North. I don’t think that will even get Wash to the back of the building, but if so he will try to see the Goliath.
Perception: 13
If Wash sees the Goliath, he will release an eldritch blast: 12 Damage if seen and hits: 1
If Wash doesn’t see the Goliath, he will double dash North.
Meta-gaming - I really want to run to creature 2, stabilise it, and the throw the copper ball away; so we can question it about what is happening before it explodes (I’m making assumptions there that Wash might not). Obviously everything is not what it seems. I think in the circumstances though that Wash would view the Goliath as a threat to other towns folk and is on board with Balassar’s plan of trying to stop and hopefully question it.]
Wash you do see the goliath and stop to blast at her; she dodges the bolt of force energy as she weaves through crates and tight spaces in the back alleys of the city.
She's not stopping, and she's pulling further away.
Alton, you still need to take your action (or let me know you're not taking it) from your last turn...
Alton, you move away following Cala. As you are about to turn a corner in pursuit, you hear the whining increase in pitch and volume, then cease. And a half-second later, you hear an explosion behind you. You turn, and are just able to see near the fog that the device has detonated. And you still hear more devices, whining and getting louder.
Alton and Cala, it's now your turn proper for this round. You see where Balassar and Wash have gone, but you do not have eyes on the goliath yourselves.
Cala's eyes shift to the explosion, and then lock with Alton. "I have a bad feeling that they are all going to do that," she stutters out, not knowing what to do.
(Did the explosion destroy/kill the creature that had it? Also are there any civilians around now? I assume the fog is still up so the only unconscious creature with a whining device that Cala can see would be S2, yes?)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Alton stares at the explosion in awe at first then to the visible surrounding area to see what damage has been done and if there is anyone that needs help. "If that is the case, we should move any visible bodies away from buildings. I know two more ran down that fogged ally. You keep going that way, I'll stay here and see if anyone needs help. I honestly wouldn't be able to keep up the chase for long." If he can't spot anyone in the area he will see if he can make his way inside of the tavern to check on those that might be inside. Alton flashes Cala a cheeky smile and snaps his fingers into finger-guns, "You've got this hero!"
Action: Perception: 21 for the damage and help Bonus Action: Alton gives Cala some Bardic Inspiration Movement: along the tavern wall to the door or towards anyone that sounds like they need help
(OOC: Cala now has one (1d6) Bardic inspiration dice for roughly the next 10 minutes that they can add once to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw; Balassar too, unless he used it already. Also the Leader has Bane for another five rounds, unless Alton loses concentration before then.)

Cala, although you heard the detonation, you don't have line of sight to it and cannot see any details. You also can't see Alton from your current location, though you are close enough to speak to him if you wish. You can't even see S2, though you can hear whining coming from that direction.
Alton, the blast seems to have been limited to a five-foot radius, but the fog cloud is still up and you can't see fully. You do think you see signs that the fog cloud is slowly dispersing. You cannot see the door to the tavern clearly, but are able to recall roughly where it was, so you head in. You don't think you hear anyone calling for help, though you do hear running feet coming from the west (behind the fog cloud). Inside the tavern you find a room with about half a dozen dwarves and gnomes, some carrying hammers, others pickaxes, and they all step back in alarm as you barrel through the door. One steps up in front of you: You! What's going on?
Cala smiles nervously at Alton, then moves around the corner to the body of S2, cutting the whining item off of its body with the sharp end of her spear (and, if possible, pushing it 5-10 feet away from them as well)
