"Can't be any worse than what we have done so far." Rubin agrees with the plan.
(DM, you normally just roll the normal damage and, if someone saves for half, they just divide it by 2. If you want us to roll the 4d8, then tell us to do so, otherwise just roll 4d8 and those who save for half can divide the damage by 2.)

He sees several groups of guards, some of them have one of the guards holding the flame weapon. At the top of the tower is a door.

Ander relays what he sees to Rubin and Mardon. Having scouted up to the top where the door is (I'm guessing it was closed?), Ander clicks his fingers and Clover disappears to the pocket realm.
(How many guards are in each group? And are they all together, or at different floors/stages up the tower?)
"Before we continue up, how are you two feeling after the search through this tower so far? Do either of you need healing?" Ander looks at the two dead guards on the floor around them. "Perhaps we should hide these two? If I can, I'll try to convince a few guards to head to the gate, and a few dead bodies here might ruin that ruse." If need be, Ander will use Prestidigitation to snuff out some torches or candles to make some dark corners in the room.
"I was not quite quick enough with that last fire weapon." Rubin says as he looks fairly singed now. "I could use some healing if you have it to offer, or I can do some myself."
"That's alright gents, glad to help," Ander scratches his chin in thought, "One thing worries me though. I've only got enough skill to cast one more spell before needing to take a break for a short rest. If we stick with the orginal plan to make you invisible I'll only have a few spots of healing light left for us all, should things go hairy. What are your thoughts? Stick with the original plan and hope for the best? Or save the spell, and just have you sneak up behind me to cover?"
(The plan will also change/depend on how spread out the guards are that Clover saw before the door.)
“It’s still the best plan we’ve had so far,” Mardon says. “The fact that we might be bleeding out if we don’t get lucky don’t change that. I’ll leave it to Rubin. He still looks like s***, no offense, man. Your call - invisibility or healing? I didn’t dress for stealth so you know I’m all about that invisibility.”

"Well, it's not conventional, but we could hide in a closet I suppose. If we do that, I can heal up Rubin some more prior. Just hope there's no patrols," Ander chuckles nervously. "But it might be worth it with several groups of four guards up this tower. And I'm not sure what is behind that door at the top."
(OOC - looking at Rubin now, he has 34/44 after the good berries, you're at 37/49 I think it was and I'm at 27/33, so we're not too bad. Push on to take on one more squad then hole up somewhere to rest?)

Ander lays a hand on Mardon's shoulder and uses 1 of 2 spell slots to cast Cure Wounds at 3rd level (Heal: 22).
Then turns to Rubin and uses Healing Light to use 3 of 6 d6 (Heal: 12).

You believe you could sneak a rest if you were extra sneaky. There are broom closets you can hide in and the basement is probably still empty.

Rubin casts goodberry and then eats the ten berries. (Gains 10 hp.)
Rubin would have added this flamethrower to the other ones he is already carrying.
