Both the guards are paying no attention to anything outside of the hut they are in. They are sitting around a small fire, and cooking some kind of meat.

Trying to attract the attention of the goblins, Alvara casts Minor Illusion outside the hut to produce the sound of a heavy coin clinking as it drops to the ground and spinning for several moments before it falls flat.
Ereminus's stone hits the water of the river with a loud splash. Voices of surprise echo out from the hut, and two goblins come running out. Both have shortbows ready.
Goblin 1 is 10ft away from Alaric, 20ft from the others.
Goblin 2 is 15ft away from Alaric, and 20ft from the others.
(Edit: Since Ereminus threw the stone before Alvara, they heard that sound first.)
Alaric will wait to see if they separate, or both move to the party.
[[ If they both head to the party, then he would like to maintain proximity to them while remaining in cover, if possible. I assume if he attacke from cover then his first attack will be with Advantage...if he has advantage and he risks losing it, he may be forced to attack early...
Worst case, he waits until they reach the party, then attacks from behind. ]]
After hearing the stick snap, one of the goblins whispers to the other. The first goblin starts running for the cave, while the second approaches the river.

I did say Alaric will attack if they separate...he'd like to attack the one heading to the cave if at all possible, preferably from stealth. Is that an option?
(OOC: I understand a map would help, but I am garbage at drawing maps, and uploading the image is hard. (For me, I probably do it wrong.) I'm sorry about that.)
Goblin 1, the runner, is heading toward Alaric, and is within 5ft of his hiding spot. He does not see you.
OOC: @Valen, if you use the "Combat" section of the dice roller, you don't have to make a separate roll for your attack. It does both the attack and the damage roll at once. :)
Ereminus's javelin, due to poor sight from lack of light, barely hits the goblin, striking him in the arm.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Aragorn:
Excellent! No problem with map. I was worried I'd be in a daft place!
Alaric attacks from cover, I assume with advantage on the first attack:
Attack 1: Attack: 19 Damage: 13
[[ Will do second attack after I see result of first ]]
Edit:
If he misses or it doesn't go down, then he will hit it again, otherwise attack 2 goes against the other Goblin. I assume the second attack does not have advantage and that he is still using a dagger. Not sure if any of the goblins has shortswords before.
Attack 2: Attack: 20 Damage: 1
[[ General question: If the first attack missed, does he get advantage or sneak on the second? ]]
Edit2: Just read about the quiet kill...not sure what it means...searching now
GUESSING it means I get advantage, so a small chance of a critical: Second raw D20 roll (since hover does not work): 16]]
OOC: The goblins from the ambush all had shortswords, so if you want to swap out your dagger real quick you can.
Alaric's blade mortally wounds the first goblin, who falls to the ground without a sound, while the next attack strikes a heavy blow into the second goblin, but the resilient creature doesn't give up yet.
OOC: No. Picture it this way, the two goblins are standing 15ft away from each other, somebody runs, and swings a sword at the first goblin, and misses. Both goblins now know you are here, so that would negate any sneak damage, and you would lose your advantage.
A tall, lean shadow runs out from a bush near the first goblin, the form strikes the goblin down, and runs for the second, he hits it, but doesn't deal a fatal blow.

Eraminus pitches a rock near outside the hut before ducking behind the tree once more. He grabs the javelin and waits.
Strength: 19

Aragorn:
He keeps close tabs on the guards, and checks again for any sign of an alarm system. Otherwise, he waits for the party to make some noise...
In case he gets bored...are there stones, sticks, or other items nearby that he might use to make a noise near the party? ;-)

Can Alaric intercept the one heading for the cave? Or it is more of a job for a javelin, interms of distance?

Alaric focuses his attention on the remaining goblin, blocking the goblins route to the cave.

Flint leaps to his feet and mutters an incantation. A blue flame-like radiance descends on the remaining goblin.
