(OOC - Mardon was the only one left standing and after taking the brunt of that explosion! Are we playing on that Mardon survived on 2hp and fed Rubin and Ander goodberries?)
Being at the door I assume Rubin has advantage as well:
dex save: 21
Even with full damage he is fine, he had 26 HP.
He casts goodberry and force-feeds five to each of you.
"Probably not much left of whatever was in there then..." Rubin says as the smoke clears.
.
OOC: No, Rubin was OK also, two remained conscious, and Rubin's goodberries would have ensured we are all now revised and conscious.
Mardon curses extravagantly. "Burns, man, I'm gonna have burns after this, burn scars everywhere. Full on restoration magic is expensive. I'm gonna go to my daughter's recital looking like a mummy all wrapped in bandages and ****. This mission is ****. Is this even the package? Is it even in this room? Or just a bunch of damn boxes that explode?"
Mardon looks around the chamber to see if there are other crates that could be the target item, but is much more hesitant to examine any. "Thanks for the berries, Rubin. They were good, just like the name says."
Ander gasps as he regains consciousness. "T'anks ta ya both for that," he gets up slowly and looks around the room as well. "Rubin, make sure yer careful wit' them fire contraptions. T'ink that box might've had a few innit."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ander takes a few moments to look around the room, and finally recovering a bit of energy, he casts his last healing light on Rubin (healing 1). "My apologies for gettin' you both in this mess. Was a little too brazen an' thought we'd get another chance to rest first. Hind sight'd be the richest man in the world, I know." He closes his eyes a moment, casting guidance on himself to aid in his search, and looks around the room a bit more closely now (perception: 6 + 3).
(DM - are there any other exits, other than the door we originally came in? And what other crates or cargo sits in the room?)
"Let's just do what we need to do here and get out." Rubin says with a grunt of displeasure at the smoke in the air. He would help search for anything else and be ready to head out of here, assuming we have what we came for, or at least what we came for is destroyed.
(OOC - well, we at least have the two flamethrower things you picked up, so not entirely lost *shrug*)
OOC: DM, should we consider the mission “compete” based on our in character knowledge, and leave, at this point? Or would we know in character that it is not?
Ander gasps as he regains consciousness. "T'anks ta ya both for that," he gets up slowly and looks around the room as well. "Rubin, make sure yer careful wit' them fire contraptions. T'ink that box might've had a few innit."
Most of the contraptions are destroyed, but you still have the few the guards dropped.

He closes his eyes a moment, casting guidance on himself to aid in his search, and looks around the room a bit more closely now (perception: 18 + 3).

I would say yes. The journey downwards is uneventful, and X accepts the few remaining contraptions. He pays you all 100 gp. (I think that was the agreed amount, unless we didn't agree on one yet.) And you all gain a level.
"Well that was... interesting," Ander says to Rubin and Mardon once they return for their payment. "Are all your contracts so vague with details?"
He tucks the coin away and prepares for the next contract to come up.
“I sure hope not,” Mardon says. “Usually contracts have more specifics than ‘get contraband weapons from a crate but we won’t describe ‘em or give you any other intel.’ Best case this was rushed, some informant gave them last minute information and they scrambled a team and sent us expendable types in without proper intel. Worst case, somethin’ shady is going on behind the scenes of Force Gray. I was hoping to do a few more jobs, make sure my wife and little girl got enough money put away that they can live like the deserve and I can do somethin’ less dangerous. The old lady is always bustin’ my chops about this work, telling me to get into something less dangerous. I guess I’m not as young as I used to be. Much as I hate to admit it, maybe she’s right.”
Ander shakes his head as Mardon says he's getting too old, "Old is just a state of mind. You were quick on the draw in there."
Ander looks over the bounties posted. He taps his finger on the second, "Click an' collect sounds okay, but might have some collateral. Or perhaps the first might be a little more straight forward after the last snafu?"
Rubin would use some coin to purchase crossbow bolts to replace the ones he lost in the previous job. He would then look over the new postings with the others.
"I am good with any of them." he says with a shrug. "No big issue with any of them, I'll back you two up in either one, just tell me which one you guys want to be doing."

But I would say that only Mardon would have to make death saving throws, for he opened the box.
is mardon reduced to 0 hp?
OOC: No, based on my roll on damage he had 2 hp left.

I will post new bounties on the Bounty Posting PM shortly, meanwhile tell me what you want to do for your downtime.

"It sure was, we got the message from the griffon riders after some of them spotted them unloading the crate from a airship."
I've posted the bounty's, choose one from the 3
