Raist sits down and enjoys the banter of his friends going back and forth enjoying the downtime. Then turns to Caravas, "Shall we be off or are we waiting for anyone else?"
Caravas turns as he is spoken to. "It does appear everyone is accounted for." He says with a glance around, his manner aloof and a bit distainfull. He gives a wave to one of the hobgoblin crew, and soon the boat is setting out across the water. He nods to Raist as he turns back to his study of the horizon.
As the ship sets sail, Jaro will turn to their temporary host, "Is there somewhere below decks we can wait out the journey? I'd rather not stand up here the whole time, or any time if I can manage."
Caravas turns back to the group. "Yes, there is certainly suites for each of you to rest if you wish." He says, nodding to one of the hobgoblin crew. "Please show our guests to their accommodations." He turns back to the group then. "Feel free to wander the ship as you will, the trip will take a few days. I am sure many of you are wondering why you could not just have been teleported to the island. Just for your curiosity's sake, let it be known that there is simply no way to do so. Planeshift and Teleportation do not work to get to the island, otherwise there would be all sorts of powerful people just popping in on a whim, which would not do at all."
"Do not worry too much about it." Stalker says to Jown. "Humans tend to forget things as they get old. It is just part of your aging process." He nods to the other warrior and moves to speak with others of the group.
When their host has a hobgoblin show him to his room, Stalker would check it out, then return above-deck to watch the waves as the ship continues along. He is use to being alone, so would seek a less-crowded area to stand by the railing for a time.
Jaro would check out his room, then wander around the lower decks for a time, exploring casually, before returning to his room. He will leave the door propped open in case others stop by though.
Jown Sno (oh oh oh oh) would go to his room to give it look see. He grumbles a bit about the comment on getting old. He isn't upset with Stalker at all. It is true that he is getting old and it is normal to forget as you get older. Still, it feels weird to hear it and actively think about it. He never did find a love to settle down with. Now he's 53 and not much chance of that. How long had he be in the guard? Was it worth it?
Malus will take a look at the rooms and the rest of the ship. Everything was of the highest quality. It was a level of luxury that he was not used to. He goes to the bar to get a drink.
Merlin takes the chance to go down with Ted to see the accommodations. He wanders the ship checking each corner to understand it better. He is a curious one for several definitions of the term curious.
Perdan will spend much of his time above deck to start with. He'd spread his arms and just enjoy the light upon his light fur and breath deep the fresh air. He was happy to hear they would have a few days before things truly got hectic. After a bit he'd fine one of the hobgoblins and ask, "Any chance there is a fishing pole I could use. Seems a great way to pass the time and nothing much is better than a fresh catch."

You are given fishing gear. As with everything the pole is absolute artistry. fully adamantine with spider-silk fishing line.
Give me a survival check. The size of fish is dependent on the first survival check. 10 = small, 15 = medium, 20 = large, 25 = huge.
Then give me a second survival check. The second needs to best the first survival check. If it does you are able to bring it in. if it is less than or equal to, then you are not able to get it to the ship and it gets away.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Perdan admires the pole, it is so much more than he is use to. Taking it off to the side of the boat he attaches some bate and casts off. Calmly he starts humming to himself, enjoying the relaxing time when the line starts to unravel as he hooks something.
Survival: 18
A massive fish, maybe even a small kraken crests the water and eyes Perdan. They lock on to each other and he sees a semblance of some intelligence there. He puts his foot on the rail to give some additional stability to hold this majestic creature up for a moment longer. Then, with her of its head, the line snaps Perdan stumbles backwards a bit.
Survival 29
Ooc: with a nat 20 there was no way to beat the first roll. Had thought about using spells like telekinesis to lift it into the boat but felt Perdan would more respect the creature.
You have a very comfortable, and luxurious trip. As the last leg of the trip starts, the morning of the day you are to arrive at the island, Caravas finds the group of you and gets you all to gather in a conference-style room aboard ship. He speaks down his nose at you with supercilious bearing. He carries an enormous book in the crook of his left arm at all times, which he opens whenever negotiating a contract to consult his notes and legal references. From this book, he draws a massive parchment, almost 20 ft. in length, that he requires you to sign before landing on the island. As explained by Caravas in summary, the contract states that the players shall take no direct action that would harm Dalia or her interests in any way. In addition, it stipulates that the players will do all within their power short of knowingly giving their lives to accomplish the tasks Dalia has for them within the period of one day. The successful completion of the contract compensates the players with 100,000 gold pieces, and a non-artifact, Legendary magical item of their choice for each player character. The contract is magically binding, inflicting an Imprisonment (Burial) spell on those who break the treaty (treat this as an Epic effect that does not allow a saving throw).
THE LEGAL CODE OF THE ISLE OF PARADISE Municipal Guidelines: All penalties take the form of fees, which must be paid immediately. Fees that cannot be paid require the perpetrator to enlist in Dalia's service until the debt has been repaid (at her discretion). Paragraph A: All currency that is at any point not in possession of an individual immediately becomes property of Dalia Concordat. Fee: 100 Gold Pieces. Paragraph B: Loitering is forbidden, as is panhandling. Fee: 1,000 Gold Pieces Paragraph C: All items from registered vendors are for sale. All prices for items must be registered with the Trade Consortium. Only registered vendors may sell goods or services. Fee: 10,000 Gold Pieces. Paragraph D: Violence is forbidden, as is trespassing. Fee: 20,000 Gold Pieces, action of any nature deemed necessary by Dalia Concordat.

Jown responds nervously to Stalker. "Perhaps your right. I had forgotten that we've met at Maximar's 30 years ago. How could I forget that?"
Caravas turns back to the group. "Yes, there is certainly suites for each of you to rest if you wish." He says, nodding to one of the hobgoblin crew. "Please show our guests to their accommodations." As you explore the ship you find a very expensive-looking bar, dining area, and more. Pretty much the lap of luxury here.

Lot's of stuff ...
Raist goes to his cabin and stows his stuff and then will occupy a spot at the bar for most of the trip.

The massive sea creature lowers back into the water and disappears, content to let you continue on your way.
