Annoyed but undeterred, Noah casts another Ray of Frost with a flick of the tip of his wand and a few arcane words. He targets the rat engaged with Ryona.

Falenas looks at his hand for a moment. It feels so different to use this spell in actual combat. He shakes his head and looks around, seeing as the rats that are conscious are heavily wounded, he trusts that his companions will take care of them. Falenas decides to take advantage of his position and pay attention to the room in case he sees other creatures or something else that can be of interest.

"Ha ha, this is way to easy for us." Jarnick laughs as he thrust his rapier forward, targeting the rat in front of him, trying to pin it to the ground.

(Presuming the others did enough damage to kill the 2 conscious rats, otherwise attack: Attack: 20 Damage: 3)
Looking to Jarnick as he skewers one of the likely already dead rats, she steps on the one in front of her as she walks toward the barricade. "If this were a story, that'd be the cue for a swarm of them." She looks for signs of how the rats got in and listens for the sounds of others. Perception: 13
Noah's beam of cold energy strikes rat flesh this time around, rolling it across the ground to lie still, frozen in death. The remaining rat skitters aside of Yevele's staff, but cannot evade the kick that snaps its neck.
In the momentary lull of combat, Falenas and Ryona survey the remaining situation. Aside from the two slumbering on the other side of the barricade, there do not seem to be any more rats in the larder. There also do not seem to be any other entrances or exits to the room, though there are a few more crates and barrels that have been chewed through, like the two near you.
There are only two rats remaining, asleep for the moment.
Noah breathes heavily for several moments, his eyes darting around to ensure none of the rats remain conscious. He lowers his wand and walks over to the barricade, peering over.
"I suppose we should kill the last of them and bring the corpses back to Feywing?"

"No, my dear. I agree wholeheartedly," Maelfearance says softly, distractedly to nobody in particular. Then, to the room in general but looking at Noah, Maelfearance suggests "Perhaps we pile the corpses somewhere outside, I'm not sure the lady would want dead wants delivered to her."
"Now be ready, the last two shall awaken once disturbed... And they may find this disturbing," Maelfearance says as he casts Eldritch Blast once his companions seem readied. ((attack 6 damage 7 upon one of the sleeping rats...)). ((Then again, he missed so badly the rats may not be disturbed at all...))
"Wait, we should all team up to make sure we kill them without waking them up." Yevele says as she sees Falenas climb down.
She then proceeds to grab a crate off the top of the pile and pull it down, followed by the crater underneath, and so on, until it is easy for them to scramble over the crates and get into the area where the sleeping rats are.

Jarnick looks dubiously at his compatriots, "Folks, take it slowly, they aren't even moving," he walks up to one of the rats, and gesture his rapier in front of where he think is the rat's heart, "Just aim for their heart." he thrust his rapier once more.
If a rat is impetuously awakened and it isn't killed right away:
Ryona will scramble over the barricade with Athletics19, rushing to aid her allies to kill the rat. She swings her mace as soon as closes upon it. Attack: 6 Damage: 6
Otherwise:
Ryona helps move a couple crates, wordlessly anticipating Yevele's effort. Once it is open, she stands to the side and looks to Noah while he speaks. She nods in agreement, again nodding to Maelfearance when he responds. She puts her mace away and motions Noah over as she approaches. With a quick bend, she examines the bite closely, slinging her pack off her shoulders to the floor. "Bleeding cleans the wound a bit," she offers encouragingly.
Presuming my previous post did not take up a full action, Noah will prepare to cast Ray of Frost and fire it off once one of the rats awakens.
If Ryona examines the wound, Noah will stand idly as she does so. "Hurts like hell, too," He adds, not without some annoyance. Regardless, he is thankful for the aid.
Falenas does not put his full strength behind the swing, perhaps not entirely willing to kill defenseless prey. The nudge doesn't wake the rat. Malfearance also seems to have trouble, as his eldritch blast fails to connect with the rat's life force. Jarnick, however, slides his rapier easily into the heart of one of the rats.
OOC: One rat remains alive, asleep for the time being. Noah's ray of frost is being held for the moment it awakens.
Taking water and a strip of clean cloth from her pack, Ryona hardly even listens to the execution of the last rat while she cleans up Noah's injury. Medicine5 (Expecting no mechanical benefit)
Once Yevele has removed enough boxes to create an easy path, she will climb through the opening and walk over to the sleeping rat and smash its head in with her staff. Attack: 19 Damage: 8
Despite Ryona's efforts, she binds the sorcerer's wound in such a way that it causes more pain as he puts weight on it. The bleeding has stopped, however. As she tends to his wounds, Yevele deals with the last remaining rat, cracking its skull in its sleep.
As the last rat falls, you hear the sound of applause emanating from the doorway behind you. The Master stands in the frame, beaming. "Excellent work. You are the most impressive group of students I've had in more than a century. I know, I know, I can hear your doubts. After all, these were just simple rats, right?" she exclaims.
"Yes. These were hungry, feral animals, an uncoordinated and unimpressive opponent. However, this rat test of mine has shaken apart many of my classes, and even claimed a couple of lives. So what, you may be wondering, makes this group different? Simply put, you learned more quickly than the others that you are stronger as a team than you are as individuals."
"What, praytell, may have happened if you had charged in, each seeking individual glory? What if, instead of putting rats to sleep to give yourselves the numerical advantage, Maelfearance had used his eldritch magic, and it fizzled as it did? What if Jarnick had seen more fit to leap over the barricade and charge for his own glory, leaving Noah to fend off a giant rat by himself? This simple battle would have gotten out of hand quite quickly, I assure you. Remember that as you continue to grow as a team. Remember that in your future battles."
The elf looks at the state of her larder and gives a small laugh. "I always forget how expensive this test is." She smiles, "No matter. Let me clean up. I think you've earned the rest of the day off."
Jarnick rejoices with a smile, looking at his companions with camaraderie, "I did not think that was impressive, guess that we are a great team, that was a good first step." glance at the scene and looks at The Master, "Master Feywing, are you sure you don't need us to clean up this mess?"
Noah winces in pain as the bandage is applied, but is grateful for the assistance nonetheless. "Thanks - go a little easier next time, yeah?"
Sheathing his dagger and tucking his wand into a thin scabbard-like apparatus on his belt, he pivots and looks to Master Feywing. "Thank you for the compliments, Master." He smiles the best he can, and walks back to the landing above the basement. Noah then begins to stroll back to his quarters to rest his wound. If he is not interrupted by anything until he reaches his room, he will enter, leaving the door unlocked. He will peruse through the volumes of some of the available arcane literature until he fulfills a Short Rest or is interrupted.
