Nobody and nothing attacked you on the the way up. The platform, you are standing on now, is definitely the part of the big cave you came from - same natural phosphorescence, same crystals glimmer softly in the eerie light. Weird, beautiful flows and structures of delicate stone grace the chamber.
A couple dozen large stone sepulchres line the cavern walls, each carved with intricate reliefs and designs and marked with Dwarvish runes. Twenty-three sepulchres stand here, each one is a marble vault 6 feet long, 4 feet high, and 3 feet wide, with a heavy stone lid. The lids are carved in the likenesses of grim dwarves in armour. Dwarvish runes on the front of each tomb appear to represent the names of the occupants or the intended occupants. Three of the stone coffins have additional runes carved into them.
Alyssa and Bernard realized, the runes are not that ancient, they actually can read them:
The names on these three sepulchres are those of Borgol the Old, Gharin Orc-Doom, and Numik the Unlucky.
The runes record the date of death and the great deeds of each dwarf, that is laying here, performed in life. Also carved into these three coffins is a warning that doom awaits any who dare to defile the honourable dead.
Interestingly, there is not a trace of troglodytes presence here, as if they never set foot in this place. The is an exit to the north - most likely leading to the cave you already saw, and to the west - something like an opening, but blocked by rocks and mud, making this spot sorely standing out in contrast to the soft fluorescent beauty of the big cave walls.
Alyssa would take in the view of the cave from this perspective, a smile tugging at her cheeks. After a few moments she'd turn around to take a closer look at the muddy wall before looking at the boys. "Any thoughts while we are up here?" The cleric personally wasn't interested in snooping through the tombs.
Ramious sat down heavily with a huff, placing his bag to one side, his rapier sheath pushed forward so it doesn't lean oddly. He examined the wrappings on his wounds that had been applied, then began taking off a boot. Once the fur lined boot was off, he shook it upside down as a small number of rocks come tumbling out. "The earth elementals are up to their tricks again, sneaking rocks in my boots." He grins.
He leans back, stretching his legs out, and then eventually lays on his back. He squirms a bit, then reaches a hand behind him and scoops out some small rocks. Then, seemingly comfortable he just stares at the ceiling in silence for a few moments.
"Maybe we eat some lunch here....then try and dig out that collapsed bit there? But...seems like there's lots of places to go around in these caves. This is pretty cool. They don't talk about places like this in the mucky alleys. Back in Waterdeep, heaven was a dusty room with a soft bed. Nope...they don't talk about places like this much at all...."
Hey lays on his back enjoying the view, and then takes a moment to pull out some crackers and dried jerky and sets about eating.

"Break seems like a good idea." Leon agrees, taking a seat. He pulls out some rations as well and munches as his eyes scan the dwarven tombs. After he is done eating he will cast detect magic as a ritual and wander around the tombs to see if anything gives off the glow of magic.
"Break sounds good," Bernard says. He drops his pack but keeps his bow and an arriw near. He begins to pull out a ration and is soon munching on some dry meat. "Ya, know. Offer still stands if anyone needs to be patched up. If not than all the more reason to be impressed. Not many can wrestle a bear and survive unmaimed..."
He similarly layer down on the ground staring up. "You're right about this being a rare place. I wonder if the fey had anything to deal with it?" He held up his finger and watched a few of his fey bugs crawl on it. "You've never been here right... Thought not."
Ramious shrugs, "I'll be alright. Thanks for the offer though. I'm used to gettin beat up. This one time, in this bar in the harbor ward, I got in two bar fights at the same bar, on the same day. I've had this weird pain in my hip since then. A goliath threw me through the front window and some glass cut me pretty good right into my hip. Glass'll ruin your day it will."
He watches Leon move about the tombs curiously but make no move to stop him.

Despite the warnings, Leon does not feel any magic coming out of the tombs - malicious or otherwise. In fact, everything outside seems to be either natural or hand-crafted with not a drop of magic in it.
Leon shrugs and returns to the others. "I don't see any reason to disturb the dead, magic protections or not, but it is good to know we are safe to rest here, without any magical traps being sprung on us." he would finish his rest then be prepared to help dig out the strange passage.
Ramious stands up after they've had their short rest. "Well....time to get our hands dirty..." He wanders over to the cave in area and begins seeing if it's possible to dig it out. As he tosses boulders back across the ground and digs through muck he says, "You know, this is like, one of those...symbolic things about your life. I could just walk over there down that other open tunnel over there, but instead I'm standin over here diggin through the muck. And why? Cause I'm too stubborn and curious for my own good. I heard this thing once about curiosity and cats, and I was like, ya, that's me....and I think I've probably used up 8 of my 9 lives...."

