As Alaric quietly approaches, he notices a second goblin in the bush. Both are in the process of fitting an arrow.
If you choose to attack them I'll need a initiative roll, and you can proceed to attack with surprise (advantage). Goblin 1 is 5ft away. Goblin 2 is 10ft away.
Edit: after you attack, I'm going to hold up a bit for the others to catch up.
If that hits he can then do sneak damage, I think, and he has a dagger in his off hand...he might be able to use it on the other
Sneak damage if needed: 4
Edit: No worries re holding up. I will sleep soon. If it's killed knocked unconscious by sword alone, he won't use sneak attack, unless it would just be wasted. If he can attack the other one, or the first is not dead down, he will:
If you bring down an enemy to 0 hit points, you can choose whether to kill it or knock it unconscious. One is not harder than the other, you only have to tell me before you attack what you plan to do. Usually, most people strike to kill, so they don't normally say "strike to kill" every attack. If you want to knock them unconscious, just say "strike/attack (whatever) to knock out.
(edit: Alvara will have to wait until it's her turn. With 13 Ini, she will probably go second or third. But if you want to roll her attack now to save time that is fine.)
(( Okay, thanks! I will roll for when her turn comes up. Is the correct way to roll for this Attack = D20 + Spell Attack of 6 and Damage = D10 + Modifier of 4? Or is the +4 modifier not added to damage? I've included the spell description herefor reference: "You hurl a mote of fire at a creature or object within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d10 fire damage. A flammable object hit by this spell ignites if it isn't being worn or carried."
On her turn, Alvara casts Firebolt on the nearest goblin to the wagon. Attack: 14 Damage (with Modifier): 12 Damage (w/o Modifier): 8
(PolarBearr, I'm not %100 sure about the modifier, but as the DM I have the final say, so go ahead and use it. Yes, that is the right way to roll it.:))
