((Sorry, Alaric. I thought you were in the room with the rest of us. Here is my attempt to preserve continuity.))
Flint finishes speaking to Alaric, “…if ye can watch these ones here in the meantime.” Flint looks around, seeing Alaric nowhere in the room. Flint confusedly calls out “Alaric?...Alaric?” Slowly a smile materializes on Flint’s face and he says “Aye, he is a sneaky one that one.”
Flint watches the goblins like a hawk until Eraminus returns. Flint addresses Eraminus, “Good to see you still have all your fingers, lad. I think knocking them out is a good idea. Although, I think Alaric might want to give them a speech first.”
(( No worries... timezones can be a problem sometimes! ))
(( Alaric will run this by the party to make sure he's not saying anything they think is a bad idea ))
When they are assembled, Alaric will start by noting that they all are at our mercy, but that -- against his better judgement -- they are not going to be killed. "You have done nothing wrong but serve the wrong master, who took was stupid enough to take on the wrong people."
"We are strong, yet treat our prisoners fairly. Next time we meet, either run away or surrender. The alternative will be less pretty. But remember this: We protect our friends and are coming for them -- do not stand in our way. The Blck Spider is not worth dying for: next time we meet, the choice will be yours -- surrender, or die. Tell your friends."
(( This is intended to be a mixture of persuasion and intimidation, backed by the fearsome presences of Flint and Eraminus and the magical prowess of Alvara; so I am hoping for Advantage and Guidance on the rolls! But, even if all they do is repeat the words to their friends, then we (possibly) have a useful outcome. ))
(( Seeing as how Alaric was not very convincing with the intimidating aspects of his speech (11 total), perhaps Eraminus might interject with his own intimidating words!! ))
Eraminus steps forward, grabbing Yeemik by the throat and lifting him into the air, one handed, growling, "You better turn and run the next time I see you. All I want to sense of you is the smell of you defecating yourself in fear. If I do find you, your skull is going to become a mead tankard." He drops the goblin back onto the ground by loosening his drip deliberately.
As the cave comes into view for Alvara, she sees the wolves running out of it. She cheers internally, thinking that the party must have figured out how to safely liberate the wolves.
Hearing the words of Alaric and Eraminus as she approaches with Barek, she turns to the goblin and motions for him to stop just short of the group, "Psst... play along, Barek. Pretend we have badly injured you." She takes out a gold piece from her coin purse and slips it into Barek's hand before turning to cast Prestidigitation on the goblin. The spell effect soils him from head to toe in blood, grime and flecks of dirt.
Satisfied with her work, she takes out her quarterstaff and uses the end of it to push the very soiled Barek forwards into view of the others before stepping forward herself. "And let this one be an example of what we do to those who do not listen."

(( ooc: pretty persuasive though! Bloodied and grimy bodies help, I reckon. ))
Once the goblins have been lectured, and the stolen loot loaded on the cart, Alaric asks Flint to help him do a quick sweep of the place for any other items...then we leave!?!?
Flint is somewhat mesmerized by his companion’s performances. He is impressed. However, the scene also reminds him that he is an outsider. Flint has never spent time with people that are so comfortable with and capable of manipulation. The culture of the White Islands was one that valued earnest forthrightness and plain talk. He decides to stay quite during the final interactions with the goblins and happily helps Alaric search before leaving the cave.
Once out of the cave, Flint grimaces as he realizes that he still stinks like goblin. He turns to Alvara, “Any chance ye could rid me of this stench, lassie? If yer magic can make Barek filthy, maybe it can also do the opposite?”
"Ask and ye shall receive, Flint!" Alvara beams as she casts Prestidigitation on Flint, cleaning him as best as she can. She leaves a faint scent of sandalwood on him with the spell. "There you go... fresh as an autumn morning!"
She follows the others and looks to the sky, enjoying the sight after all the time in the cavern.

Flint takes a deep breath, clearly pleased with his new and improved state of being. He makes his way into the forest for a few moments and comes back with a few edible flowers. He hands them to Alvara, saying “I feel like a new Dwarf! Here are a few treats for Archimedes to help’em get over that cave.”
Flint takes point on helping the group get safely back to the wagons.

The goblins recoil in fear at the sight of Barek. "We swears on us lives, we never cross ye again!" Alvara can see Barek smiling slightly.

Eraminus waits by the cart, watching the group. He glances at Sildar, wondering what horrors of war the grizzled veteran has seen.
