Yeah, sure. Eglig agrees and you all start heading down the main path to the bugbear and guards.

(ok, nevermind. We're gonna have to wait until he shows up. We'll pause at Durk telling you the information, what happens next is kinda important.)

(Can one of us play Eglig? Cos he's being pedantic)

(I really think it's either be better to wait until he shows up, or someone else takes the front place in the party and just have him trail in the back. Do you think he'll be long?)

I switch with the Goliath, taking his place at the front of the party as he meanders to the back line in an air-headed manner.

Ok, Nico takes the front. As you head towards the gates, the Bugbear steps to one side, and the guards the other side. As you approach, he says in his deep, guttural voice. "These yer 'companions', demon?" with a mocking smirk. His eyes travel over the party, going over everyone evenly. 

"yes they are, an odd bunch i must admit"

says calmly

Nico, do you lead the party through the gate?

I do, leading the party through calmly and attempting to view the road ahead.

As you pass the Bugbear, you hear a sword coming out of its sheath.

The Bugbear yells to his comrades, "GET THE MAIDENS!" and slashes Nico across her back, dropping her instantly. 

The guards rush forward and attempt to grab the maidens. 

Everyone but Nico, roll either an athletics or acrobatics check, whichever is higher. I'll roll for Eglig.

Eglig Athletics: 15

qucikly draws my rapier and points it towards the bugbear and shouts to the maiden telling them to run to a safe distance

(I attempt to dash forward to touch the druid to cast mage armour ) (To slow)
