Nolla deactivates her boots as soon as the enemy is down. As the priest is healed she steps towards him as well, then watches as he up and sprints away towards the village. "Guess we best be after him to see what this is all about." She says with a grin to the others. as she walks she pulls out her lyre and starts to play a tune.
Roardaar lops off a claw with his ax and places it into his pack which he collects from where it sits by the fire pit. He then follows the others to see what the priest was babbling about.
As Corin comes out of his rage he remembers dropping his longbow and seeing his friends trailing the priest he turns around and retrieves his dropped weapon. After which he tries to track down his friends and the priest.
Bree grunts, annoyed. The priest hadn't even offered a thank you to the group, which to the halfling was the height of bad manners. Seeing the others in the group following the priest, she sighs.
"Ayup. I told ye this was going to be a strange day, Wellby. I hate to say it, but ye know there's no way I can keep up with the big folks meself."
The crab seems to roll its eyes but turns around and allows Bree to climb onto his back. Riding the Giant Crab, Bree will follow as well.
You had all started the watch in front of the gate that's almost dead center on the map. The map scale is 20'. With everyone following the priest to find out what the hell's going on you see that he is more or less out of control while trying to run. He keeps weaving and occasionally falling to a knee before getting up again. While he's running he's calling out frantically "Which way. Where is the commander. He must get the map" (You all know the commanders house is the big one on the north end of the map, labeled 1) You can all easily keep pace with him as his run is actually normal movement speed (30') because of how erratic it is. When he has barely gotten past the main gate entrance, just inside the gate he falls to his knees and starts retching up blood.
(just a note that he did pick up the tube after he was healed)
Keeping a close eye on him from above Perdot swoops down when he reaches the gate and shifts back to his normal form. He looks up to anyone nearby and sternly tells them to "Find the commander!" He then rubs his hands together, places them on the priest and casts lesser restoration saying "Calm down sir. The commander is on the way. The creature is dead. You're safe now."
You can see he is breathing easier and does calm down somewhat. "Thank you! I could feel the poison eating me away from the inside. I'm sure you just saved my life so again thank you. I apologize for my earlier rudeness but it is of the upmost importance that I see the commander. Could you take me to him please?"
"His house is this way. Let us go together." Perdot says, looking at his group (who has most likely caught up), and slowly leading the priest. While they walk he asks "do you know why that creature was attacking you?"
Bree will eye the priest skeptically and bob her head vigorously as he asks about the creature. "Aye. And exactly why that beastie said that ye were pledged to it? What exactly are ye a priest of anyway?"
Sensing the ranger's discomfort, the crab shifts into a defensive position, his eyestalks glaring at the priest fiercely.
Trying to hurry the pace "I do thank you, but I will not answer your questions. I know you fought on my behalf and I would like to trust you but in these times trust is a rare thing. The one who calls himself Master has spies everywhere and is devious and cunning. How am I to know your actions weren't meant to gain my trust so I would reveal what I know?"
You have made it about halfway to the commanders house when you see Sarras running up to you all. He is red faced with anger "What is this! Who do you bring into our camp and why have you all abandoned your post!"
When Nolla sees that the priest is struggling she would put away the lyre, as it is not quite the time for celebration it seems. She would keep pace as they continue after the priest and just shrug when the red-faced man runs up and starts demanding answers. "Ask him yourself." She explains, nodding to the priest.
Roardaar was following along somewhat leisurely, not really concerned with keeping up to the priest. He comes upon the group shortly after Sarras runs up. He gestures to the priest while addressing the commander, “This one has apparently pledged himself to a demon. Weight his words carefully before putting your faith in him.” And then to the priest, “Speak carefully Padre, I have my eye on you,” he says as he not-so-subtlety rests his battleaxe on his shoulder.
The priest seeing Sarras drops to a knee "By your leave" he says while presenting the brass tube. Sarras takes it and spins it around in his hands. You catch a glimpse of a symbol on the tube when the light catches it's raised edges but before you can make out what it is Sarras pockets the tube. "Come" he says to the priest. "The commander will want to speak with you immediately." He holds out his arm to indicate the direction for the priest and then turns to the group. "Pledged to a demon? You have no idea who this man..." He lets out a huff "Return to your post. It takes 6 of you to escort a half dead priest into camp!" His voice rising as he continues "Leaving us unguarded while the enemy is at our heels! You can be sure we will discuss the lapse of your duty in the morning! Now GO!"
He turns sharply on his heel and offering an arm to the priest heads towards the commanders house.
"Guess we'll learn what they want us to know." Nolla says with a shrug. She nods to the others. "Back to our posts..." She says, trying to say it in a voice similar to the orders just given them. She shrugs and turns to head that way herself.
"Huh." Bree sighed. It was always this way with the muckity-mucks. Sarras hadn't even included Wellby in his comments. She shrugs her shoulders and pats the crab on the shell, sritching him at the base of his eye stalks. "I know, lad. Ye did good, ye did." She whispers.
Looking at the others, Bree actually gives them a nod. "Ye all did okay out there. All of ye can take care of yerselves in a scrap." It's probably the first time the chubby halfling has offered any of you a compliment and after she says it, she immediately goes back to ignoring you and fawning over the large crab that is carrying her back to the post.

Corin will also run and dash to keep up with the priest. He would like some answers as to what is going on.

Boriglar follows, making sure to bring the tube. Using a cloth to make sure none of the residue touches him.

Getting distracted while looking around the camp. Boriglar just caught up, only to let out a sigh and turn around to walk back.
