Herman is from Luskan from the Elk tribe, his father was a chieftain. During his youth there was a battle against another tribe where his tribe was defeated, he one fo the few survivors.

He spent the rest of his youth in Luskan. Now in mid twenties, he decided to leave everything behind to make a name for himself: finding empolyment in guarding ships cargos : the latest assgnmento was to Baldur's Gate. He is now at the Low Lantern tavern.
