You can tell by the strain in their voice that they’re straining against some sort of collar around their necks, and gauging their health from the power behind their snarls you can tell that they’re not malnourished, but are definitely hungry.
Tomora crouches motionless, staring in to the cave entrance, listening intently. She grabs Xianon's forearm subconsciously "The wolves...they are captive... collared... hungry... we must help them...free them..."
Serwa is a bit out of her element with this, and it shows. She observes the communication, knowing Tomora’s abilities to be real, but having little personal understanding of the Druidic ways. Unsure what else to say, Serwa just nods. “If you can convince them we’re not food, I’ll try not to kill any wolves while we’re in there. Killing a goblin is still on my to-do list for the day, though.”
Aster continues with the goblin hostage "if we were to present you as hostage, would they care enough about you to give us the human in trade?"
Serwa stares expressionless at the goblin. "I doubt the others care about this one they had on sentry duty, or anyone or anything else. They'd probably shoot him themselves if we tried to use him as a shield. Or if they knew he'd given up their secrets."
The goblin thinks for a moment, then his eyes open wide and he says excitedly “Yeemik hate Klarg! Kill Klarg, Yeemik become boss, he hand over human to people who help him!”
Serwaseems to seriously ponder this, placing a hand on her chin. "Regime change. Wow, big stuff for one of our first missions. I'm not sure I can handle that kind of political intrigue." She does not sound at all overwhelmed.
The goblin turns to Aster and says “Follow main tunnel alongside stream, then go up stairs and you find Klarg. He keep Wolf and 2 goblin bodyguards on him at all time.”
Serwawill drag the halberd through the dirt and grass behind her for a moment, then spins it about and catch the goblin in the head with the blunt end, in the same matter she shattered the nose of the other one, aiming to knock it unconscious. (I assume no rolls are needed under these circumstances.) "I'm not going to go back on a deal," she says. "Although I did hit him pretty hard. Yeemik might forget his name, but he'll live. When he inevitably learns nothing from this brush with death and fails to turn over a new leaf, I'll kill him next time before he gets a chance to surrender."
"So, we have a goblin sentry ready to flood us, and some wolves Tomora's befriended that we could free. Someone want to scout ahead and at least take out the sentry so we don't have to swim to the rescue?"
The goblin falls unconscious under your blow pretty easily, he wasn’t resisting. (Yeemik is the name of a different goblin in the cave, the one he said was second in command under Klarg. You never got this goblin’s name.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"That's a great plan.Them wolves are fairly close...let me go talk to them, mayhaps they will agree to leave peaceful like." Tomora says anxiously "Xianon can also go in and see if he can spot the scout. Aster, you're awfully wise...perhaps you have some words of guidance?" Tomora will wait a moment to see if anyone objects, otherwise she will begin to stealth into the cave heading towards the wolves: Stealth 14 plus Guidance if given 3.

OOC: In-character Serwa assumed the goblin was speaking in the third person, talking about how he should be king, in a self-serving manner. She would not have assumed there actually was a second in command who is vying for control, so she In-Character believes she was speaking to, and knocked out, Yeemik. Thanks for the clarification, other party members may draw a different, correct, conclusion.
You sneak in pretty easily, going into the cave about 15 feet before turning to the right and seeing the wolves. A few uneven stone steps lead up to a small, dank chamber on the east side of the passage. The cave narrows to a steep fissure at the far end, and is filled with the stench of animals. Savage snarls and the sounds of rattling chains greet your ears where three wolves are chained up just inside the opening. Each wolf’s chain leads to an iron rod driven into the base of a stalagmite.
Currently Tomora sees the wolves, but hasn’t yet seen the scout. If the rest of you are going in at the moment as well I’ll need you all to roll stealth checks, and the cave is dark so only those with dark vision can see anything.

The goblin just nods sadly at what Serwa said.
"I had similar thoughts. Then tell me, is there something else they could want in trade for the human? other than death?"

"Thank you for your cooperation" Aster then turns to serwa: "I think that is all we need to know. If you want, have fun."

(OOC: Alright, sounds good 👍)
OOC: So to confirm, we see the wolves, but we have not yet reached the sentry the goblin noted who could flood the chamber?
