You are also able to find another guild member who is willing to try and break the curse of the glaives, at 500 each.
Talinian considers the offer. "You will try to break the curse? If you fail, will you still charge us? Additionally, I had thought the charge would be reduced, perhaps even waived, forgiven. I ask that you consider you would have the items for study...well, at least mine. All you need do it not touch the items to be safe. In your place I would reconsider such a high charge for such a...valuable item of study. Think what you might learn in the field of time magics, attunement, and weapon enhancement. I will be at the inn for another two week. Please send word if you can see a path to...reduce your fee. In the meantime, I will see about researching other...alternatives. Thank you for your time."
I'm going to say that Talinian has taken 24 (10 days worth of scroll making, 1 week to research the information on the glaive's curse and 1 week finding the wizard) of the 30 days, giving you one week left
Quinn is a young human Barbarian who bought the scroll from you. Seeing as they are the same spell lvl, make a persuasion check DC 10 sells one, DC 15 sells 2, then make one charisma check per scroll you sell, base price 500 each.
Alwel is a land elf cleric, that has agreed to remove the curse for you. "500 gold is at cost." She informs you. (Mechanically treating this as if it was a scroll being made and sold. Its a 3rd lvl spell which would cost 500 to make, selling base price being 1k, you rolled over an 11 so rather than doing it at 100% base, she is selling it at 50% base, a nat 1 would have made the price 1500 gold.)

