The man tries to get to his feet but fails, he doesn't seem to have the strength to do so. His eyes still dart around the party looking curiously from you to Gauldring who are the nearest to him, Then suddenly he turns to look behind him where everyone see Xenruth receiving the shock from having triggered the trap!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
The right dusty door is still locked. The left trapped door is unlocked but still has a shocking grasp trap.
Everyone
The man is completely shaken by things that have been done to him and things that he's seen, he does not seem to be very reliable to question just yet.
For the sake of the story moving quicker than usual...
Gauldring & Professor
You can hear the grunts of something in the corridor now and you're vaguely sure even if not understanding Orc that these are a group of Orc's coming to check up on their missing comrade.
Elly & Zillah
The man looks less fearful of you too but the men are making him extremely weary but he asks "Is there any food or water you can spare," he asks his accent still foreign and his tone raspy.
Shadow, Kohl, & Xenruth
You three are together around the doors trying to riddle out which to take and how to leave the dungeon to move on.
I will again attempt to speak to the party telepathically, unsure whether they will 'accept the call' so to speak, and say "Quiet, there is a group of orcs approaching. Fight or flee, choose quickly".
And then I will prepare to cast Eldritch Blast at the first orc that dare's poke its head into this room.
Xenruth
You are unsuccessful. You trigger a shocking grasp spell and take 3 point of damage!
Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
"I can't seem to disable this. We may just have to avoid it."Xenruth
Make sure you're tracking your HP on your character sheet
Spellcasters
Make sure you're keeping up with spell usage!!

I tell the man, "we won't. Can you tell us anything about this place?"
Elly- Gnome Cleric The Black Maze
I sheathe my sword, trying to look the least menacing I possibly can, and step into the shadows.
"The hero sought to save the world.
"If I keep trying, I'll be able to win," the hero thought.
But the harder the hero fought, the further the world seemed to tumble away.
Drowning in doubt, the hero could not even save themselves.
Hero, if you still believe in a brighter future, hold in your heart a thorn that can pierce all doubt."
~ Guild Wars 2
"It's alright, yer among friends now"

(I didn't know I'd taken damage at first, so scratch that last post. I did just lose half my hit points, though...)
Xenruth grimaces, saying "I'm okay". When gets back up, he stumbles, falling on the floor.
I go to Xenruth and cast Cure wounds on him.
He heals 12 points.
Elly- Gnome Cleric The Black Maze
{I have check on here like 7 times today and didn't see anyone's posts}.
Zillah kneels down next to him, "can we help you up, friend?"
Zillah Karai, Teifling Warlock (The Black Maze)
Elliot, teifling sorcerer/ Azriah, Changling Bard/ Freyr Rayn, Human Cleric (Order of the sleeping dragon)
I will try to use mage hand to open the unlocked and now-hopefully-trap-free door, while standing back away from it just in case.
"Xenruth, the other door is locked but not trapped, could you unlock it please?"
Professor
