Funderburk leans back to respond to Sthara, "You are right. This is exciting. I wish I brought Dunk just so she too may see all this unfold."
Funderburk listens to everything unfold, the demands given, and even the option of putting Liara in the cell. Calmed down now from the raging emotions he had earlier, Funderburk looked at Liara with disgust, then at his friends. "I also motion for holding her in the cell. However, proper interrogation should not exceed normal humane reasons. I can reach out with my mind and read her thoughts. I suggest if she is willing to, have Zone of Truth also on Liara that way we are able to obtain everything."
He looks back at Liara, "There should be no barging. You had yours with pirates, and you lost." With this piece of information he adds for Nenne, "Justice deals not with the enemy. Neither shall we." With that last thought given, he heads towards the room, waiting to see if everyone agreed on the interrogation.
"Gruta and Funderburk are right. Funderburk, Gruta and I should search the room. Funderburk might find magic we overlook otherwise. Gruta´s presence will give us official support, and I could identify items or documents related to the pirates. Agreed?"
"Hmm. Alright then, I'll go." Funderburk follows, the three of them headed towards Liara's chambers.
Upon entering, he noticed his friends scanning the room, hoping to find anything. With a thought in mind he told his companions, "Hold on for but a second friends, let me detect if there is any magic in this area."
Funderburk feels the magical presence of a small object in a nightstand over by the bed. Inside the nightstand are two hefty sacks of coin, but the presence comes from under a false bottom to the drawer. Inside the cavity is a palm-sized, flat stone that has a face carved onto one of the side. The three of you tear the room apart further, but only find official Flaming Fist paperwork, which Gruta can attest for. //430 gold\\
Funderburk, picking up the rock, and taking his share of the money, inspects the rock closely. "I will hold onto the rock for now. Will be a great tool when interrogating Liara. Will put her mind on the matter." With that, he also collects the papers, "Let us gives these to Gruta; the gold we can split evenly amongst ourselves. Unless..." He gives a sly look, "someone does not want their share of course." With that Funderburk leaves the room, heading back to where Liara and Gruta are. "Here are some papers Miss Gruta. We found them while inspecting Liara's quarters." He looks towards Liara, "If we may begin the interrogating, I will like to start by leading with the questions. Any objections?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Funderburk, perhaps I join you in questioning. I have been told that I am quite...persuasive," Sthara says, reveling her viper-like canines with a grin.
"Woman, do you believe in any gods? Really believe in them?"
As the others are busy searching Liara's rooms, Boosey continues trying to get names from her with Funderburk and Sthara. "Is there anything you want to say to us? As you can see, I'm far more reasonable than some of my friends, it's in your interests to give us the information we ask for." He leaves the "or else" unsaid, instead fixing her with a menacing grin again. As Sthara interjects "See!"
"Human woman, your stench has been in my nose since we have arrived here–you are not in a bargaining position and you are delaying my journey, owasemzini." Sthara speaks with venom and actually spits some too at the woman's feet.
She focuses in on the pearl around her neck and speaks, staring daggers into Liara, "You will answer all questions we have truthfully and fully, and heed all requests as though you were a close friend of each of us." (suggestion)
Shaking her head in the universal sign for no, Liara says, "Yes, I find that most agreeable." as she takes on a dull look and sways slightly back and forth in time with Sthara's hips and shoulders.
With Boosey eying menacingly behind him, Funderburk takes a step towards Liara. "Let us begin with this question Liara." With that, Funderburk brings forth the carved stone, "What is this, what does it represent, and what does it do? Do you also know where you obtained it?" He lets the question sink in, hoping to find more about the object that he had previously discovered from their meeting that seemed so long ago now.
Liara motions casually, saying, "That is a sending stone. You can use it to talk to people over great distances. I use it to talk to the pirate Laskilar. I obtained the stones from a merchant here in the bazaar."
"Just hold the stone close and speak into it. The first twenty five words you say will be transmitted to the other stone if it is being held by another."

"I agree. We will pull from her what we need. I will take first watch of her." Sthara crosses her arms and stands, waiting for who will join her.

Funderburk begins to cast Detect Magic.

Meanwhile Allister walks around the fort to see if anyone has found out about Liara‘s arrest and what the general mood is
If anything has upset the balance of the fort, Allister doesn't see it. Everything seems to be running smoothly as far as the fighter can tell.

Liara simply states that she will speak when her terms are agreed to.

Funderburk, surprised, stood there for a moment speechless. "How may I use it?"

"Just hold the stone close and speak into it. The first twenty five words you say will be transmitted to the other stone if it is being held by another."
"Why do you need to speak with this pirate Captain?"
"To inform him of where Horace is patrolling, of course."
"Are there any others here in the Fort that work with you and the pirates? Any magic users?"
