"Jahren casts Enhance Ability on himself with as little fanfare as possible, giving himself the Eagle's Splendor buff, then casts Dispel Magic in as subtle a manner as possible as well. (Just in case the magic being dispelled is higher than 3rd level, here's my roll: 23 )"
Halec watches with eager anticipation, not wanting to get his hopes up too much, but clearly wishing for the Bard's success in restoring the mule. "Please, gods of forge and fire, gods of animals and nature, anyone listening - let this work."
Not finding any thieves and slightly cooled down, and very depressed and sad, i return to the vault, cradling my stone child in my arms, as tears stream down my face.

Nope, instead you run right into Slough, even though you're invisible, he can still sense your presence and smirks slyly "Well, if it isn't the dwarf I locked up, yes, I know its you and yes, I can sense you. Now, where are your friends?" He motions his hand to cause sprinkles of turquoise dust to feather fall through the air, causing you to be visible again. "Don't get any ideas, I can make this painful"

OOC: Apologies for perpetuating the problem of quoting mass blocks of quotes, but for clarity on all the above, Anthony is outside of the vault area confronting Slough, while the rest of the party is inside the vault area, dealing with the petrified mule prior to taking a Long Rest within a Rope Trick, correct? The party is split accordingly?
(Yes by my point is why would you hide INSIDE a bank vault for a long time... someone could just close the door on you. Unless the door has some sort of internal release, of course, like a restaurant freezer for safety reasons. We could even leave altogether with the Snowflake shard.)
(I know I'm new and risk offending here, but my immediate gut reaction is that this party needs to slow down, think, and let the DM reply to things before we jump 5 steps ahead.)

OOC: Agreed, I would prefer to wait for the DM to clarify things before proceeding. I'm currently unclear on who is where, also, whether the vault is "locked" inside or opens, and other details of that nature.
DM, when you can, can you clarify the above? Also, as Exodus noted he would prefer to do Rope Trick outside the vault, is that an option? There's also some time issues - we would have resolved the dispell of the petrify on the mule prior to entering the Rope Trick, but I don't believe that's been stated as a success or failure.
1. Did the Dispell from the Bard work on the mule?
2. Would we be able to be in the Rope Trick outside of the vault instead of within after raiding the vault?
3. Would the mule be able to fit inside the rope trick along with the rest of us?
(OOC LOL, I didn't think of the mule and the Rope Trick, with emphasis on the rope. Good point. That may be enough to force us to leave the library instead of hide in a hidden pocket dimension. The rest of the time, however, if possible with the mule, I do love Rope Trick!)

1. the spell the bard cast causes the two statues of your animal companions to shake, bits of rock begin to fall off and free the companions from their stone prison.
2. Probably not (I'm not familiar with the Rope Trick spell)
OOC: If the mule has been restored, rather than attempting to force a mule into a rope trick - which will not work - we would probably attempt to take the mule out the main entrance and rest somewhere outside the Library.

I hand the potion and the feather to Halec and Chazeral ( Sorry did i spell it wrong? ) " Distribute these among yourselves. "
OOC: did i find any thugs to kill?

(If this wasn't already happening, Jahren would suggest the Rope Trick be cast outside the vault, so they don't shut the door on us.)
Oh, then I cast it outside the vault!
"Thank you, Ophiwalen," Halec says. "Chaz, would you like the ring, or the potion?"

Yes, I'd say this is downtime in a sealed vault

Sealed vault?
Well this isn't good... with Slough.
Can we assume the mule dispel was a success?

Chazrael nods. "I'll take the ring I suppose."
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Halec gives the Ring of Feather fall to the halfling and takes the potion.

"What an arrogant child" the thief says underneath his breath, then casts Sleep on the dwarf.

The book Jahren picked up is a leather bound tome reading the title "The Legends of Shimeria | Volume I: Birth of the Dark Lords"
