Nenne walks over to the fighter and kneels beside him, groaning as she bends. She takes a minute to inspect his injury (Medicine 25) and binds his wounds as best she can. Upon spotting his dented armor, she puts her hand on the chest plate and, shortly thereafter, restores it to normal. "As ever, you are hardy and brave, warrior."
During the break Allister talks to Orvex. He has done that a lot lately, sometimes you see them practice hiding, subtle hand movements and fake ambushes.
Ooc: that is just some RP because I want to multiclass into Rogue, and having a coach available is a much better than simply being able to do all the roguish stuff all the sudden.
Allister comes to realize that there is a lot he could learn from Orvex. The old man is quite skilled with his hands and the more subtle arts. Nearly a half hour later, several people and six skeletons step into view. There are six men who are obviously warriors all wearing chain shirts and a black tabards bearing an intricate design. The skeletons carry bone shortbows and appear to be commanded by a robed man in the center of all of the company. His red robe is tightly cinched around his this waist and his black hair is cropped short with a small goatee. He looks the party over, halting the skeletons some distance back, and scowls when he sees a waving Orvex. He speaks in the common tongue is a voice that borders on the edge of being called 'nasally', "I suspect you all are the reason for all the commotion? What are you doing here in this place?"
Nenne, who was sitting with her back against the wall and meditating peacefully, opens her eyes to find half a dozen armed undead before her, accompanying another half-dozen warriors. She pastes a neutral expression on her face before her revulsion gets the better of her, knowing she and her friends are in no shape to make quick enemies.
She nods politely at the speaker. "Peace to you. The source of the commotion was actually that creature." She gestures to the frog's corpse. "We were simply exploring the grounds when it attacked, unprovoked. A surprising toll for us to pay in order to satisfy our curiosity about this building, but we all survived to tell the tale, so I suppose we cannot complain. Forgive my manners, I am Nenne Amharat. With whom am I making this acquaintance?"
The man crossed his arms and replies, "Dyrax." He grins and adds, "Chult is full of things that attack unprovoked. Perhaps a word of caution is advisable." He motions to the direction he came from and three more robes figures step out into the open. These figures bear the bald heads and tribal tattoos typical of the Thayan red wizards. "Allow me to introduce Thazma, Yamoch, and Zagmira." Thazma and Zagmira are female; there can be no doubt that the later leads the group. As she approaches, her companions give her a wide berth and nods of respect. The woman appears to be in her late teens.
“Pleased to make your acquaintance! Orvex has mentioned that he came with red mages, though suspected they might’ve perished in the same attack that had left him stranded where we’d found him,” Sthara says looking to Orvex, “I am sure he is pleased to see you. I am Sthara Izhsoan. Have you had much success in your exploration of the city?”
“Hail and we’ll met! Apologies about the noise, we weren’t expecting a creature such as this,” and Boosey points to the frog, “to attack us unprovoked. We were actually looking for a safe place to camp in this city. We found Orvex here under a pile of rocks, half dead, though he seems to be recovering.”
The gnome stands painfully and holds out his hand to the newcomer. “Boosey Sackbut, pleased to meet you I’m afraid we got hopelessly lost in the jungle. We were on our way to Hrakhamer to help the Dwarfs there with some mining issues, and have somehow ended up here The city looked safer than the jungle,” he looks at the frog again, “I doubt that it is, now”
Zagmira closes the distance to a gap of 40 feet, but comes no closer. From this distance, one can see that one half of her face is wizened and old. The girl curls a lip up in disgust as Sthara speaks. She replies condescendingly, "Do you take me for a fool? I'll not be swayed by your charms and seduction magics. Keep your distance Sthara Izhsoan, if that even is your name." She gestures harshly to the rest of the party and says, "Do you even know!? Are they all under your spell or just their leader?" This one, "she points to Boosey and continues, "You say you stumbled here. Are you sure it was by accident and not lead here to become a slave for the city's inhabitants?" She turns back to Sthara and says accusingly, "How many slaves does Ras Nsi have now? Twenty? One hundred?" She makes a sound of disgust and readies herself for any sign of physical backlash.
