Mardon shrugs and examines the crate in front of them in the room with the boss and his goons, considering it fairly likely they kept the “real” contraband weapons close to them. He uses a crowbar if needed to open it, while the others keep watch for trouble.
OOC: For the DM, let us know on the content of the crates in the room, and if it appears to be the package we were sent to retrieve.

You believe it would be, but the crate is closed and you cant see inside it.
As you open the box, a reaction explodes the crate, make dex saves.
(DM question - where would Ander be in proximity to the explosion in the room based on the fact that he went for cover earlier during the fight with Drago? & Rubin was at the door?)

Ander's second roll for the Advantage on Dex Save: 7
(OOC - you're kidding me! Two terrible saves and I was saving my last healing d6 in case someone else went down. I'm on 12hp so unless that 8d6 damage roll is atrociously bad, I think Ander is out :( Sorry guys, it's been real *sad waves*)
(OOC - how are you guys looking after that? Ander is out, with only 12hp and two failed dex saves *sad panda*)
OOC: If we go with my roll Mardon has 2 HP left and can try to stabilize Ander. It depends on what the DM decides, typically the DM rolls damage, so if that’s the case it could end up higher, and then we are all dead together, lol.
(OOC - yeah, my bad guys. Ander dragged you all into this one. Definitely didn't go down how I thought. I wasn't expecting to get all the way to the boss man like that, and thought we'd have a chance to rest up at the next point *whelp*. And stabilising Ander is all well and good, but it doesn't wake him to heal anyone else and I'm the healer! Should have thought that through more, my bad.)
OOC: I will wait for the DM to confirm if they want to roll their own fire damage or go with the roll I did. If we assume it was my roll, Marden would have gone down to 2 HP from the damage, and end up at 7 after the goodberries.
OOC: Dm, please advise whether my roll stands for the fire damage. If so it looks like we can scrape by, though we are in bad shape. A higher roll might have rendered us all unconscious. I rolled at the lower end of the curve for average damage.
Rubin keeps watch in the room.
Perception: 18

Ander save: 9
Rubin dex save: 11
Mardon Dex Save: 7
(OOC - well this doesn't look good *gulp*)

I'll give you advantage.
Anyone who got below 13 takes 8d6 fire damage, or else take half.
OOC: Do you want to roll? Or should we?

OOC: Assuming you want one of us to roll it, the 8d6 fire damage we take the full damage of is: 19
If the DM prefers to roll it for themself, we can wait on that, alternatively.

Being at the door I assume Rubin has advantage as well:
dex save: 14
Even with full damage he is fine, he had 26 HP.
He casts goodberry and force-feeds five to each of you.
"Probably not much left of whatever was in there then..." Rubin says as the smoke clears.
.
Substracted the half-damage from my sheet.

DM, can you confirm, before we proceed?

both are finel, thanks for asking.