After meeting with the cleric, Talinian goes to Korba and advises him of the offer to try to remove the cursed glaive, and the 500 gold piece cost. "What do you think, my friend?" he asks the warlock. "I think I will wait a bit, see if I can obtain more funds, perhaps find a less expensive way to break the curse, something a little more certain than...try."
For the rest of their time off, the last week, Talinian will try to find someone else willing to purchase a spell scroll of Flaming Sphere or Cloud of Daggers. He will also begin the research into creating a Wand of Magic Missiles. If he cannot locate a purchaser, on the last day he will use the 500 gold paid by the barbarian to create a scroll of Chromatic Orb cast at the higher level and one of Cloud of Daggers.Edit
Seeing as you only have a few days left, I'll give you two choices A try and sell the scrolls, or B research for the wand.
If your going with the scrolls roll charisma check, at disadvantage seeing as this will be the second time trying to sell them, then the two charisma checks for price, DC set is the same.
If your going to go with the wand, state how much gold your willing to spend past 50, +1 to the intelligence check roll per 50 gold. For each bit of lore you gain I will allow you to add it to your rolls in the future to make the wand.
It's been about 3 weeks since any contracts have come through, a lot of guild members have left and gone to other halls in hope for more work.
On this morning there are 5 of you sitting in the guild hall. (Please describe yourself, also Talinian and Bones are you two sitting together?)
But today there is a contract that the cranky old Gnome, Orros, has just posted. As soon as it's posted all 5 of you jump up and run to the posted contract.
It reads:
Bad Bard, and Ooze destroying Presdines. Please come stop Davey the Bard. 1000 gold
You would all have probably heard of Presdines, it's a small town to the west it would take just less than a week to get there.
Talinian leaves the temple, a little dazed at the rapidity at which the curse was removed. The glaive, safely carried without actually touching the thing, might be worth a great deal to the right person. Upon returning to the tavern, he wrote several notes and had them delivered to various antiquities dealers around the city as well as one to their first client, Anneleth. He might be very interested in such a rare item of elvish lore.
tag: DM :) (this doesn't have to happen before we leave and he is just sending out letters.)
A couple of days later, Talinian sits with Bones in the guild hall, considering the changes in their group. Gorm and Olivia just...gone. Korba off doing something personal. Of the original group, only he remained. Now, he and Bones would be the experienced ones.
"Was your time off productive, Bones? I used it craft several scrolls. I even sold one. I also began the research to create a [magicitem]Wand of Magic Missiles[/spell]. Hopefully, the next time we have some off I can complete it." Just then, Orros posts a new job and Talinian and Bones head to see, three new guild members all head over. Talinian nods at them.
"Greetings. I am Talinian the Blue, a wizard."
Talinian is a tall tiefling, a little over 6' with the tips of wings poking out from behind him. He has deep blue hair, red skin, and golden, cat-like eyes.
An older looking, but muscular, Dwarf sits alone at a table in the far corner, a finished plate of breakfast sat in front of him, and an untouched flaggon of ale in his hand. Thodin Snowhammer keeps his eyes on the room, in particular the Gnome that he has spoken to previously, waiting for some Guild mission or other to get posted.
Sat stiffly in full plate armor, a Warhammer and shield at his side, Thodin runs a hand over his long white beard, grumbling to himself quietly as the Gnome approaches the board.
His long years, some 270 or so, had taught him some patience, so the Dwarf does not move initially. But, as the others take to their feet and begin reading the job, Thodin decides to investigate, and meets the others at the board as Talinian introduces himself.
In a low grumbling tone, Thodin speaks “Well met, Talinian, my name is Thodin Snowhammer. Not seen many Tieflings in my time, those that I have...” the Dwarf trails off slightly, then attempts another “.. uh, how long have you been with the Guild?” he says as he approaches the job and reads through it.
Fiume is an odd looking fellow, he skin is blue and his messy hair a icy blue. He wears a simple cloak and has a small necklace that is made up of string and charcoal beads. A very odd genasi indeed.
“Well hello there, I’m Fiume! I’m excited to work with you guys.”
"Very productive, friend," Bones replies to Talinian's query about their downtime. "Though, maybe not as productive as yours. I concocted some healing potions and managed a greater one as well. I'm glad that my time performing burial rituals for the local temple paid off and we got that curse removed for you."
Brandal Flintneck nods his head to the newcomers in response to their greeting. He is quiet and unassuming as most svirfneblin, or deep gnomes in the common tongue, are.
His grey skin covers a thin and wiry body. It almost seems like you can make out every muscle fibre in his arms and legs that isn't covered by his sleeveless leather armour and short pants. The top of his head is bald, but his white, thick, bushy eyebrows sit above deep set eyes, and his long white beard hangs almost to his knees and is tied at the end to keep it neat. His face has a slight discolouration, like his skin had tanned around what looks like the top of a skull that matched his own features (think Baron Samedi but not as pronounced or obvious). This earned him the nickname "Bones", though it may have also been his chosen profession, he's not sure.
"I am... Bones," he says in a low gruff voice, lightly tapping his chest to indicate himself to the group, "I too, am wizard, though I can heal if necessary."
Having taken a moment to take in the others and seeming happy with what he sees, Bones settles a little. Looking at Flume as she circles him, Bones responds, "I have yet to meet one such as you either. Though I would appreciate less circling if you wished to examine me," he shuffles uncomfortably and raises an eyebrow.
"Well met, Thodin and Flume. It will be good to get some new blood in our team. It seems that this request is better done sooner, rather than later. I am prepared to leave at your earliest convenience."
"Well met, Thodin and Flume. It will be good to get some new blood in our team. It seems that this request is better done sooner, rather than later. I am prepared to leave at your earliest convenience."
"I agree, but first we need to speak with Orros to confirm we have the contract." Waiting a moment to see if anyone objects, Talinian moves to the old gnome. "Hello, Orros. I trust you have been well. Our group," he indicates the 5 of them, "will take this contract. Are there any more details?"
The old Dwarf takes in his new "companions" as they stand around the board,; so far they all seemed like good well-to-do people, and if they were part of the Guild, and not new either, then that sounded good to Thodin.
As Talinian moves to speak to Orros, Thodin follows, eager to find out more alongside the Tiefling. "Aye, details would be nice, Orros" the Dwarf adds, not rudely but just grumpily.
Bones follows the others over to Orros, but glances to Flume as he does. "I understand seclusion. I, myself lived much in solitary. You'll likely meet a good many more people as we travel. Perhaps, keep in mind the whole..." Bones makes a gesture with his hand to indicate the circling and closeness.

“Yeah, meeting people is fun but I get nervous half the time”
Orros gives a slightly less annoyed look, over the past month you all had managed to wear some of his thick layer off.
"Messenger dropped it off, I guess that there are some Oozes around, dealt with them a few times myself, rather pain of things. I've came across three types, one was a human like things, when ever the the oaf I was with would hit them with his axe it would cleave the body part off, but then the ooze would just get sucked back in, and rebuild itself. The second, I ran into them before even joining the guild, anyway really easy to hit, and kill, but I was with a former knight, and he lost his sword, and armor to the things. Lastly these ones where a real menace, if you hit them they split into two, and again and again. The Mayor's name is Roy.... Ummm. Luckheart, Lockheart, Luckamore... Ummm I can remember his last name, really @$$ hat if you ask me.... Ummmm actually, don't mention to him that you know me. Bones you might like."

Hmmm...let's do the research. Talinian will spend 150 gold on his pre-research and craft 1 more scroll for his personal use, a Cloud of Daggers.