Boosey looks a little taken aback. “I’m sorry you are angry with us, though I cannot be sure why. Please be assured we bear no ill towards you and your folk.” He shrugs. “We are just travelers in a hostile land.”
Nenne shoots a frown at Sthara, unsure of what transpired, before shifting her gaze to Zagmira. Her tone and expression are perfectly calm, even more so than before. "Forgive my friends for any ill-considered behaviors," she says, inclining her head apologetically at the woman. "This jungle and our creature encounter has left some of them on edge. As for our purpose here, I can assure you that we've no desire or intention of becoming anyone's slave. As for the inhabitants, we have yet to meet one, for we are recently arrived. Who are they, if you would be so kind as to indulge my ignorance?"
Zagmira stands with her mouth open in shock for a moment, returns a second hateful glare at Sthara and replies to Nenne, "Then you don't know. This city is overrun by her kind and Ras Nsi's undead minions. The warlord has given all of them enough authority to warp the minds of any they meet and bring them back as slaves. Come now. How far are your minds ruined that you cannot see through whatever lies Stharais telling you." She basically spits out the sorceress's name. It's obvious she has a clear hatred for yuan-ti and she wears it openly.
Orvex stands from his seated position and stammers, "I-I-If I may interject lady. I do not believe this woman is aligned with the inhabitants of this city." He bows his head slightly as Zagmira turns her attention towards him. She returns a skeptical stare to Sthara.

Allister stands up and positions himself next to Sthara. "OK, lady, kick it down a notch. We have been traveling for more than three months. Do you think she would be able to keep our minds under control for so long without anyone ever having a clue that we are under her spell? If she is soo powerful, maybe you should change your tone because she could enthrall each of you. She is an outcast of her society. And here is another thought for you. If she was a servant of Ras Nsi, why is she the only Yuan-Ti pureblood here? Where are the other minions? As you have experienced yourself, yuan-ti come in groups..."
Nenne arches a silver eyebrow at the red mage. "Elven minds are not so easily warped," she replies matter-of-factly. She taps her holy symbol lightly. "And I already have a master. He would hardly allow me to fall prey to a lowly undead, let alone a would-be rival."
"Three months? That is quite interesting. One of his own who doesn't follow his order?" Zagmira cups her chin in deep contemplation at the revealing news and seems to have lost a bit of her edge.
Lemon steps forth. "I know what ye mean lady." He spreads out his arms into the open air, "Before I met these people meer days ago, I was jus' huntin' down Yuan-ti and ghouls meself!" He pats Sthara on the shoulder, "Howev'er, me mind and body learned that this 'er one be good!" He leans in, and to make the the distance between of them work, he gives a loud playful whisper, then a hearty laugh. "She takin' none of me food as well so that is always a bonus! Hahaha!"
Lemon takes his hand of of Sthara and just looks onwards to the unique grouo before them. "How 'bout we just all sit down, take a short break, and clear things up between 'rselves before we be rushin' to conclusions and biten' at one anothers' backs! We be in stock of berries if ye need some!" He gives a smile, trying to lighten the tension and atmosphere within the area.
Zagmira gives Lemon an incredulous look before addressing Allister and Nenne, "Tell me: When are you leaving the city? What is your stance on the yuan-ti incursion here? Are you lot willing to cut the head off the snake?" She cannot suppress a slight grin and a short look to Sthara as she says this last bit.
"I can´t speak for everyone but I plan on leaving as soon as I am sure there is no more easy loot to get. We have had some unpleasant encounters, none of which we couldn´t beat. But I want to see some reward for my pain. As far as these snakes go, I don´t give a shit what happens to them. Orvex told me they are pretty ruthless, so I wouldn´t mind killing any of them."
