Alcove was the locked door on the right that was opened by Xenruth, the left door is unlocked but trapped with shocking grasp! Are you charging the trapped door?

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
You successfully 'stick' your landing and are still on your feet after the shock! It's not a room however but an open air courtyard and above is a starry night sky. Do you call your comrades to enter or investigate?

The moon you remember the night before on your travels to Carrowkeel was first quarter but you know that waxing crescent is the next phase in the lunar calender.

The courtyard is a night garden with fragrant flowers and alien looking plants in dark almost black hues lit by moon as well as starlight. There are eight sides to the octagon with four doors interchanged with statues but a babbling fountain stands at the center. The four doors, including the one behind you, look like they're made of the same material the thick darkwood the statues are finely crafted white veined black marble.

Shadow checks the wall near the secret passage, is the door still there? Investigation: 10 does the secret door lead towards the courtyard or away from it? Either way, I'm still marking arrows on the walls with chalk pointing back the way we came. Also, are the skeletons in the dungeon area still dancing?
The skeletons are still and have been since before the knight fell. The door is no longer there as if it was never there to begin with!

Gauldring successfully opened the shocking grasp door using himself as a battering ram! The courtyard could use more checks before proceeding through it.

From what you can see it just appears to be an open-air courtyard shaped like an octagon dimly lit by a waxing moon and the stars.

"The hero sought to save the world.
"If I keep trying, I'll be able to win," the hero thought.
But the harder the hero fought, the further the world seemed to tumble away.
Drowning in doubt, the hero could not even save themselves.
Hero, if you still believe in a brighter future, hold in your heart a thorn that can pierce all doubt."
