Roardaar speaks to the group and especially to Corin, “I too would like some answers before I go off to fight demons or gods know what else. I signed on to fight, sure, but I’m no fool, I like to know what I’m up against. Also, where I come from we have a little thing called a Life Debt and that priest currently owes me one. So I say we go over there right now and kick in the commander’s door and get some answers. Who’s with me?”
Corin says to the group: "Aye lets take whatever they are offering and I agree that if answers are to be had it looks as though we must get them ourselves."
Corin will wait and pull Boriglar aside and say: "If I offended you with my harsh words earlier I apologize. They were not directed at you. They were meant for Sarras."
"I find things tend to work themselves out."Perdot says, adding "Though that's not to say sometimes fate can't use a helping hand... I do not think kicking the door down would be very effective in this situation."
Corin will say to Roardaar: "My friend although I would normally agree with you I would say Nay to kicking the commander's door down. As much as I like the idea I don't want my actions to harm our friends and if we do that I think our whole group would swing from the nearest tree. Maybe it would be best to go on the mission. At least we would be away from Sarras!"
Bree bobs her head. "None of ye better nae do a thing that would harm me chances of getting on that boat. " She warns, her eyes flickering as she works to pack her fishing gear into her rucksack. "I dinnae think any one of us likes Sarras, but ye know we aren't the most popular folk in this town anyway, None of the regular soldiers think we're worth a spit with our Guide titles. Best fer us to get out o' this village awhile."
Its the most you've heard Bree say that hasn't been directed to the Giant Crab. She goes back to her packing her pack, muttering something about "beautiful trout" as she throws a lot of odds and ends from her pack into a pile on the ground.
"Oh come on you all, this is half of the fun of these sorts of things." Nolla says to the others, giving them a hearty smile. "Getting to figure all of this stuff out on our own, when they could have ruined it all by just telling us to start with." She gives a laugh then, clearly not at all displeased by the turn of events. "It will be a grand adventure, let's get going to see where we end up." She would play a lively tune on her lyre as she heads to start packing her gear.
Boriglar accepts the words from Corrin with a smile, “Oh, don’t worry. Should one be offended by the bee that stings them? No, the bee was just being a bee. You, were being you. Do not apologize.” Boriglar chimes in with the rest of the group. “However I feel like the best course of action is not to be busting down these doors. We have a path placed in front of ourselves, let’s walk through it together.” Boriglar begins to look over his things and prepare. Especially taking time to take a big whiff of the small keg beside him and look around for any ingredients that he could toss in before he heads to a new location.
Perception check around the camp for any ingredients that would look interesting: 15
Boriglar will take some time to talk to Nolla. “I have been faithful to many ideas for long time. I am taken back by your faith, how you harness that power to heal others. Mine has only made me better to hit things, Ha! Must take very strong faith, indeed. It’s interests me.”
Roardaar will just grunt and quickly pack up his belongings muttering to himself something about “...bloody sheep...” Once he is packed he heads into the town and sits under a tree (I think those are trees on the map) outside the commander’s office, staking it out, observing who is coming and going and keeping an eye out for the priest until it is time to report to the boat.
Perdot nods at Boriglar's words adding "We will certainly find our place, as does the wind and the river. Our friend Bree here seems very happy to see the water, so perhaps already that is a sign that we are on the correct path."
Boriglar, unfortunately you don't find anything in the ruined town. It's all been trampled and pretty much destroyed from the recent battle.
Roardaar, you find a shady spot by the commanders house and watch the comings and goings. Right now what's going on is Sarras is in that open space to the east of the commanders house. Although you can't see him you can hear him yelling orders to the reserves. You can also see most of the reserves gathering there, distributing supplies, and checking gear in preparation
Nolla nods to Boriglar. "Gilean," She places her hand on the symbol around her neck, "grants me the powers that I use." She explains. She shrugs then, giving a light-hearted smile. "I can't say I truly understand how it works any better than you do, just that I Know he will grant me the powers he has seen fit to bestow upon me."
With or without the others, Bree and Wellby will start to make their way to the river and Porras, the boatman charged with taking them, singing a Dwarvish sea shanty along the way. She wants to inspect the raft and she has a lot of questions for Porras, so much so that the normally terse, grumpy halfling seems to skip through town, actually nodding at anyone she sees pass her on the way to the raft.
"I cannae believe its happening, Wellby. Its the best day I've had since I signed on for this bloody affair. The others seem okay, yeah?" She pauses and waits for the crab's response, then nods vigorously. "Yeah -- I agree. I jes' hope there are no greenhorns aboard. Vomit will scare away the fishies."
(For anyone who goes to meet Pormas, but I'll start with Bree and Welby)
You are met next to the river by a thin weathered human with a thick graying beard in leather armor and a wide brimmed hat. He approaches saying "Well, aint you a sight for sore eyes! Finally someone else who knows the way o the water!" He kneels in front of Welby "I'm Pormas. Pleasure to meet ya. Who is the land lover walkin beside ya?" He let out a great bellowing laugh.
Nolla would be keen to get to the raft/boat as soon as possible as well. She would walk up as the captain of the fine vessel is greeting the companion of her friend Bree.
"He is definitely a good fellow." Nolla agrees with a smile for Bree. "It is a he, isn't it?" She asks Bree in an aside.
Boriglar thanks Nolla, “We may have to discuss at a later date.”
without any rush to his movements he walks down to the raft once he has everything. Not one to have too much experience in water crafts. “I’m not judging your vessel..... but is there a weight limit?” He says as he rubs his belly.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Bree will laugh with delight at the old salt's greeting. "Land lover? Watch yer tongue, old timer," she says, slapping Pormas on the back. "I'd place my knowledge o' the deep against yers anytime. Aint't that right, Wellby." The crab ignores her, instead, letting Pormas scratch his eye stalk. "Why you ungrateful little sod!" she says, smiling a bit. She thinks to herself how much she liked the old sailor and missed his like.
She chuckles a bit at Nolla's question about Wellby, shooting a knowing glance at Pormas. "Aye, he's a good lad. Raised him meself since he was a wee...." she pauses, setting up the punchline. "nipper!" and then laughs again, this time uproariously.
Growing more serious, she will take some time to inspect Pormas's craft, peppering the old man with questions about fishing along the river, and looking at Boriglar, and then her own stomach, just to satisfy herself to its buoyancy.
You all know where the supply tent is. Even though supplies for the reserve army have been taken already there is still enough hard tack (bare rations, pretty much salted fish) and huge barrels of water and empty waterskins. You can take as much as you can carry. (Know that water is heavy though)
There are a few basic weapons and pieces of armor. Probably unclaimed by the dead but nothing of quality.
There are no tents, but if there are specific camping supplies you're looking for, like a lantern or more rope or something like then it can probably be found.
(If someone has specific basic items they feel they need before leaving just let me know.)

Perdot will go with Corin to get the supplies. Mostly food stuffs I think. Perhaps camping supplies (tents etc) if those are needed.
