Mardon enters carefully along with his ally, hand crossbow at the ready, and looking for ‘the package,’ the crate from Ravinica with the contraband weapons.
"Well, if they put lights in here, then this is not just a storage area." Rubin comments as he looks around. "no one leaves storage areas lit up like this..."
Rubin looks over the tower's blueprints, while placing the item ones into his pack. "Best not leave these behind..." He explains. Once done looking at the tower blueprints, he would move to the crates and see what is in them.
Mardon also begins to examine the crates, looking for their goal, and beginning to ponder how they will get it out of there when they do find it. "You think the contraband weapons were those flame-tossers, maybe? Possible they just busted open that crate and put the goods to use."
Mardon moves to the double doors and swings them wide open, in such a way as to create a gust of wind to make his coat billow and blow behind him. He poses there briefly, a bit longer than he needs to, then smirks at Rubin. “We make this stuff look good.”
rubin is out of the sight of the doors as his companions swings them open, waiting to see if the act has attacks following the opening of the door. If no attacks come he would peek around into the open doorway.
"Be a little more careful, won't you?" Rubin asks his companion with a raised eyebrow.
Mardon shrugs, then quietly falls into step with Rubin, surveying the room ahead and looking for any signs of the crates, or trouble. "Gotta showboat once in a while. Big damn heroes and all. Force Gray comes knocking people outta piss their pants."
Outside the double doors is a small room with a portcullis facing the roof you were on earlier, inside are 2 guards who look shocked to see you there. They point their spears at you and yell " Stay back! "
Mardon fires on the leftmost of the two guards, first. If that guard falls he fires on the rightmost of the two. He makes use of Crossbow Master for a Bonus Action Attack and Sharpshooter for -5 to hit, +10 to damage.

The trap door swings opens easily, revealing a well lit room with several barrels and crates

Rubin follows the way up and inside.
"Well, if they put lights in here, then this is not just a storage area." Rubin comments as he looks around. "no one leaves storage areas lit up like this..."
There is no one inside the room, but there is a workbench with several parchments on it.
Rubin moves over to examine the workbench and the parchments upon it.
Some of them are maps of the tower, others are blueprints for items.
“Any of those show where they might be storing the target item?” Mardon asks Rubin, moving to aid him in his examination.

The crates contain mundane items, wine bottles, food supplies and such. Once you finish here, there is a staircase up.
"Looks like we go up." Rubin whispers, nodding to the stairs. He heads in that direction when his companion is ready.
“Let’s do it. They better hope they’re lucky enough not to spot us,” Mardon says. “Once we go hot, it stays hot.” He will head up with Rubin.
The room above contains a circular room, in the middle is a winding staircase that goes upwards. On the walls is a large pair of double doors.
