It's now time to start. here's the setting: 10 Years ago, AT 397, The city of Nightvale, in the highlands, was ransacked by a pack of half-orcs, under their leader, the orc-chieftain; Krognack the red-handed. He ruled through strength, cruelty, and fear. Nightvale was without it's champion defender, Tim the Enchanter, their ruler. He had been slain a few months before by a mythical creature whom none had seen, and had never seen the likes of, and even his powerful spells were useless against it. Their only other hope lay in his son, Tim the Blacc, a young and promising wizard, however he was off, studying under the famous Spellmaster, the most powerful wizard in the land, Thaklmir the wise, in his enchanted lodestone tower, which some claim is indestructable. The army though strong was of no avail, causing only a minor delay for some of the citizens to escape the slaughter. By the time the news had reached their allies, the dwarves of motherlode, it was too late, the massive, mighty army of Sundale had driven the orcs out of the region, not through battle, but through intimidation. The survivors wandered and scattered, some remaining in the ruined city, others building habitations in Sundale, or living with the dwarves. In this year, following the death of his master in a tragic spellcasting accident, Tim the Blacc returned to his despoiled hometown, along with some close friends, who were now fully grown. They had sworn revenge upon those foul orcs who had ruined their lives, now bolstered by a powerful wizard, leader and friend, the were ready to embark upon their quest.

When the dungeon master speaks, it will be in italics, please have your player actions in italics too please.
On a cold October day, you have gathered in the heart of the despoiled city with your friends, who have gathered from far and wide for this occasion. A chilling wind seems to flow through the town, whispering and moaning like trapped souls. There is a feeling of sadness in your hearts as you once again witness the desolation of your beloved town. You remind yourself of your oath to remove all the participants in this heinous deed from the face of the earth. Bleached skeletons lay on the ground and the sides of the road. You reach the old town hall, You enter the meeting chamber .Then, Tim the wizard speaks "Where to now?" and unfurls a map of the territory. (Options include anything on this map I have made... These half-orcs are notorious in these lands and others, Pick a location and you will travel there, uncovering clues on the whereabouts of these foul foes)
If you have any questions about the locations, just ask me about it. The location with the most votes from the characters is the one that will be traveled to. Please roleplay when making your suggestions. Note: Cities and commerce hubs will contain more information, and possibly bandits, Smaller towns and rural areas may have fresher news. POI's may have tracks and stuff
Wilm looks over the map with a shrug, not really caring where they go next. "I am here to destroy those who did this." He tells the group. "Point me towards our enemies and I will do what I came here to do." He nearly yanks his greatsword from its sheath as he speaks, but slams it home again as he stalks around the hall.
(I cannot use the italics, bold, color, etc features of the toolbar, so won't be able to adjust the text. Hope that works for you.)
(Also, It sometimes works better if you create an OOC PM for the group, and let them know that you are ready for business here in the forum. Many of the players may not realize you are running it in the same forum you did the recruiting.)
then we will keep it here, this is going to have high difficulty, and we're going to need everybody.
From now on please stay in character, Use the PM for OOC questions and messages.

Tim gravely replies " The political situation in sundale is unstable at this time, we may be drawn into conflict there, The information we can learn there is essential, though, it being the largest city and commerce hub. Sundale is a good choice. I will go wherever."

"Then it is decided, we leave at once", Tim says. The trek is long and arduous, and the hills provide difficult terrain to cross, Sundale is a 3 day journey, and as dusk falls, they notice a light glimmering in a small patch of trees about a hundred feet off.

You suceed the stealth check, roll a perception or investigation check to get see what's going on there. You may then ask me 3 questions about the clearing, if it's something that I cannot tell you, I will say unanswerable, and grant you a bonus question
"Come on, get done with it..." Wilm growls under his breath as he waits for their companion to return from his scouting. He has his hand up to where the hilt of his greatsword juts up above his shoulder, ready to be drawn from its sheath. His hand grips and loosens, grips and loosens, barely restraining himself from drawing the blade and starting the song of steel.
There are 6 creatures around a fire, the look about the same size as humans, and they appear to be cooking something. You can't tell what they are, but they seem to be up to no good

"Sundale is as good as any." Wilm agrees with a nod to the group. He continues his pacing, like a caged animal barely restrained and ready to go.
Hilda nods in agreement, pointing in the direction of the city. "Then we depart for Sundale!"
