"I am in agreement with Allister. This is foolish. He has even mentioned some of what is going on here. Whether or not the ring they sought is here, he has noted value in the temples of Omu and I believe we should hear more about them."
Sthara adjusts her attention to Boosey. "What is it that the blue one speaks of? What magic ails you?"
Showing visible displeasement, sarcastically raises his hands defensively. "I'm sorry if I am the only one who finds this all odd. What? He mentioned three red wizards, but the third one not to be found and we are supposed to just forego that information? What says he was not one and was just blasted back to have the rubble collapses on himself. I am terribly sorry to NOT IMMEDIATELY trusting this man just because of a simple story. I shall leave now to your endeavors and come back when all of us have calmed down."
With that, Funderburk walked away. Giving a last glance at the mystery man before he left, Funderburk went to work on just going further ahead upwards to about 50ft from the party to investigate the damages and if anything had happened.
"Seeing as you asked so nicely," Boosey says to Funderburk, "feel free to identify away. I have suspected something of the sort for some time. What it is, I can only guess at, although I do have some suspicions that necromancy is involved." He looks to the man who they pulled from the rubble. "As for you, how did you come to be involved with the Red Wizards, I wonder? Any friend of theirs I cannot trust, no matter how jovial they seem, though he may be of use. We should be prepared for him to betray us, or worse."
“I didn’t say we invite him to our family dinners but what is so unusual about his story? We see snake marks, he admitted to traveling with Red Wizards, which no one in his right mind would do to strangers if he knew about their foul reputation, he suffered injuries from the falling debris. You think he killed the wizards, piled up the rubble and crept under it?“
Orvex nods and gestures to Allister encouraging his words. After the fighter is done speaking he adds, "If it helps, I doubt I could even move one of these rocks on my own, much less pile them up on top of myself. My home is in Thay...I suppose the country has a certain reputation for certain travesties around the world, but I am not Thay. I am a dedicated scribe and seeker of knowledge past and present. I jumped at the opportunity to seek out ruins in Chult, even if that meant I might never get the chance."
"Anyone who has business here is suspicious, and that includes us," Nenne says quietly to Allister. "This place is fit for no one."
"I admit, I am surprised you would wish to join forces with us without even knowing our names or our mission here, friend poet," she inclines her head. Her tone is polite and, though not as welcoming as usual, offers no hint of hostility. "However, anyone who has survived the journey to this wretched place knows well that solitude is dangerous. I can respect that motivation wholeheartedly. Please excuse our friends. They can be...less than diplomatic. And please forgive my manners, for I have allowed my concern for my friends' welfare to cloud me. I am Nenne Amharat, cleric of Kelemvor. May I ask you - how long ago did you arrive?"
Funderburk, walking back to inspect and cast his spell on Boosey, ignored Allister and the man especially. However, he did mumble that he said blasted into the wall, not purposefully put himself underneath it. He decided to drop his previous spell, more than likely already expired by now anyways, and decided to cast a ritual on Boosey to inspect the ales that are within his body.
Orvex puffs out his chest and replies to Nenne, "I have been in Chult for one hundred and eighty two days and have seen fourteen ruins. Mind you this does not include this city. This....Omu." He says the last word with reverence as he looks around the cityscape.
“Just out of curiosity, have ever met an elven wizard lady In Chult? Haughty, arrogant...“ Allister continues to describe Valindra without saying her name.
Funderburk looks to both Boosey and Nenne, shaking his head. "All I can find that is going on within him is just traces of some magic. I cannot tell what spells or even what school. What is going on with him," with that he puts a hand on the gnome, "with you... I know not. We can only hope it is not fatal."
Orvex shakes his and begins to relate a story of an elf he once met at a tavern back in Thay. His story dies away as it is clear his story means nothing to these five companions.
Nenne's skin deepens slightly at the awe Orvex displays for a city so steeped in evil. "Fourteen ruins?" she echoes, politely curious. "That is quite the extraordinary pilgrimage. I take it you've already seen Mezro, Orolunga?"
Upon hearing Funderburk's pronouncement about Boosey's health, she frowns at him for his lack of bedside manner and says to the bard, "I will attend to you later. Do not worry. I have not forgotten my promise."
„Ok, we still haven’t achieved what set out to, finding a good spot to lay low and get comfortable. Nenne, do you remember seeing any other buildings you thought suitable for our needs?“
Smiling from ear to ear again, Orvex says back to the cleric, "Ahh, yes. Both were magnificent, though I was not able to get into Orolunga. It is warded heavily. The ruins around the temple were amazing." His tone is wistful and appreciative. "I would chance a harpy's den for the chance to see inside the place, but I fear it isn't in the cards for me."
„It’s an option we should consider. But let us search the bodies for information or valuables first. But wait, I already did that. Guess what? Someone already looted them and stripped them clean. Maybe Orvex has all that stuff hidden on his body.“ Alliste makes a show of frisking him. „Or maybe they knew we were coming this way before we did, set up this whole charade, and his secret allies ran off with the goods instead of ambushing us.“ He looks directly at Funderburk. „Or what happened here? Orvex isn’t even a wizard, look at his head. He is neither shaven nor tattooed as any Red Wizard is. You have any theories you wanna share?“
Orvex nods to Sthara saying, "I have seen four now. There is one directly east of here in a circular building near the lava pit and one directly west behind the walled compound."

Allister walks to Nenne and whispers something to her.
@Nenne
„Thank you for resolving this mess. Even though it must´ve been difficult.“
„Call me Allister, and you have a lot to tell us.“
Orvex puffs out his chest and replies to Nenne, "I have been in Chult for one hundred and eighty two days and have seen fourteen ruins. Mind you this does not include this city. This....Omu." He says the last word with reverence as he looks around the cityscape.

Boosey gives Orvex a long flat look. "Very well, sir scribe. My name is Boosey, and I trust you as far as I can throw you."
Smiling from ear to ear again, Orvex says back to the cleric, "Ahh, yes. Both were magnificent, though I was not able to get into Orolunga. It is warded heavily. Orvex interrupts with a quick, "If I may....The temples are quite sturdy and defensible, though I have not been inside any as of yet."
Upon the mention of the temples, Sthara interjects. "Do you know where they are? Can you take us to one? My name is Sthara, by the way."
„It’s an option we should consider. But let us search the bodies for information or valuables first. But wait, I already did that. Guess what? Someone already looted them and stripped them clean.
