"Yes. Finding her is the goal... Also that's an interesting point Olivia." Korba says, looking ahead as they make their way through town. "Are we expecting trouble? Perhaps some could wait outside to watch for trouble? It might not be the best to completely split our small group." Sheathing his dagger, he reaches his left hand to the right and touch his large Signet ring, adding "I tend to be able to command a bit of respect, so would like to go in myself."
Feature: Position of Privilege
Thanks to your noble birth, people are inclined to think the best of you. You are welcome in high society, and people assume you have the right to be wherever you are. The common folk make every effort to accommodate you and avoid your displeasure, and other people of high birth treat you as a member of the same social sphere. You can secure an audience with a local noble if you need to.
Though Korba isn't of noble birth, he is a member of a noble household, so can call this in from time to time. And a bit meta... I just noticed we have 3 CHA characters ^^
Talinian smiled with patient good humor. “Anywhere I go, Olivia, I cause unwanted attention,” he said with a chuckle. “I think we should stay together.”
Olivia turns to Talinian, "I just think a full adventuring party will cause suspicion, but if her pen pal and dashing half elven nobleman come looking for her whoever we're asking is much more likely to respond in an appropriate manner."
Talinian considered the human female. She certainly liked to take charge. Did she think she was in charge? It was perhaps time to...no, after they left the tavern was time enough for that. "I am not certain I agree with your analysis, Olivia. However, we will try it your way...with a single change. I will enter ahead of you by...two minutes?...and sit where I can observe the activity after you enter. Simply ignore me as you enter. Thoughts?"
Olivia gives the tiefling a nod, "Just try to be subtle if you're going to be watching him, I've never been too great at reading people so if you think you can it'll just make it all the better."
"Wubroth, you and Talinian go in together. Grab a pint and keep an eye out for anything suspicious as we enter and ask questions. Olivia and I will follow a few minutes later." Korba says to the group, and then to Olivia "You take the lead and I'll follow along."
Making your way through The 5 Chapels and the Cabbage Ward to find The Tangy Noise is easy enough. The 5 Chapels has chapples, and places of worship, beggars going to get food from the churches, and an orphanage in each section. While walking through The 5 Chapels you start to spreed yourselves out. The Cabbage Ward is filled with shops, bakeries, butchers, carts that are selling produce, and other odds and ends.
Nartas, Talinian, and Wubroth walk in first, and sit a table, a few minutes later Olivia and Korba walk into The Tangy Noise, it looks to be your standard tavern on the walls. It is larger on the inside than most taverns. But most of that space seems to be wasted by an open area in the middle of it. Tables do surround the open area better known as a dance floor, the tables have booths on the other side. Straight ahead is an open stage, there are tables in front of the stage, but no booths. On the stage is a female Dwarf, she is slightly taller and thinner than most dwarfs, with a softer face, she is lightly playing a dulcimer, and singing a folk song. In the right hand corner there is a corner bar with stools at it. Five of the tables have people sitting at them, One has a family of Half-orcs, another table sits 3 local guards, who have stripped down some of their gear looking a little tired. One table sits two old human men, they look to be in their 60s, and seem to be entranced with the Half-Dwarf signer, another table has 3 farm hands sitting down for their lunch and seem to be also more interested in the signer than their lunch. The last table is actually 3 tables pulled together, it has 3 women and 11 children sitting at it. A young human woman with an apron on is talking to the 3 women. Behind the bar is a very young half elf man.
Nartas, Talinian, and Wubroth the human girl says to you as you sit down. “Ill be with you in a moment.”
Olivia and Korba on the other hand walk in and to the bar. “What can I get you? House rum is popular, so is the reisling.”
Olivia will walk up to the edge of the bar, holding her hands together below her waist. "Uh, hi mister. I was actually looking for a friend of mine. See we were pen pals and we were supposed to finally meet in person but she wasn't in the place she said she would be. She said she likes to come here to dance, her name is Eris, have you seen her?" Olivia's voice is shaky and nervous. She continues, "I'm really sorry to bother you with this."
"Of course I know Eris. She was in here on Saturday night, like she is about once a month. She was ripping up the dance floor, as always. Can’t say that I know all that much about her. She did take a liking to the signer of the troop of bards that were here. But they left Sunday morning.” He reaches his hand out and puts it on yours. “Now how about a drink, lovely?”
Olivia gets closer to the half elf man taking a deep gasp, "Oh. My. God. Did she ditch me to run away with the love of her life? Because I 100% would be down to be the maid of honor, please tell me you know where those bards went."
"They were going to go to Fadunne, but not after that." There are two roads out of town, one goes to Fomyarge and there is nothing past that. The other road goes to Fadunne, so his knolage is really nothing. You would know its a 4-5 day travel.
"We were not friends or anything, I just know her because she was somewhat of a regular, she was pretty, and really lost on what is normal and ok in the world. I mean the first time she came in she was shocked that she had to pay for her drink.” The Half-elf answers.
Joining in on Olivia's ruse, Korba chuckles at the half-elf saying how Eris didn't know to pay for a drink and says "That's so like her! A bit unfamiliar with the world at times... I will take a drink though. A reisling sounds amazing." When it arrives he holds his right hand over the glass flashing his signet ring and snaps his fingers causing the wine and glass to magically chill. "My girlfriend here was so looking forward to seeing her again! As it's been a while and they were due for a girls night out. Did you happen to see if our girl Eris left with that bard after dancing?"
I'm doing this as my 'help' to Olivia, so not rolling my own deception.

A smirk can be seen forming on Olivia's face, "I might have an idea for you... I've always been good at lying so we could go in together."
Reading Olivia's face Korba smiles and says "I can be persuasive in my own right, but I'll gladly follow your lead today."
