He seems weakened, he fires one last shot at you, Rubin and staggers away ( Opportunity attacks, anyone? )

Was he actually engaged in melee range with us, or firing from a distance? Do you mean opportunity attacks, a single melee attack as a reaction, or just shooting at his back as he flees?

Well, I use a house rule where opportunity attacks can also be ranged.
OOC: For the DM - Did the fireball deal damage and/or explode their flamethrower weapons?
It deals damage but the weapons don't explode.
their dex save: 5
OOC: OK, they might still need to roll the damage for the fireball. Also, whose turn is it presently?
Rubin, the guards, Grafry and Mardon

already posted Rubin's action so...
You kill one guard, he drops the strange weapon
The two remaining guards spray fire at the two on the carriage, dealing 26 on a failed dex dc 13 save or half on a success.
Mardon Dex Save: 18
I have noted 13 fire damage.
Mardon again fires as he did before:
1st attack
6
2nd attack
15
3rd attack
19
2nd attack damage roll:
18
3rd attack damage roll:
19
Grafyr Dex save 9
Paladin - warforged - orange
Grafyr is down
Paladin - warforged - orange
I guard falls as bolts go through his Armour
Rubin.
Rubin sends another flurry of shots at the guard (I believe there is just one left now, so let me know if that is incorrect.)
To hit: 19
Damage: 15

Rubin would cast goodberry and feed some to his downed companion if he has time. If that means the one guard gets away then so be it.

Gafry is back up after the goodberry with one hit point.
If opportunity strikes can be ranged, then he would have done that as well...