When Ramious would empty his boots of rocks and comment about the earth elementals, Alyssa was half tempted to use her magic to ripple the ground beneath him and bugs when they lay down. She'd decide to spare both him and Bugs, this time. Though, putting rocks in their tiefling's shoes in the future wasn't off the table. Snickering to herself, the elf will pad past them to take a seat on the ledge, taking in the full scenery of the cave. She'll help herself to her own rations.
During the break, Alyssa would pull out her notebook to update their map as well as throw in a few detailed notes and sketches of the area. As the guys pattered on, her ears would twitch occasionally as she'd listen, her eyes focused and hands sketching across her page, one after another. She enjoyed the company and the stories.
Eventually, when Rami decided it was time to start poking and prodding at the wall, Alyssa would pick herself up off the ground chuckling at his own comment. He was right about the 'easier path' being very close by. But what fun was in that? With a smirk, the archaeologist will come over and place her hands on her hips to watch over their digging tiefling. "Let's work on preserving what you got left hmm?" Tilting her head to the side, the elf will place a hand on his arm so he'd make some room to let her take a closer look.
With experienced eyes Alyssa would look for the weakest point, considering that the moisture level here could indicate water, she'd imagine the path in which they should dig. This would be to ensure safety as they'd make their way into the next area. Although she could use her magic to do the work, she'd point out the spots for Ramious to dig out. If it was difficult she'd assist with her magic. The wizard would be prepared to react with her spell as well should anything bad were to occur.
Spell: Mold Earth She'd be watching out for cave in/mudslide/rushing water
All depends how excavation was handled. The lower part of the plug is thicker, the upper - more loose and quite dry. Alyssa could sense it well enough. If only upper part is dug out (no small feat - the wall of loose ground is 10 feet across) all of you can see a big dark cave (fluorescent fungus here barely survives closer to the ceiling in scarce patches). The ceiling must be thirty feet overhead, and the far end of the cave is lost in darkness. A foul stench assaults your nostrils immediately. The remnants of butchered game animals hang from crude wooden stakes along the cavern walls, and you spot a pair of orc corpses treated in the same fashion.
Between you and the rest of the cave is a pool of dark cold water about 20 feet across. The stream flows through it and through the centre of the cavern.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ramious crawls out from the gap after looking around, holding his nose. "I suspect that's where the Trog's keep their kills. Disgusting. Our dirty work is never done though, so let's go."
Ramious crawls through, and guards the spot until the rest of the group clambers through the opening they've made. Then he moves forward. He kicks over bodies and uses his blade to poke and move meat as he creeps through the room looking for any potential treasures, but otherwise, after a short time looking around, heads to the passage he spots on the far side.
There is a narrow ledge running around that artificial pool but for the proper investigation you would have to cross the stream.
There are no visible entrances here - the stream runs from north to south through the passages only 3-4 feet high, whoever enters this way would have to practically dive into the water. There are some nooks here and there, and on the west wall (more like south-west) - opposite to the side you came from - something that does resemble a real corridor, but it ends up with the plug made of mud and wattle. Might be movable, judging by the look of it.
Aside from the dead bodies of all kind of creature, nothing stands out in the cave, might as well be what it looks like - a food storage room.
Alyssa would offer Bugs or Leon to follow Ramious in first, if they'd like. She'd wait for some air to exchange rooms and use her magic to toss out poufs of scents to try to neutralize as much of it as possible. She'd follow through when they were ready to move on to the next area.
"Do we want to check that... Do you all want me to check that?" Bernard asks after enough rubble has been moved. He looks cautiously at the water and unconsciously shivered.
Ramious looks at Bernard, "The water? Uh, well, I mean. If yer offering." He grins. "I just remember the last pool we peeked in. Remember that one Leon? Sure Bugs, just...be careful." Ramious pulls out his sword and covers him while he checks it out.
