“One gold piece.” Shank barters, taking a coin and holding it out to the man.

"We have been hired to seek out a great evil and destroy it."  Leann says with a serious tone to her voice.  "There is an artifact that is stopping people from being raised from the dead, and sucking souls to it from across the world.  We wish to find this artifact and destroy it." She sighs.  "I know the jungle is large, so we need to know where to go first, have a guide that can help us get there, and make sure that guide has the best interest of the land and its people at heart." She meets the guide's eyes.  "We have heard good things about you, so would like you to help in this.  Do you know where we can go to learn about this great evil, or someone we can speak with who can set us on the correct path?  If so, will you also guide us into the jungle and help us to accomplish this work?"

"Please," Ceidil joins Leann, "we need to help the people who are effected by it."

(The man grumbles as he takes Shank's coin. "What do you want? It will be delivered here, this midnight, provided there is payment waiting.")

Clearly impressed by the speech the lady smiles. "My name is Ekusama, but you can call me Eku. Rarely do I find travelers who care so much about the land and the people. I will be more than happy to help you with your journey, I too have heard of this artifact, and my grandmother is stricken by the disease. Do you have a map?"

"I do." Leann says with a nod.  "I do know how rare this map is though, so would rather not pull it out here where other eyes might see what it is we have, or we may never leave this inn in one piece."

Eku smiles again. "I see, do you have a room here we could go to? Mapping Chult is very difficult, meaning maps are very rare to find, at least, real ones are."

"I do." Leann says and leads the way up to her room.

Yesqirelle will join them in Leann's room.  She's been lurking on the outskirts of the room, avoiding social interaction.

Selen looks at the proceedings. 

" Might I join ? I want to have a better understanding of the culture and what we are up against." 

Ceidil follows them up to the room, "I mean, at this point it seems like everyone is going," she says with a smile.

Leann would signal to any of their group who is around to join them.

Seebo will remain in the main room waving to them as they head back to the room. “I already know what she’s going to say,” he calls after them.

Turning to the waiter he asks for a refill on his coffee.

Once everyone is in the room, (excluding Seebo of course,) Eku asks to see the map.

Leann shows her the map.

The map shows the following: 

"This map is impressive, I've never seen one so complete before. This is worth many hundreds of gold coins. This is where we are," Eku points to Port Nyanzaru. "In order to launch an expedition, which I'm sure you want to do, you must get a permit from the Flaming Fist, they are here." She points to Fort Beluarian (Northeast of port Nyanzaru). "You can take one of the ferries to the Fort, and file a permit. I can accompany you if you wish. Once you get the permit, you are free to explore as you wish."

Yesqirelle nods.

"I say we go there as soon as possible, then.  Our employer doesn't have much time left, and the sooner we start in earnest the sooner she'll be back to normal."

"Although, from here, to here," Eku points to The Mistcliff and Kitcher's Inlet. "Almost all of Northeastern Chult, is all Flaming Fist territory. Expeditions can be conducted outside without a charter." 

Yesqirelle nods.

"I still say it couldn't hurt to file one, if our expedition ever does take us into their territory."

She turns to the rest of the party.

"What do you think?"

"I agree, just as well have a charter."  Leann confirms.  She turns to their guide.  "Do you have any place we should go first, once we set out into the jungle, since we do not know where to even start looking for this artifact?"

Selen nods. " Agreed."
