Flint urgently makes his way to the human prisoner. He unbinds him and says, “Quite a mess you got yourself into, lad.” (Does Flint recognize him? Perception Check: 8 )
Flint looks the man over carefully, “I Ken yer hurt. How bad is it?”
Eraminus frowns and squats to get on the goblins level. He puts his hand axe away and draws his dagger, "Something tells me you are lying. Now I want you to think long and hard about your answer." He likely pokes his finger on the tip of the dagger but not hard enough to draw blood.
Yeemik squeaks at the sight of the blade. "NO! Me swears! Me tells the truth! Krok Lies all time, I tell him to quiet, me swears!" The other goblin, Krok, frowns.

Flint seeing his dire state, immediately casts Healing word on Sildar saying “Sildar…Sildar! Look at me. Stay with me, lad! It is all going to be fine.”
The goblin glances warily at Yeemik. "Yeemik has been trying to oust Klarg for several tendays, it started by using Barek to gather information, and our clan was about to start a war with Klarg's. That is until you came." The goblin has a deeper voice than Yeemik, and speaks common well.

Alaric grunts, then speaks angrily to Eraminus, "A word, if i may".
He draws him away and as he goes says in a voice loud enough for the goblins to hear, "Enough of this nonsense. We should just kill them and move on."
Then in hushed tones he adds a wink and says in a whisper, "Just some drama for you to work with. Let's have an argument and i can storm off... Then check Bareks side of things. What do you say?"
Eraminus winks back, "Why do all rogues and cut purses insist on killing the disarmed? They've got nothing to lose at this point!" He gave Alaric a light shove, "Just get out of here!"
Glad to see his comrade’s condition stabilized a bit, Flint puts a reassuring hand on Sildar’s shoulder and says, “Don’t worry, lad. Yer safe now. Can ye tell me a bit about what happened to ye? Do ye know where Gundren was taken?”

Standing close by, Alvara listens to the exchange with Yeemik and Krok, attempting to glean clues as to which goblin was most trustworthy.
Insight check:20
She coughs and clears her throat to stifle a laugh at the antics of Alaric and Eraminus. The two of them certainly sounded convincing, but having traveled with them for a while, she caught the gist of what they were trying to do. Alvara does her best to keep her face in a scowl.
Alaric: Barek looks up as Alaric peers over the pit. (For the sake of saving time, Alaric will have told Barek who they were negotiating with.) "Me no friends, but me helps. Krok be nice sometime, Yeemik not bad, but more bad then Krok."
Flint: Sildar raises a hand to his head. "Ouch, them goblins did a number on me, some bodyguard I am." Sildar is a balding man, around his late forties. His body is built like a soldier's, and his shirt has the emblem of Neverwinter on it. "We were riding on the trail near a week ago, when them nasty little buggers ambushed us on the road. On my honor, I did the best I could to defend Gundren, on my honor." He looks at Flint pleadingly. "I know not where they took Gundren, but I heard the messenger talk about a castle, but there isn't one around for nearly a tenday worth of travel. I think they wanted Gundren's map, and they seemed to know to look for it."
Alvara: Both goblins are partly telling the truth, but mixed with minor lies, such as "Krok lies all the time," or Yeemik is plotting something, mostly just lies to make one sound better than the other.

Alaric sighs, thinking worse than Krok...Yeemik needs to be killed, if these guys are not to be a menace. He turns back to Barek, "What can you tell me of the Black Spider?"

Flint does recognize him as Sildar Hallwinter, and it doesn't take an expert to tell he is near death.

Eraminus looks at the goblin, "Do any of you accompany the messenger with the prisoners when the Black Spider wants them?"
The other one opens his mouth, but Yeemik elbows him. "No, Black Spider only send his messengers, worse than Klarg they were."
