From the sounds of it, the flame sphere is by Orc 5? That would mean Bernard wouldn't run to attack O3. Instead he waves his hand and marking the orc with magic. He then holds one sword in his left hand and the other under his arm. He draws a dagger and whips it at the orc in the same motion.

Combined effort cleared the desk a bit: Alyssa's light reached every creature, and judging by the scream of Orog, wounded even him, even if a little. Bernard's dagger found its target and not was stuck between two crud leather plates, with blood dripping from the wound beneath. Leon roasted almost every orc y one means or the other with Ramious simply smashing the enemy - for Orc 2 it was the last attack he saw.
Now it was the wildfolk turn.
Orog obviously gave up on the fighting - yelling something to his subordinates, he left the room. Fire sphere force the orcs to change their position: jumping and cursing they moved behind Leon and Ramious. Two beds and some wood boxes on the floor begun to burn and in this place fire was going to spread fast.
Leon found himself between Orc 5 and Orc 1 - barely wounded, while Ramious had to deal with Orc 3 (in a terrible shape) and Orc 4 (just scratched), flanking him. Happy with advantage, orcs attacked:
Orc5 vs Leon: 24 Damage: 4
Orc1 vs Leon: 21 Damage: 4
Orc3 vs Ramious: 20 Damage: 12
Orc4 vs Ramious: 25 Damage: 14
Ramious managed to practically escape, but Leon got seriously wounded. The smoke is coming from the flaming beds and soon it will be difficult to breath.

(We're playing with the optional flanking / advantage rules. Cool cool cool. Well, not for us at the moment, but, in general, good to know.)
Assuming Bernard has taken down Orc3, Ramious circles around Orc 4, his blade out, and when he's in the right position, flanking him with Leon, he strikes him.
Attack: 12 Damage: 14
Assuming the orc falls, he takes the rest of his movement away from the sphere and out after the Orog. Otherwise, he attempts to step far enough away from the flaming sphere not to take damage. (if this results in either a. fire damage from the sphere, then he's ok with it, heat doesn't bother him too much...though technically the spell says I have to end my turn there to take damage. or b. an AoO from Orc 1, Orc 5, or both, then ok)
(That was optional? I wonder if I ever learn all of this...)
The assumption is correct - already wounded Orc 3 dropped dead on spot. Orc 5 was luckier, and though wounded was still standing, and he did not miss his opportunity to get Ramious:
Orc5 vs Ramious: 11 Damage: 15
(Orc missed, obviously) and Orc4 was dead before he knew it. Does Ramious leave the room?
(There are only 2 orcs left - both flanking seriously wounded Leon)
(Leon can save the shield for the future, and it's my fault, I did not change Leon's HP last time he was wounded (he was at 20 for that strike and got to 9 with it but Alyssa restored him to full health) )
The orc4 - burned and cut - joined the bodies on the floor. As I understand it, Leon has to make the DC 13 Dex for half, or get 7 fire damage - he did end his turn in the area of Flaming Sphere.
The trash and beds on that side of the room begun to burn too - the boots are protecting everyone so far, but it want lust long. Smoke is getting into your lungs as well. Next round attacks are with disadvantage (3e rule, but can not find anything for 5e for smoke/fire)
The last standing orc5 tried his best to retaliate: Orc5 vs Leon: 15 Damage: 7 but fire and smoke made him miss.

Leon wouldn't be near the fire. The flames hit the orc and would be ten feet from Leon, on the far side of the orc from him. It does not occupy the same space as the orc, just the spot next to it.
(I hate that spell! So many questions and uncertainties!
You said: "ramming it into that orc" and "If you ram the Sphere into a creature ... the Sphere stops moving this turn". I read it as it stopped exactly in the same square as the creature (orc), it does not say "and then stopped on another unoccupied spot".
You can say you meant to place it behind the orc, but we have to clarify that "ram".
(OOC: For what it's worth, I determined the spell to mean it's a solid sphere, 5 feet in diameter, that's on fire. So, people can't run through it. So, it can't really share a space with someone. Ramming for me means placing it next to them, but "hitting" them with it, so you can't ram 5 people by putting it in between them for example....doesn't seem too bad that way. *shrug* )

(Sorry, no, "a 5-foot-diameter sphere of fire" does not sound like a solid object to me. Nor "ramming" as "ping-pong". You can not hit 5 people at once with it, but definitely can harm 8 if they happen to stay in a circle around one square and you just summoned the sphere.
At any rate, since now on by the combined rules of current and previous editions - it's a ball of fire, not solid, and when "rams" someone - occupies the same spot. (Just in case - since it can get over the barriers of 5ft, we can consider tiny creatures to be ignored for the movement - you can hit someone behind a halfling, should you choose so.)
Because we did not settle it up before the move, consider Leon unharmed by the sphere.
Does Leon use the Shield or wants to save it for the future? He is perfectly healthy either way.
Leon sends his flaming sphere in to strike another of the orcs, going for one away from Ramious so not to burn him as well.
DC 13 dex or take 5 fire. Half on a save.
Leon himself move to Ramious's other side and strikes at an orc there...
green flame blade
Attack: 11 Damage: 14
If it hits it does 3 fire damage to the orc next to it.
If the orc(s) don't move away from the ball of fire before the end of their turn they have:
Dex DC 13 for half, 3 fire.

DC 13 Dex for half, 5 fire.
He then strikes at the same orc with his greatsword.
